hoetaco - Inappropriate name?

    So a while ago I heard my friend and MC-War player "hoetaco" was forced to change his IGN because it was "inappropriate", and I find it ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. The name hoetaco has nothing inappropiate in it; it's just a silly name like any other, for example @slinkypineapples. Hoe is a farming tool and taco is a food item.

    The only reason I can think of it being deleted is due to using hoe as a slang term meaning "wh*re", which is absolutely ridiculous. No one, and I mean no one, uses hoe like that as an insult or in any means of hurting someone's feelings in Minecraft. Even in real life nearly no one uses it as an serious insult, apart from some individuals who live in an totally different community than Minecraft's. I use hoe frequently every day as a joke (and a filler word) and I have never got a complaint from anyone... staff or players.

    What's your opinion?

    EDIT: Apparently he was never warned for an inappropriate name, but he told me he had to change or he would be banned or something. His current IGN is Lqtino.

    No idea who told him that, but he have for a long time said that he would have to change his name for being inappropriate on another server.

    @Lekosa1 did he say that it was a a Brawl staff memeber that forced him to change it?

    I'm afraid you must not have spent much time on minecraft, or any form of internet chatting system... I must assume by "no one" you mean the hundreds of people I know on brawl alone who consistently use it as an insult to me and people I know.

    Although I gotta admit :V Hoetaco is a pretty dank name :wink: I also don't think that the staff team ever punished him for that name... afaik he's had it for quite a few months...
