Away To Do List. Potential Away? not sure what's happening

Aight. Tl;dr I'm being rewarded for my recent job promotion with hostility at home and I can't stay in my house anymore without losing my sanity. I've already packed up most of my belongings and will find a temporary place to stay in the next day or two.

I have a lot of stuff to do here on Brawl so I'm trying to compile a to-do list so I don't forget people. Things are really stressful right now and they shouldn't be, nothing is going as planned and I'm not completely sure where I'll be living yet. This server is a mental escape for me from irl stuff, so I'll be around when I can.

@BrawlIsATown I still need to go through your maps and make a detailed breakdown of the issues. I promise I haven't forgotten, just haven't gotten to it yet.

@puhdgy I've started removing laggy elements from red side of Opposites Collide VII. I saved a backup copy of the map before editing.
- Removed 300 buttons, a handful of player heads
- Have been replacing some aesthetic stairs/fences with solid blocks
- Updated all of your lighting so far, but will need more //removelighting //fixlighting if lava is edited
It might be wise to replace decorative running water with something that isn't moving. Also might be good to replace lava light sources with something else, but I'm more concerned about multi-faced blocks. Also, anywhere that the terraforming or ceilings cause players to get snagged will need to be adjusted; i started adjusting the side flagroom exits but forgot to get both sides of red flagroom.

@Insomniac__ needs a map commit when he's finished moving stuff around. Might be good to directly contact a moderator for that. also make sure that after you //removelighting //fixlighting

@bluely I'd like to help with your map still, i haven't had a chance to look at/touch the underground area. I'd also like to clean up navigability some more. I highly recommend just pretend you're playing ctf and running back and forth across the map. Anything that you get caught on or seems annoying when running around will be ten times as annoying when the actual game is happening. so I'd do /mode s on it a bit. make sure paths are at least 3 wide/doorways don't snag players.

@Ducksfan101 I'd like to help with your map, but i also don't want to mess up the idea that you have going for it. it may take finding specific regulars when they're online and asking them to come onto the map for better feedback.

@Shawn_ with chernobyl I've noticed headshottable spots within the flag room building itself. also considering getting rid of all of the aesthetic stuff on top of the building itself just to help with frame issues. if i get rid of it and it doesn't change anything we can always put it back, if that's ok.

- go through ctf map submissions and give players detailed feedback on map posts.
- Started redoing the CTF Map List, need to make post complete with images.
- Need to test untested list maps and correct missing authors ^
- media request for b0s needs to be completed
- flagroom on Martian Outpost is adjusted on blue side, needs to be flipped and recommitted
- need to add some restricts on woodcastle arena
- find a way to make aqua V spawn not headshottable
- need to complete several small things on build team server
- need to update build server guide
- check with individual map builders of new rotation maps to see if they want any changes committed
- go through build stuff and see if there are any fixes or updates to try to push through.

AYY i've got an apartment, but the deposit+rent put a dent into my budget and it might be a week before i can get internet there.

so hyped about the new place though. no roommates <3

Update 2.0:
- moved all of my furniture and belongings into my apartment
- I'm calling an internet provider tomorrow
- also gonna set up a webcam security system so I can record anyone who breaks into my apartment and tries to steal my crap.

YAY I FINALLY CAN AFFORD MY OWN PLACE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER NO ROOMMATES OMG SO HAPPY IT TOOK LIKE 6 YEARS TO GET TO THIS POINT OML

 

I originally left my house when I was 18 and starting university because I couldn't handle living with my family... Moved back in when I hit my mid twenties because full time school with 30+ hours of work a week wasn't a recipe for success, and it's nearly impossible to live on part time job income. Unfortunately, living with family again felt like prison (insert Minecraft escapisms)...

I feel like I'm kind of a late bloomer with life because I really had no idea what I wanted to do and it took me a long time and a lot of emotional breakdowns to even get to this point. But if you're ever wanting advice on dealing with difficult situations send me a line, I might be able to help (or I can tell you what horrible mistakes I've made so you don't have to make them; my life is trial and error with a lot of error).
