Just a quick question, the heart of gold debuffs enemies, and then after the buffs return heals for a portion of damage that the buffed enemies deal.

So lets say a dwarf uses it on a medic (who has a buff of water absorption). Would heart of gold take the water absorption away and then count the medic damage? Or does it only apply to the chemist buffs?

    It applies to all buffs.

@Dankmastr_Memesn Just wondering if you saw my second post. It kinda got buried in all the other messages.

    I saw it.

Not true. The ability was added as an effective way of dealing with buffed teams since, currently, there isn't one. Since (a lot of) fights with buffed teams tend to take place in the flagroom or other enclosed areas it's very likely that the Dwarf is going to take a lot of damage in a short period of time. With that in mind a 2.5 second post-debuff damage window is reasonable since its enough time for the Dwarf to stay in the midst of things and take a lot of damage, whilst also being able to deliver a (decent) sized heal to its nearby team-mates.

obi was right that Heart of Gold is useless when there aren't any buffed teams/players around, but since the effects apply to all buffs (including Medics and Mages) there would still be plenty of opportunities to use the ability.

A permanent debuff would render buffs (largely) useless which is not one of the things I wanted to do with this rework. What's the point of having buffs if a Dwarf can just come by and take them away? A temporary debuff is more fair and useful in it's own right.

I don't see the point of this (yes I did read what you wrote). Heart of gold (it's been renamed Golden heart) debuffs enemies and gives allies a small heal. That works very well with the tankiness/damage absorption Dwarf gains from Dwarven Steel (if the Dwarf were to use that ability directly after using Heart of gold). One ability debuffs enemies and gives a small heal while the other tanks damage after the debuff is over. It's an effective and fair way of dealing with buffed teams in and outside the flagroom. I don't see why that should be changed.

That would defeat the purpose of Dwarven Steel. The ability doesn't work unless Dwarf can absorb a lot of damage (which is why the absorption is there).

You already have to do that.

    1) Crushing blow - can be used in offense, defense, recovery, or escaping because of soft cc + 1.5 hearts true damage. Also synchronizes nicely with Dwarven Fury (slow + damage from enchanted diamond axe = kills).
    2) Dwarven steel - offensive or defensive ability. Absorbs a lot of damage (40%) and can be used in team-fights. Bad idea to use when low on hearts.
    3) Heart of gold - defensive ability, best used in team-fights and defending against invades.
    4) Dwarven fury - can be used in offense, defense, capturing, recovery, or escaping because of cc + 1 steak of damage. Can also be used to knock enemies off of tall structures/cliffs.

I think one of the neat things about this reworked Dwarf is that it works on offensive or defensive support (as you've said). With that in mind, I think its fine to consider it a mid ranged support regardless of what people were to (hypothetically) use it for.

I really like the idea. I just have a couple of questions for clarification.

Is the diamond axe Dwarf's primary weapon? And when you right click it gets sharpness one for 3.5 seconds?
Does the Dwarf still have slowness?
Will the Dwarf need to be crouched?

That means a lot coming from you Adam senpai.

Correct. The axe is enchanted with Sharpness I during Dwarven Fury.

    No.

Let's say a Chemist comes in with strength and regeneration. The Dwarf uses Heart of Gold and takes away the Chemist's buffs. Would the Chemist be able to give itself strength inside that 9 block radius, or would those get taken away too? What would happen if a buffed Heavy came in 2 seconds later? Would it lose its buffs? Would it have any effect on Assassin's speed boosts or Medic's water breathing?

Would the 2.5 seconds stack on the 4.5 seconds (i.e. the time being 7 seconds in total)?

Sorry for all the questions, just wanting to fully understand it all.

All buffs are removed when Heart of Gold (renamed Golden Heart because 'Heart of Gold' sounds stupid) is activated, any consecutive buffs are not affected.
    No.
    It's all good.
