How I was banned / The State of the Staff Team

I have a feeling the staff team are going to reveal some truths about their ban system on this thread.

 

minecraft yurrr brawl privacy rules making ss'ing not allowed yurrr players getting banned and having no way to prove there innocence yurrr
all in all even if ss'ing was allowed there's no competent people on the current staff team who has any knowledge it
there will literally always be sketchy clips either if ur legit or not I've seen myself get sketchy hits in 3rd POV making me think I cheat too
there's nothing you can do about it even though I'm 95% sure u wont give up good luck with getting unbanned
(i was mad baked writing this if it doesnt make sense probably why)

 

What the hell did I miss, I’m playing for a whole 3 months and forums isn’t moving at all; I’m gone for like a week and a half and we’re having a CTF trial while my last 3 brain cells just imploded

 

i literally dont play but if he hacks so be it, if not tough **** nobody should care this much

game bad

ninja is a nutty class and getting any hit imaginable is possible /shrug

 

Please refrain from posting any further toxic and/or off-topic comments and return to discussing the issues brought up in the OP.

To clarify this:
The perceived guideline of "do not talk to permbanned players at all" was a misunderstanding and SoCool is not to blame. For the purpose of discussing appeals and bans, staff members are of course allowed to talk to players.
However, we ask staff members to limit other forms of communication especially with players permbanned for serious rule violations like DoX or similar - this is for the safety of our staff team.
We are going to make this clear to all staff members.

@LeUniCow please also understand that we can not spend infinite amounts of time on a single permban. If a decision is reached and e.g. a new appeal date is given, we are not going to keep on discussing the punishment forever.

 

I mean socool has literally made a massive post about how he wants to make some big overhauls to the protocols etc. so they are clearly going to try and improve their methods? Just because they are being stubborn in unbanning you doesn't mean that the staff team doesn't want to learn and improve lol

Once again I’m so happy to announce that I’ve played on a server such as Brawl where the staff are carefully selected and care about their duties.

Many servers wouldn’t give a single infinitesimally small sh*t about a punished player.

Thanks for the great staff team regardless of a decision being just or unjust in the eyes of a player. At least it’s possible to have a discussion.

 

No worries @LeUniCow I’ve underlined and bolded the bit where SoCool clearly says he wants to make changes to the way things such as GC detection and appeal handling are done on brawl. Either you are being lazy and not reading his responses or you are just trying to paint the staff team in a bad image because you are still salty. Please just move on because you are not achieving anything. I don’t even know why this thread isn’t locked.

 

No worries Dave you've taken the time to completely ignore what Uni had to say about the situation, it's fine and dandy for the protocol to be changed but not fine if it's done selectively to avoid unbanning a player where it isn't clear if the player is cheating and I still question how you got a rank on here again, we all know how you would be acting in his situation so not sure what the point of being so biased is, did Uni smack your CTF team or something

 

I've been following this thread without knowing much about the protocol and what goes on behind the scenes. But, I'd like to think if protocol changes, next time you make an appeal, the process would be better.

I am assuming based on this you have received a new appeal date, and staff have made it clear that little will change before your next appeal. They may even reset all cooldowns on appeal affected by the protocol changes, I'm not staff, I don't know.

I'm not weighing into this argument for or against Cow/Staff, I just felt this should be pointed out.

 

I can definitely say that those flicks can be done legit and on high sens. I used to play on high sens too. It comes through experience by playing the game and knowing where your enemy player is positioned. I did this flicks too, until I changed my sens. Also the wired hacks can absolutely be caused by high ping. It normally happens when you hit a player, but through the lag it takes sometime till the server realizes it should have been a hit and that is why the hit is delayed. The clips do look fishy, but they can be explained reasonably and gave as information too that, which can give us those explanations and I think it's unfair to perm ban him. When there is the possibility he is legit and I can say from my experience in minecraft that does situations can happen and I don't hack. Could you please unban him, because he is a big figure in the community and there is not 100% prove that he is cheating. Thanks for reading
