[Official] Insurgence vs The Blue Flaggers
Prematch Interview with @Spades_ by @hamzacx
Hamza- Hello spades. Thank you for letting me interview you
Firstly, when this match was mentioned about to the rest of tbf, what were their thoughts? What were your personal thoughts?

Spades- Well this match had been a long time coming, and was planned at least a month or two ago. However, we couldn't agree on a time. So now that it finally happened, everyone was just ready to go.

Hamza- That makes sense. Are there any certain strategy or types of plays that you are not confident about against IN? Is there any area where you personally feel that you have an advantage over them?

Spades- As of late our offense has had trouble coordinating, especially without snowbreak. And against a tough defense, like insurgence, we'll have to be on our A game. However, our defense is usually pretty solid. With both codebastian and ace_blue2 (hopefully) playing, I think we'll have an edge in that regard.

Hamza- Alright, but let's go back to when the match was being scheduled. Previously there have been signs of some 'beef' between TBF and IN. Has this interfered with the process of making this match?

Spades- Uhhhh, I want to say no, but unfortunately yeah 'beef' did play some part in scheduling issues. But our focus at the time was getting ready for defiance and then delta force. So we had to put insurgence off until we had time. If there was not beef, we might've had a match sooner, but who knows.

Hamza- Alright. Are there any tbf players today you expect to carry/stand out? And in what ways specifically?

Spades- I have high hopes for ace, assuming he plays, but if he doesn't I'm hoping Nlog can step up and really help carry defense. A good assassin is a nightmare for an offense.

Hamza- Yes and we have seen both of them do well before. You mentioned that offense will need to be on their A game, but what specifically will they need to step up about?

Spades- We have what we refer to as "The silent offense". That meaning no one on offense uses a mic. So, if they can talk, I think we have a better chance of succeeding.

Hamza- Oh that is a pity. I know snowbreak is able to talk so if he does it will only be good for you guys, same for the other offense if they are able to talk. Finally, how have you guys prepared for this match. Have you had any serious pracs?

Spades- We haven't practiced as a team in maybe 2-3 weeks. With the regional tourney taking up time slots, ppms, other matches and practices, and our own schedules out side of brawl, I think we just couldn't prepare for this as much as we would've liked to.

Hamza- Oh that is bad, but you all have most likely played regular ctf or ppms together. Do you think this helped tbf overall?

Spades- We're not to terribly rusty, but we're gonna have to get used to coordinating together fairly quickly. Overall I think we'll do ok, but I'm just looking to not argue during the match.

Hamza- Alright. Good luck in the match! Lastly, what are your personal predictions?

Spades- I think it will be competitive, or at least I hope. I predict a TBF win, we're overdue for a win.

Hamza- Nice  Good luck, and thanks for letting me interview you

    Spades- Thank you hamza!

Prematch Interview with @sportyman56 by @Versions
Versions- So starting off, how do you think Insurgence will do against The Blue Flaggers on their map (assuming it would be Moria as their map choice)?

sportyman56- We are fairly confident as we have one of the best archers if not the best archer around at the moment in Brandino, due to the fact Moria is open we would definitely be able to use this to our advantage.

Versions- That is true; archer is quite dominant on Moria. Are you personally worried about any specific players on TBF?

sportyman56- Well I mean invidus for fairly obvious reasons, would have mentioned aceblue but he's not on the team anymore. Maybe Spades because he's got low ping but I don't think we are too worried about anyone in particular.

Versions- Does Insurgence have a specific map pick they prefer?

sportyman56- I’m not really sure on this one, we haven't really discussed things yet.

Versions- Have you personally faced TBF in an official before? If so, what team were you on at the time?

sportyman56- I've faced them a few times. Beat them with TPala 2.0, can't really remember any others though.

Versions- Final question. Is Insurgence confident about a victory over TBF?

    sportyman56- Fairly confident, yes.

Versions- Awesome! Thanks for your time.

    sportyman56- You are not welcome.
Today we have an exciting matchup, The Blue Flaggers vs Insurgence. Both teams have proven to be very strong, but only one can come out on top.

The first map is Metro, IN’s pick. The map is very enclosed, which should work well for IN’s PvP ability. Both teams starting off strong with very nice defenses. A while in, Participated gets a potential steal and runs through the left train. He has good support from sportyman56. TBF gets a nice recovery from Spades initiating a well timed frenzy from beneath. Meanwhile in IN’s flagroom, BrandinoB is doing a good job playing mage, with well timed lightning spells to knock people around. Dragoarg (AddictedToShindig) gets a nice steal, but IN gets in front of him and recovers while also managing to deal with a backup steal from Kashyyyk. More good steals happen, Kashyyyk as chemist and Participated as heavy, but they are shut down eventually (notably by Invidus and _Alcea, who are playing well on ninja defense). Kashyyyk gets out again as chemist, this time with nobody on him. Dan (_Alcea) attempts to recover, but is slain by Invidus as ninja (he's roaming up just for the occasion). Kashyyyk gets very far and into contact with support, and Invidus manages to kill Dan once more, securing the first cap of the game for TBF. Drago gets a nice steal as medic, getting very far away from IN defense. Some amazing webs come out from him to slow down recovery threats such as BrandinoB and Participated. Alas, Dan is able to assassinate him right before what could've been the second cap for TBF. A series of good steals come out from IN, one of them notably a soldier steal. TBF manages to stay coordinated though and recovers on them all before reaching mid. Kashyyyk gets out again as chemist, on the other hand, and Lord_Byzantine is not around to stop him. Despite pressure from BrandinoB and Dan, he manages the capture. With 48 seconds left, the map will end in a 2-0 victory for TBF.

The next map is TBF’s pick, Divergent Strike. This sort of wild card pick could be regarded as a more open version of Opposites Collide, with the flagroom being much better to get out of. We start the map with TBF getting a nice steal on the very first offensive wave. Kashyyyk gets out on the bottom as chemist and uses a staircase to get up top again. A bit of commotion occurs between both teams on top, but Kashyyyk is able to survive and get the first cap of the map. More steals happen later, but nothing too special. Kashyyyk is able to steal again as chemist, however, and go top. He is far ahead until he hits the water, where Dan is able to finish him off right before Drago gets to him as medic. A few more steals happen, and one of these steals is Participated as soldier. He manages to get out on top with supporting ninja Dan. He manages to run it across the side mountain and get the capture. Not long after, Drago steals as medic and lags a bit, which actually ends up benefiting him, allowing him to go underground with little to nothing on him. He gets the capture, making the score 2-1. TBF quickly makes their way back to IN flagroom, and Satelliite is able to get under. He has decent support and not much on him. IN tries to steal, but TBF defense holds strong. Sat gets the third cap for TBF on map 2, ending the game with a 2-0 victory for TBF.

Final Scores: 2-0 TBF (Metro), 3-1 TBF (Divergent Strike)
    Overall:TBF Win! PotG @Kashyyyk

    [Official] The Crusaders vs Annihilation
    Written by @Dragoarg7

The match is about to begin and TC is looking stronger in this one. They have acquired some very good players that makes their defense stronger, to pair with their offense, which is already pretty strong. Anni will put up a fight though, with aefrogdog and his usual mage pick, and some recent additions like Reegs and Siwoo.

The first map is blackout. There are ninja caps, with ghosting allowed. Right off the bat, miskey for Anni and doorpost for TC go for a ninja cap. Miskey dies before getting to the flag, but doorpost manages to get out of the flag room and pass to ArcticGalaxy. A good lighting from aefrogdog almost gets Arctic into spawn, but TC keeps the flag and gets a very early capture. Within a minute, TC’s soldier duo of Arctic and Swit steal, and get to top mid, before both of them are shot down by Idunn. Anni get some steals, but seem to have trouble with ghenry’s pyro, and key’s archer. Swit gets another steal, but aefrogdog’s freeze spells are doing work, and stop the steal. Anni has solved the problem of pyro by getting miskey to clear him out, but the assassin, doorpost, is giving Anni a hard time. Besides the first ninja cap by TC, both defenses seem to be doing a great job. Arctic and Swit get more steals off, but aefrogdog brought his A game, and freezes them before they can get anywhere. After a minute, both sides get a steal and get to the other side of the map, forcing a stalemate. Anni ignores kevshadowslayer shooting at them, and he pulls of a headshot. Lucky for Anni, ninjas can hold the flag, so they get a quick pass off for a resent. Kev pulls off another headshot, and a solo medic is holding the flag. Because the medic can’t get healed, a ninja is able to Rankie, the medic, and end the stalemate. TC leads the map 2-0. Squan gets out, but goes down. Miskey steals the flag as ninja, gets almost out but is ticked down by the last shot of fire before he pearls to safety. At the same time Arctic steals again. TC caps and leads the map 3-0. At 14 minutes, swit steals, and gets hs, but arctic picks it up and marches it in for another cap, giving them a 4-0 lead. A couple minutes pass and Arctic gets a promising steal as Idunn dies. Arctic caps and puts the nail in the coffin, 5-0.

The map is now Airlock 1, a map reworked by Anni, so they should have a slight advantage on it. Swit steals as soldier early and buys time, but dies to damage and mage freezes. Ash steals as chemist but is damaged down. All the while Squantoias steals as heavy, and gets all the way across the map. doorpost steals as ninja, and passes to xAshes. Ash passes to swit, and its a heavy versus soldier stalemate. Ghenry pulls a 200IQ move, frenzies Squan through glass, but realizes that you can’t hit people through glass. Veteran move but anni saw through it. TC’s headshot machine kev comes through and kills squan, but miskey picks up. Squan gets the flag back, and the stalemate is on. Suddenly, Anni recovs, but there is *no footage of it*, although Siwoo did the recov, so lets assume pyro frenzy. Anni gets their first cap and lead of the day. Across the map, xAshes gets a steal, and goes a little bit, before dying to damage. It leaves a window for doorpost, chemist now, to steal and get to TC’s spawn. TC almost gets it, but Squan steals as heavy. He makes a solid run, but dies to fall damage. While that was going on, doorpost dies, but xAshes steals again. Ash dies as Squan dies, leaving no one with the flag. Following, Rankie and doorpost steal, Rankie as heavy and doorpost as chemist. Doorpost gets to spawn before an ignored Siwoo pulls of another recovery. And Anni goes up 2-0. Swit steals right after, getting far. She makes it to spawn as Miskey gets a medic steal, getting far as well. He passes to squans heavy. After a few minutes of stalemate, Squan dies to as assassin as he fights a ninja. Swit caps, and the rest of the map goes silent, 2-1 Anni.

The final map is Large Hall, a map that can swing either way. Both teams fire back and forth with steals. Swit gets a steal that takes TC far, but Squan gets out as well. Siwoo gets it again as pyro as the stalemate just begins. And Anni goes up 1-0. Aefrogdog gets a high mage steal, but is defenseless against the assassin who was the only person able to recover. Forums, a player who has been consistent on all the teams he has been on, stops Anni’s offense dead. Arctic gets a steal with a medic, and manages to get past all of the recovery from Anni somehow. TC ties it 1-1. Arctic gets another steal, has as little recov as support, and TC goes up 2-1. After that Squan and Swit both steal, heavy and soldier again. Squan lives, but Swit is about to cap. Another stalemate is born. Squan goes down, without footage again, but ghenry got it, so probably pyro recov. Siwoo kills Swit, but dies before recov, and the match goes 5-0, 1-2, 3-1 for TC.

Final Scores: 5-0 TC (Blackout), 2-1 Anni (Airlock Rework), 3-1 TC (Large Hall)
    Overall: TC Win! PotG @Forums

We decided to put next week's matches (the weekend after TBF vs. Insurgence) in the same issue. Therefore, we didn't release an article the week before and did it this week instead.
