Like I said earlier.....the current system isn’t the best and I’m not surprised it’s taking this long for change to happen.

 

Going through this thread and reading just about every post I would say that yes, there need to be some demotions on the staff team. @Eil seems to be the best candidate for Admin and has my full support, as for SMod I can't say much for other gamemodes. I know @JAYGT is very active and @Fuiji is a very good, caring staff member that helps and gets more than one opinion on a possible cheater before the ban hammer might strike. I will not list the staff members that I personally believe should be demoted but, I have voted and the polls express how many players feel about the staff team.

I agree on some points but can not say if doges is active or not so I will leave that up to you. @GalaThundR should get a shot at SMod, as I have seen him active and dedicated to more than just build!

Thanks Nick for your support and I hope that you get JMod since you are active all round! You are on the forums pretty much every time I log on and put your 2 cents in ever serious matter with good feedback! I know and have seen you active in game, knowing that you will do a splendid job.

 

Am I only the only who thinks it's not our place to try to decide who gets demoted/promoted regardless of activity, behavior, etc?

 

They should just be forced to resign with the reasons that make them inactive after a few activity warnings. That's less harsh in my opinion, and doesn't disgust them from the server, not as much as if they were demoted at least.

Well we really need a fresh air in this staff team... I don't want to state the ones I want to see fired, but for the promotions...

- I want to see NickManEA jmod for sure. Mature, active and friendly, he's definitely ready for the position.
- nmhrodman1sbest and Moistmayonnaise seem ready too.
- A new Smods wave. GalaThundr for MinecraftBuild, Jay for WarZ? And I believe even with the reprobation from some of the people above, Fuiji would make a good WW manager. He has a full understanding of the game and got some experience in managing as he've already attempted to create a war server a while ago...

As the last move from the server admins was Putty becoming owner, I want to see #EilForAdmin

 

What you say is true and it goes without saying that we can't decide decisions such as demotions and promotions, instead we are just stating our opinions about them.

It isn't, you're right. But we are able to state our opinions as the forum is for discussion and if the points made are valid, hopefully they will listen to the community.

 

Fair enough, real constructive criticism is always a good thing. I think it was just the poll and the nature of the first half of the original post that gave me a bad impression, despite seeing some small bits of actual criticism in the posts to follow. The thread starts off with bashing a lot of staff members saying they should be straight-up demoted for inactivity, and not even for being bad at their job. Really puts me off.

I thought it was obvious. We're not exactly part of the staff team, so we have no right to actually decide. Like I said above, constructive criticism is okay. Most people here, including you, seem to be talking like their word is law. It just comes off a bit douchey to me. There are a few people being reasonable, however.

Why Titanium?

Titanium is very inactive in game, and from what I know hasn't been for a good amount after he applied.

 

I said "seem", and there is a possible chance that there is a reason for the less than 3month abscenses. It's not like we know exactly what's going on with their lives. 90% of real life issues are probably more important than Brawl. Easy, tiger.

 

I do think there is a problem with staff members going inactive for a ridiculous amounts of time, some I think should be warned at the very least and some that are active behind the scenes. On the topic of promotions, @Eil should absolutely be promoted to Admin. I’ve known him long before either of us became staff and I know he is capable of becoming an incredible Admin. Also, surprised he hasn’t been mentioned yet but @SoCool21 should he promoted, he’s always surpassed any expectations as a staff member and although he can get hot headed in deep conversations/discussions I believe he is capable of being a good SMod.
