    Whenever I shoot an arrow at someone. I hit them (not all the time)

    But whenever I shoot an arrow at someone. Someone (team member) always has to get in the way!

    and then it never shoots :stuck_out_tongue:

    so... can the arrows go through teammates to hit the hideous other villan? :3

    Im saying, when I shoot, someone gets in the way and it breaks the arrow from getting to another player

    Just don't play archer and your teammates won't get in the way of your arrows.

    in real life if you miss you miss, just be glad there's no friendly fire

    Interesting idea, but could have some serious flaws and defects in my opinion.

    For example, you're in a hallway, flagroom, or some tight area. You have a few teammates in front of you, fighting the opposition. In this scenario, you could easily just bowspam in the general direction of your enemies, and the arrows would go right through your teammates to hit the enemies. That would be broken.

    I'm sorry but I think @Trogy might be putting this kindly to soften the blow. Realistically, this is just a bad idea. Why? well -
    1. Arrows don't go through teammates IRL, in fact they actually damage anything they hit, friend or foe
    2. Swords don't go through teammates, why should a ranged weapon do that when a melee weapon can't?

    It's frustrating when someone jumps in front of your arrows, believe me it's happened to me a lot. With that said, this doesn't make sense in any way. I suggest you do what @Admiral_Munson said and just learn to aim better.

    This usually only happens when an archer is shooting from a high traffic area, which said archer should not be doing in the first place. Yeah, it is annoying when it happens for absolutely no reason, but having a teammate accidentally block friendly arrows isn't exactly game breaking stuff.

    1. CTF is not even close to irl actually. A medic heals teammates and replenishes their items by slashing at them with a sword. Archer does like 3 hearts of damage at 29 blocks but suddenly insta-kills them at 30 blocks away. Soldier can walk climb the ground. Necro can resurect the dead. Engineer has a magical cake, turret, and teleporter that are physically impossible irl. These are all examples of inconsistencies between CTF and irl. It's a video game! These fails should be allowed.

    2. The ranged weapon part is annoying and causes a problem. And while you could just get better aim, it's still a problem and causes frustration to players, including the new ones that might just leave.

    However, this isn't an urgent problem. CTF doesn't even have a developer and there are other worries more important then this one. But it's still good that you mentioned this because it shows that this could be a problem.

    Yes, there are of course inconsistencies between video-games and irl. Do I think this one should be allowed to exist? No because there is literally an object in front of an arrow. Logic dictates it will hit it even if it doesn't do damage. I understand where you're coming from, I just still think against the change logically

    It's also annoying to have a sword blocked by a teammate. The problem might be more pronounced with a ranged weapon, but it still occurs in tight spots like flagrooms with multiple different players in one small place at once.

    I agree it's not urgent, but I also think it isn't a problem at all.
