Idea [Class Concept] (Name Needed)

    I understand we're missing a developer. I understand we need to 'fix' the current problems before making new ones. This is an idea I think can develop and be kept in back pockets.

    So thinking about what would be good in a recovery class, one of the better things I could think of was a displacement based kit. You know, moving something somewhere, when you want to, not when they want to, and where you want to. Now before I explain more, let me tell you about the possible set up.

    Helmet: None
    Chest plate: White Leather Armor
    Leggings: White Leather Armor
    Boots: Diamond Boots

    1: Diamond/Iron Sword (Sharp on the iron)
    2: 4 Steak
    3. Bone Meal (Renamed: Push)
    4. Feather (Renamed: Pull)
    5:
    6:
    7:
    8: Nether Star
    9: Compass

    Passive Ability: When shifting and falling, the player will descend slower, moving one block down and one block forward at a time, and not take fall damage while gliding. This is limited with the flag.

    Armor Explanation: The armor is mean to last, long enough for the job to be done if the player is ok, but also easy to kill without much damage being done. White also symbolizes the air in a way, which is what this class is supposed to be like.

    Sword: The sword should be enough to have the class defend itself, but nothing to have it be game breaking.

    Bone Meal: This is the push ability: It will have a 10 second cool down. It will be hard to use in terms of hitboxes, but it is meant to push people back. It will extend 5 blocks in front of it, pushing the first block farther than the last. It will also push the inside farther than the outside. The goal of this is to test peoples aims, but it will be explained later. It will be a 3x5 rectangle, with the farthest pushing being right in front of this players face, and the farther being the far corner. Push back lengths can be decided in the near future with you guy's responses. Also possibility of putting a nerf on the push length if the person is carrying the flag.

    Feather: This is the pull ability. Any players in the same hitbox as push will be pulled towards the character 2 blocks no matter what (can go behind the player). Unlike the first, the cool down will be 5-7 seconds, since the effect is less. The game play will be explained below. *When used on a ninja, it will cancel any pearl the ninja has in the air*

    Nether Star: Class selector

    Compass: Flag tracker

    Defense: Can be decent if played right, push players away from flag or into pyros
    Offense: Can be good if played right, shift the defense away from you , and cap the flag
    Support: Can be great if played right, take pressure off the flag carrier
    Recovery: Can be necessary if played right, push flag carrier off map or into spawn, into your team members, or take the support of the carrier away from the carrier

    It is very difficult to play this class. It is high risk-high reward gameplay. Being able to force people into your chosen location can be used very well, but misclicks can provide a very easy capture for the enemy team.

    Another goal to this rework would to be sort of nerf ninja capping. By cancelling pearls, and bringing the ninja in to close range, you can effectively kill the ninja and stop the ninja cap in seconds.

    The glide mechanism would be to follow soldiers down off of structures, and if they climb back up, you can use the pull ability to get them back into your reach.

    There is also the theory of combos, pulling someone in and then pushing them even farther away.

    There are many ways to play this class, and there are many ways to create new play styles for it as well. Please give feedback, but nothing along the lines of "Its terrible gtfo". Constructive criticism is wanted, because I want to improve on this idea. Also sorry if I completely stole anyone else's idea, I truly came up with this today.

    @Dragoarg7 that class would move things around would would not be able to stand up to the majority of flag carriers. This thing would more being annoying than actually recover. You need a class to stand a chance in pvp for it to work on recovery, and this thing would not realistically be able to do that against the major 2 carriers, soldier and heavy. Ironically the damage output for the iron with sharpness would also be higher than the diamond. The armor you're suggesting, 1 point more protection than leather, with offense equally comparable. Basically, unless you're play in a competitive match situation you couldnt make any use of this class really, and this thing ideally needs to be attractive to people in regular games. I also somewhat agree with Commander in the discord group in that it's a bit of a mess thematically. Upshot: Change ability strength, pvp strength and try and bring it together into an appropriate theme for the class.

    take number 2, with a new bow:

    Note: the bow does no damage
    Note 2: Incase you didnt realize, the xp bar is a delay for both the bow and the push/pull ability

    this is my code, not mcctf code. I made a replica of mcctf to learn java a bit since i study in computer science, and no it didnt take me a lot of free time.
