New Format (Coming Soon)
The Brawl News will now be posted quarterly instead of monthly, meaning the News months will be January, April (Fools), July, and October. Yes, this one is two months late. The quarterly news will be in a new format (just an soon as SoCool returns and shows us what that is). This means more information, more competitions, more prizes. We have quite a docket, so let’s get started.

January 2019

Map 4 is coming to a close, and we have a new update and a new map ready for you. This update brings back a lot of old features and some new ones, as the community has requested. Map 5 will start on 7PM UTC. Read more here: https://www.brawl.com/threads/74226/​

February 2019

New Party System
We have added a way to create in-game parties! Parties allow you to create a group of people who you can talk to at the same time. When the party leader goes to a new gamemode, everyone in the party will follow. This makes it very convenient for you to play together with your friends. New Cosmetics + Updated Tags
We've added new cosmetics to the shop, including 16 new tags and over 120 sprays for you to enjoy. Sprays are a new type of cosmetic that allows you to place an item frame showing a picture - this could be food, an emoji, or even your own skin!

New Cosmetics - style to CTF and War flag banners
Thanks to our diligent developer, @redslime, we bring you new designs that you can purchase, in place of the plain colored design when carrying the flag. VIPs, MVPs, and ELITEs get free access to one banner each (VIP = 1, MVP = 2, ELITE = 3). Some of the banners can be simply unlocked in-game using tokens, others can be bought at our store. Targeting Protocol
A new protocol has been put in place that punishes people who target others, and has been effective since Sunday, March 24th 2019. As targeting ruins gameplay, hopefully this will encourage a less toxic environment. Punishment varies from gamemode to gamemode. April Fools 2019

Removal of Wild West Breaks Second Amendment, Supreme Court Rules
Recently, as I'm sure you're all aware, there has been a lot of controversy about Wild West. Some people are sad to see the gamemode go, but the majority of complaints are about the fact that we have taken away people's guns by removing the gamemode. The issue has recently been escalated and the supreme court has ruled that removing Wild West does indeed infringe upon your gun rights. At long last, we have finally updated our backend and have been able to add a 1.13 server to build. You can now use all the new 1.13 blocks and features in your builds. While you can't use this server to make gamemode maps, you can still make some awesome builds with new blocks. If you're an avid builder, make sure you check it out! CTF Spotlight Saturdays
We're very appreciative of our map creators, as without them, we wouldn't be able to have regular map waves as awesome as they always are. War - Huge Gun and Map Update
The War staff team have been spending the last couple of months rebalancing all the guns for you. The update is now ready and released - almost every gun has been changed to improve balance. As well as gun changes, we've also added 3 new maps!

Say hello to Map 6 on Raid as we will be resetting the world shortly after the End of the Map event on Saturday, 10th of August, at 3pm EST. This means that all bases, items, warps, teams and gold will be gone with the reset. With this reset, there will be a few changes based on discussions and feedback we have received from both players and staff members. Some of these changes include the return of the dragon spawn and restyled KOTH platforms that do not contain any water. Kitbrawl Updates
New FFA Map
We figured that the KitBrawl needed some refreshment by adding a new map as its FFA arena!

KitBrawl Update | Soup Changes
We implemented two small changes into KitBrawl, which were the addition of soup signs scattered around the map and all kits now have a full inventory of soup, rather than just one hotbar. This will make it more possible for players to kill other players that have a higher streak. The soup signs will place one soup in your inventory if clicked. If you encounter any issues or bugs related to these changes, report them to us via our Discord Community Server. KitBrawl QOL Change | /play KitBrawl
Finally! Since forever, we had to type out /play kitpvp to join KitBrawl, even though our gamemode is called KitBrawl. However, we have changed this to allow players to join using the command /play KitBrawl. I was wondering why we had to type out KitPvP all this time...

WarZ Top 10 Clips
This past October we started a hopefully reoccurring clips event. If you have a kill clip on WarZ, submit it here. Server Tags
For the first time ever, we are releasing server-specific cosmetic tags! With these new gamemode-themed tags, you can have different tags for different gamemodes. As well as this, we have added 14 tags as rewards for completing all achievements for a specific CTF class - flexing on everyone else has never been easier! Ghost Client Protocol Changes
1. Ghost clients are now permanent bans.
2. SMODs (specifically, the ban managers) will be making the final decision on ghost client bans. Mods will always be consulted before bans are made.
3. We are now banning for admission of ghost client hacking (on all platforms, on and off Brawl).

Ghost clients are officially defined as the following:
- Aim Assist (equivalent to Smooth Aim Assist)
- Autoclicker
- Reach
- Velocity (equivalent to KB Modifiers (reduced knockback, NOT NO/ANTI-KB))
- Triggerbot
- Player Xray
- Tracers

4,000,000 Unique Players
During February 2019, Brawl has hit a huge milestone - we passed 4,000,000 unique players to have logged on to the server. It's insane to think how far Brawl has come over the years and this wouldn't be possible without you guys - thank you for the ongoing support.

Featured Brawler
This edition's Featured Brawler is at the top of the all-time CTF flag captures leader-board with 7,476 flag captures! That's right, it's @Ducksfan101, with over 7,000 captures and 94,000 kills, most of which are spread between four classes, Medic, Ninja, Heavy, and Archer! He has contributed over twenty significant game-mode improvements and currently has five maps in the current rotation! This duck defiantly deserves the medal!

Group Advertisement
