    Honestly, yes. The change from Punch II to Punch I has improved the enemy's ability to fight back, but it's not completely lopsided in anyone's favor anymore; the Archer just has to hit the arrows more frequently with Punch I (and sometimes that's difficult, sometimes not) than they did with Punch II.
    I realize I am biased, but I play classes other than Archer and still I don't really think Punch I is an issue.

    No. Punch I is not much different than Punch II in effectiveness and still encourages bowspam.

    No reason for archer to have punch. It dominates long range and shouldn't be able to avoid short range by spamming

    Eehh I personally don't have a problem with people bowspamming with punch I. It's not that hard to dodge 9/10 times and it's still easy to kill when you're within range.

    Either way, it's not super essential to the class.

    Gib archer kb1 sword so they would use their sword for more then the occasional assassin block

    I say remove it. There have been times where an archer was able to hold me back while I've had the flag solely from punch 1. Notable maps where this happens are Airlock Original (ik it's not in rotation but it's a competitive map) and Blackout. Like Evan said, Archer dominates long range and should only dominate long range.

    Archer does dominate long range, saying it dominates both long and short range is a bit of an overexaggeration; it's definetly stronger than it should be at close range, but removing punch I should fix that.

    I can partially agree with you here, but I have to say, punch I really doesn't need to be there. Case in point, yesterday, I was able to lock @Armiral_Mugman in a corner with the lowest power shots, and drain his health away (I'm assuming that's why this thread was made shortly after it happened). It's not so lopsided anymore, true, but it still makes archer too much of a nuisance short range, in my opinion. Not so abusable now, it just takes more accuracy and ingenuity to be abused, abused being relative.

    Please remove the punch, trying to get past bowspammers like @ACE_BLUE2 is way more difficult than it should be.

    Does it really matter? I mean, the knock back is still pretty bad having played recently. I don't find bow spam to be a big problem and the knock back is just going to be annoying no matter what. Not that it should be removed RN as the instakill is the biggest problem. Like it's a few blocks. Doesn't seem that important to me. Am I missing something?

    Archer's only weakness is melee. When it's impossible to actually get close enough to an archer to use your sword, there's an issue.

    Remove, I guess. I mean, I quite like it, but if it would help gameplay, remove it.
    Instakill is not a so-called 'problem'. It's the whole point of archer, getting instakills on distance.
