    Hey there,

    as I've recently started playing CTF again, I thought it might be a good idea to update my old CTF resourcepack.

    This pack is based on Optifine's CIT (custom item textures) feature, thus I highly recommend using Optifine to get the full potential out of this pack!
    CIT allows resourcepack makers to assign multiple textures to what is actually the same item. My pack uses this to give every class an unique sword, even though some of them share the same base item.
    Renamed items might break the CIT feature though!

    Most of the textures are based on the faithful resourcepack, hence I recommend using it as the base pack, but every other pack should work just fine!


    Feel free to modify the pack to your liking!

    - Install Optifine
    - Download the pack from Mediafire
    - Put the pack into your resourcepack folder
    - Since this is an overlay pack, you should put it above your regular resourcepack(s), as shown in the example below

    @SoCool21 thats what I meant by CIT.


    If its based on item name, that might be an issue.

    it's based on enchating IDs, enchanting levels and sometimes names!

    Hi there,
    with the implementation of unique armor names for each class, I thought it might be worth a try to create some unique class armors.

    Feedback is appreciated and I would love to hear some suggestions about what the other classes should look like, as I honestly have no idea (apart from Dwarf) what do do with them!

    - visually reverted the chestplate back to leather, giving pyro a more traditional look
    - based on a medieval fire breather with burned clothes

    - based on a Templars knight

    -based on "Rambo", I'm not too sure about the 3d model

    These textures are WIP and I actually don't know how I feel about them yet, but I plan on updating the pack in the future and I want to focus on making the pack more pvp-friendly (reducing sword sizes etc.), so stay tuned!

    I hope this doesn't count as necro-bumping...

    Will I be receiving a new texture for the replaced engineer ability?
    I really like this pack and it's unfortunate that my AoE healing looks like a placeable block xD

    Unrelated: Do you think you might add sounds to this? I'm thinking: different mage spell sound (replacing fireworks), a different thunder sound with more of a "crack," different potion sounds for chemist/mage, as well as different explosion sounds for ninja/pyro/engineer. I currently have no idea how to do any of this, or if the latter two suggestions are possible at all, but with a little research, I might be able to help if you're interested.

    Hi, I just uploaded a WIP version of this pack which contains a new texture for the Healing Aura as well as all of the new class texture changes and some 3D models that I was messing around with.

    - there will be unique textures for the speed pad as well as for the "recall all structures" book

    - all of the mage staffs will get 3D models, so far I have only re-created the Freeze Spell (don't mind the arrow)

    As for the sounds: I might be wrong, so correct me please, but I think it's not possible to have class-unique explosion sounds as all of them share the same original soundfile
    It's also similar with Mage's Lightning Spell which shares the same original soundfile as the sound you hear when a flag gets stolen/captured
    There also seems to be no way to have different sounds for each potion unfortunately


    I might look into changing the sounds of the Damage Spell, the Flame Spell and the Freeze Spell though, thanks for the suggestion!

    I've already touched on some of this :stuck_out_tongue:, the sound file for some of the things, Damage Spell is launch.ogg for the firing sound, and one of the small firework is blast.ogg and blast_far.ogg. The Freeze spell is the same as the throw sound (so the same as ninja eggs/ender pearl, etc)
    Pyro uses the wither death sound for its frenzy I believe.
    Engi uses explosion sounds and the break.ogg for its speed pad recall/break
