Jesus just move on already

 

It’s sad, because there are many staff members, yet only a select handful are active. I know for a fact that there are also a few more aspiring staff members whom are STILL waiting for their applications to be decided upon, after all this time, some with 20 or more +1’s. I have been waiting a week to get a simple username issue resolved. The state of affairs the staff team is in is pitiful, especially with red slime as only the developer, while he’s great, he simply cannot do everything. SoCool and Moist should be promoted, they are some of the only people who do things around here. JayOG is good as well, Proudyyyy and icebear are both relatively active from what I’ve seen as well, though for a server this size with this many servers and players across the time zones, 5 staff members who do things is embarrassingly ineffective. We do indeed need some kind of staff wipe, though that’ll never happen, and these suggestions will never be acted upon as the admins seem to do relatively nothing. I’ll probably be banned for my opinion, but I believe it needs to be said. @chickenputty needs to change things around here before the network dies completely. Half the servers have absolutely no players on all day, everyday (I.e Kitbrawl, MCParty, War, Raid has some, not many). I sincerely hope that something is done. I’ve had 8+ suggestions on the board for days, most without a single comment, not to mention the countless that have come days, weeks and even months before mine, which still have absolutely no action or response. I love this server, don’t get me wrong, but seeing this compared to a few years, or even a single year ago, it’s pitiful, and I mean that with no disrespect. I applaud @Ice_Bear1 @Prouddyyy @JayOG @MoistEggnog @MerryCoolmas21 , and @redslime , but as for the rest of the staff team, I feel the lot of them should be removed, or have some action taken against them at least. I meant nothing against him personally, I just listed those whom I see active and on, and doing stuff on any server besides build (I’m on late, sometimes well into Australian/European/Asian timezones, though I haven’t personally seen him) nevertheless, it’s just an opinion.

Errr no, it's just a bug which seems to appear sometimes on brawl and within other digital applications (sometimes pictures being tagged with a 1970 date or something).
It's not the date of "our internet's publication" but actually the start of the unix timestamp (through which many digital things concerning time are handled).

Hey, I'm totally fine with you going into semantics/linguistics instead of just rating my very helpful post informative.

Let's dissect the first part of your sentence. According to you we should pay special attention to the possessive determiner 'our' instead of reading it as 'the internet' with an article.
Using a possessive determiner implies either some sort of possession or otherwise some sort of proximity between 'us' and the 'internet'.
If there was only 'one internet', then using a possessive determiner would be kind of obsolete, which inevitably raises the question for me how many 'internets' are out there according to you.

Then there's also the 'publication'.
There's the arpanet which wasn't really public, thus making it not 'our' internet nor a publicated internet.
It isn't clear when the term 'internet' was first used, its earliest documented use seems to have been in 1974. Still back in 1974 it wasn't really used outside of military and research, not making it our internet and still not really a publicated internet obviously.
It wasn't even until the 80's that more than a few hundred computers had access to it.
It wasn't until Tim Berners-Lee developed the WWW and through that it was kinda made available (closest thing to 'publicated') for commercial use too. That was 1990, not 1970. That's also the date which would jump into my mind if somebody said 'our internet's publication' and not 'the internet's publication'.

And honestly, I don't know any language which has plural markers for the internet, making 'our internet' even semantically equal to 'the internet' which renders your whole reply pointless.

Also @Trebr wants you to know that it's 'hence' and not 'henceforth' you should've used since henceforth refers to a temporal relation and not as with hence a structural/logical one.

Somehow it isn't enough stalking aefrogdog's YouTube, his profile, online times etc. (don't get me wrong: this on its own shows dedication and attention which is very much needed, but isn't it pointless when you were told countless times that he probably won't focus on the forums and IG?) and commenting lowkey provoking things, even after he got rightfully demoted you still can't stop posting about it. How can you be the one who points out "brawl's staff immaturity" when you can't even move on from the simple fact that someone (who hasn't actually done much which came through to the public, which also means nothing negative [as with e.g. Budokkan back on mcpvp] came out of it) got mod (and you didn't although you being the far more active player).

haha yes very funny I need to bump up my post count to get a chance as staff member because making 19 threads after applying and just replying "I agree with [XY]" instead of actually using the agree rating isn't enough already.

 

First off thanks for almost completely missing my point and addressing pretty much none of the real concerns about your behaviour I brought up.

As you've probably been told countless times by my favourite british sire with the giant forehead, the work a staff member does isn't always stuff we get to see. He was, as you've been told countless times again, specifically assigned not to do IG-modding/forum stuff etc.
I don't know how much he did, I don't have any proof to back it up, but I presume neither do you.

Let me get this straight: what you're saying is that someone who was an inactive (j)Mod (at least in the community's eyes) for a few months is equal to an admin who was an immature asshole with a twitter feed worse than Donald Trump's?
I'm not saying that aefrogdog didn't cast any bad light on Brawl, he did indeed cast some bad light on Brawl.
But how is that even comparable to Budo? aefrogdog's staff app had about 50% yes and 50% no/maybe.
If a poll was held back on mcpvp when budo suddenly got admin, I doubt he'd even gotten near 30% yes. heck even 20%.

The only thing which was possibly implied in your reply was me 'not getting the context'.

Yeah right, I bet your threads, constant profile posts etc. were the deciding factor in aefrogdogs demotion.
