There's been a huge misunderstanding here. You're harsh sometimes and people (mostly myself) overreact to things. Everything here should be taken with a grain of salt because a lot of this conversation is discussed with strong feelings.

About the controversy about @GreenPeas getting SMod, and not @Sn4x5 or @_featherpaw_: I've spoken to someone in private about it before because people seem to be forgetting why people get promoted. I'm really happy @GreenPeas is an SMod, because he used to be in the higher staff team and, from what I heard, was an amazing admin. He'll fulfil the role very well, albeit he doesn't deserve the role as much as Sn4x5 or Feather.

I have no doubt in my mind Peas will be a brilliant SMod; he was before, why can't he do it again? He knows how the system works, he was around when Brawl was popular and has excellent knowledge on Brawl's past, and hopefully what made it successful back then. Sure, maybe he doesn't deserve it as much as Sn4x5 or Feather, and maybe he is a "prick" (although, I haven't seen that to be the case), but he'll definitely to a great job in the higher-up staff team.

That being said, I don't know why he was promoted straight away to WarZ SMod, and Party SMod, and assistant staff manager. Personally, I think that's a lot of roles to do, especially considering there are people who could've done some of those roles instead. I'm only against the decision of giving him so much responsibility when there are others who could've done it instead. However, there is clearly an issue in the staff system (most people in the staff team will know what I'm talking about). I'm thinking Peas getting promoted to SMod, and hopefully admin eventually, will help sort this out. Give him a chance, he was amazing in the staff team before; I'm sure he'll do amazing again. That doesn't mean Sn4x5 and Feather didn't deserve the roles more, though.

This is the only major bits I disagree with in all this, though. A lot of the points in the original post are incredibly understandable (and in my case, agreeable). Brawl really can't afford to ignore all of this.

And one last thing. One of the things which really annoyed me while I was on the staff team was when @0racle told @Mario that there was a bug in raid, and Mario's response was "f*ck raid". I'm not sure if that bug was ever fixed or if Mario was joking or anything, but its hardly the best communication between server managers and developers.

I'm trying to avoid commenting on this whole situation because I personally think it's got a bit silly now but I will say this just to clarify a few things you mentioned early on in your comment.

I was asked to do this job and therefore I am going to carry out this job and the associated roles to the best of my ability until I am asked to turn my attention elsewhere, in which case I will dedicate my time to that job whatever it may be. I think it is important to remember that many of the SMOD / Higher-Up roles are interchangeable in certain circumstances such as promotions. I can tell you as a fact that all Moderators & JMODs are actively monitored by Canoodle and people's work for Brawl is noted. For example, if Canoodle was to turn around and say "Right, I think Sn4x5 is now ready for SMOD" it would simply be a case of him taking the Role of WarZ Server Manager and me moving into another role. This is just an example obviously but I am just using it so show that although these may be my roles currently, they are by no means permanent roles.

Well, my time has come. After months of arguments, stress, and disrespect, I’ve finally come to a decision that I’ve been debating for quite a while now. Being a player was a blast, but unfortunately I have come to realize that those days of enjoying brawl are just a memory now. There are many things that have spurred my resignation, so let me get into that:

Raid Manager:

When I got this promotion originally (should have gotten it way before but whatever), I absolutely loved it. Raid / Survival PvP was my pride and joy - my home and baby. It was so fun wasting my life on this gamemode, and finally having control over this server and being able to make an impact on the community was the best gift anyone could give me. It was great for the first while, but the fun quickly ran out due to several reasons. The main issues here weren’t the stress of planning, deadlines or coming up with new ideas to revive the server - all of these things I loved, but it was the server manager system itself that made my time unenjoyable. Whenever I had ideas for events / updates, 80% of the time I had to ask several times to get an answer. Yes you admins and coders are busy, but how long does it take for you to approve an idea? A simple yes or no would do me fine. Instead I would often get ignored (not by all may I add, but most), or get some snappy answer for who knows what reason. If you guys are too busy, then why not get more admins? Would that not make things easier for everyone? Anyways, we staff are volunteers that give up our time for you guys to get paid, so the least you can do is show us a little more respect, thanks. Without us, you wouldn't be getting paid to sit in your pajamas all day playing cs go run a Minecraft server. Anyways enough of my ranting. To sum all of this up, I have felt a very large amount of disrespect and unappreciation from the higher ups and I simply cannot take it anymore. We, the server managers represent the community, and should have the most important say on what changes / updates need to be done. If we were given more power and responsibilities within our server, Brawl could be way more efficient and get more community based things done (events, etc.).

Here are some notes I took a while back while writing a previous resignation about my frustrations with the Raid Update:

For months now, I have voluntarily given up hours upon hours of my time to plan a raid update that would hopefully revive the dead server. I looked over all of the raid forum for ideas, complaints, and talked one on one with the community so that everyone's voice could be represented. After finally completing the suggested update, many ideas were shut down, called stupid, etc. Did you guys [admins] understand that you don't know the server like I do? Or the community for that matter? However, this wasn't the only response. According to putty, we cannot afford to do all of the raid update because we need to use our money wisely. Yeah sure ok. I then spent another few days trying to plan a solution to this. My result was to start a #MakeRaidGreatAgain campaign where we could ask the community for donations and post the document to get their feedback and create hope for the server. After this idea being approved, I made the thread and did everything on my part to make this happen. Of course when I was finished, putty changes his mind and scraps this idea because it's “embarrassing”. Ok nice! What about having a dead server with no more than 15 players on at a time? Is that not embarrassing? And a waste of money? So in short, a lot of this update was cut down because we apparently didn't have the funds - which contradicted to Putty's response to my ideas for a new purchase system suggested earlier that would bypass the EULA, having that we are financially stable and my idea not being ‘creative’. Fantastic.

So after all this happened and the update was finished being coded, the new version apparently was “accidentally released”. This means that all new features were live on the server and players could see all of this before it was suppose to be released, ruining the hype and surprise of the new release - an important feature in my plan to revive raid. After this was discovered, the staff team basically exploded. I freaked out at Mario because he did not communicate whatsoever with me during the development stages of the update. One would think that this would be important for a dev to do with their partnering server manager. I had no idea of the progress or final features that were being added. I was ignored when I asked for a test server for the new version and it took quite some time to get a list of what changes were being added to raid so I could make the release thread. Great system right? And before someone says “well you could have said this earlier before you just resign”, I did bring this up actually - months ago during the one and only smod meeting ( and many, many times later ). Apparently it takes an argument to get stuff done around here. I unfortunately have run out of patience to wait around for this to be “fixed”. But yeah, ranting again.

Current note: I did plan my resignation last week, and talked to Cuddled, who worked out some sort of compromise for me to stay. The compromise did solve *some* of the issues I had, but even still, this alone is not enough for me to stay, and I’m not sure you guys can solve this, as stated before during discussions about complaints I’ve made. It was also semi frustrating to have these promises made to me that weren’t kept. I was promised certain things by a date, that of which was not given. It’s not fully that I am growing impatient, but more so the fact that if the server really valued me, and didn’t want me to leave, then fulfill this promise to show how serious you are about listening to me and wanting me to stay. I don’t think it would have taken that long to implement what I asked for either. All I wanted was some already existing commands for events and random things to make Brawl more fun. If something is being held back, why not just tell me that instead? :n Yes it may not seem important to you guys reading this, but it was to me as it symbolized the worth of the staff here.

Promotion Drama:

It makes me sad to leave Brawl now. Deep down, I still do love the server and want to do my best to improve things, but I feel hindered by all of the negative things above. I dreamed of having admin, and that would make my intentions so much easier. I really wanted to bring the community and staff team closer by having more events and more spontaneous experiments with random minigames and whatnot. I must say, Peas promotion to Smod after 3 weeks really stirred me up inside. It was almost frustrating to see someone basically instantly promoted to Smod after the rest of us have been working months, if not years to hopefully get a promotion like that (hence part of feather’s resignation). Yes he was a former admin, but after leaving for 2 years or whatever it was, why should he take this position over the others? Feather’s dedication for party was outstanding, and that is something in my opinion that is the most important part for a server manager. Here is what peas said to me after an argument in the staff slack:

“It's not don't worry - I myself am aware that, in terms of simply a server manager, Featherpaw is possibly the best for Party and Snacks for WarZ, I just got given the job & I wasn't going to say ‘Actually nahhhhhhhhh’”.

Even peas himself agreed that this probably wasn’t the best choice for the promotion, but decided to keep quiet about it for his benefit, even after a resignation of a hard working, dedicated staff member. Wasn’t too happy about all of that personally, even putting aside that feather was a great friend. Anyways, having said all of this now, I felt almost discouraged for my chances of getting admin one day due to how this promotion was handled. Hard work and dedication didn’t pay off in this case, and it made me question a lot.

Anyways I think I’m done now so bye.

For all the people who made this server fun for me and have helped me along my journey here, I sincerely thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Brawl has been a huge part of my life, and I have loved the majority of the time I've spent here. This will be something I will never forget, and you all have helped me throughout life (sorry for the cheese). I salute you all through these tags of appreciation. (Sorry if I forgot you):

@Raid Community My home. I loved playing with you all for almost 3 years. It has been some of the best times of my life and Survival PvP (NOT RAID!) has always been a (relatively) safe place for me to just hang out, chill, and forget. We've had our ups and downs, but I've tried my best to represent you all and keep your best interests in mind. I wish I didn't have to leave, but sadly, my time has come. Good news though - your bases are 90% safer now ;p

@Macozzz A true legend and the reason I stayed here for so long. I know you won’t see this, but you were / and are still an awesome friend. I will never forget all the fun we used to have. The bed tower war with T2BU, spending hours upon hours practicing pvp (and me getting rekt), playing farm hunt, sucking at build wars, getting banned on faction servers for who knows what reason xD, learning to track here, the endless raids, waking up at 5am to raid BA55 ugh the memories <3 Wish you would have stayed, but school comes first. Good luck man.

I still don't like how you were biased towards a few (mainly anonomus) applications when you were extremely harsh on anyone else who applied for MOD on Raid when clearly they were more suited to MOD. Especially when you asked me to remove quotes of you flaming on threads while you were applying for MOD. (I know I had agreed to not bring this back up but u betrayed too often and it doesn't matter now because u have resumed flaming in threads for all to see)
BTW I think peas is more than capable of managing raid and would be less biased. Although you were extremely dedicated to raid I think it is over exaggerated how much work you did and how much work is required to manage raid especially when there is a section on forums for server ideas
