Staff in poof should appear offline on /friends

Tell them to use /support to communicate with you. WarZ players would abuse that to find out staff is on by just messaging you with a [ . ] for example .

 

People could be friended on one account with me and tell their alting friends that a Staff member is on.

 

Another way is for something to be implemented allowing certain players to message them for a period of time. The period of time would be canceled if the staff member logs into another server or Disallows the user to message them any longer. I agree with if a Mod is online in poof they shouldn't be shown on your friend's list.

Edit: Also a way for a staff member to change their IGN to something else in the game so they can play and fight hackers without them knowing they are a Mod. This should show them as offline in the friends list due to another IGN too.

 

I think like @SoCool21 said, you should be able to PM staff in poof if they are on your friends list. There have been so many times when I have been trying to help Eil, Sn4x5, SoCool and other moderators by telling them where a hacker is or they ask me questions, I have to reply in global chat and sometimes the hacker sees it and toggles their hacks off.

 

How? There's literally been 1 case where this has been an issue and it was yours. Maybe just don't hack?

some clients have it (not going to name) where you add staff member's names/uuid's to a list and enable the hack; it sends a notification in chat if any of those accounts log into the server you're on

One case where what was an issue? Someone hacking? Someone PMing a staff member to tell them someone is hacking? The fact that you decided to tell the staff member someone was hacking in chat instead of using the commands specifically designed for alerting staff members that someone is hacking?

If "maybe just don't hack" was enough to get people to stop, there wouldn't be any problem.

As I see it, /poof should not allow anyone to tell that staff member is online, through any means.

 

Where a hacker has been alerted because of a staff not being in tab but being online in friends list. I use /report but a lot of the time, a mod will ask me to 1v1 them or something and i have no way of replying. Once I was 1v1ing a hacker because Eil asked me to, I said spec me in chat because I couldn't use /r and the hacker turned off this hacks. When I said "maybe don't just hack" it was because the situation he was complaining about was because he was hacking. Also, most people who hack don't have mods in their friends list as they are usually new. A bigger issue is on Kitbrawl how you can see when a mod joins in chat.

 

Staff have pretty big friends lists, being large members of the community. It's not unreasonable that other times people who are hacking have figured that out. It's probably not very common, but if it's a problem that it exists it's a problem that should be solved.
I interpreted this thread to be him pointing out a flaw rather than complaining about a ban, so I wqas confused by what you meant there. All is understood.

/support is a command to be used tho. You can tab complete it so it'll take around 2 more seconds to be typed out.
