    We need this buff because the Barret is just powerless today and no one really wants to use it in the game.

    I also created this thread because I wanted the Barrett to be a unique, yet decent gun. A lot of the guns have their own little quirks about them. For instance, the AK has a quick reload, the Desert Eagle fires fast and has good hip firing accuracy, etc. I want the Barrett to be one of those unique guns, with its own special little feature, if you will. @Majora_Jora - The headshot hitbox is the same for any gun. I'm not sure if it is possible to make an area for headshot damage bigger, but I don't know for sure, since I don't code plugins. @GreySwordz tell us v:

    I don't like this...
    The barret50c is perfect just the way it is. If you want a powerful sniper rifle with a faster fire rate then use it's baby brother, the l118a, I mean, what your proposing is making the barret another, slightly slower shooting, l118a anyways
    (plus the overarching weaknesses that the barret puts forward makes it easy to see how good you are depending on what sniper you use)

    Nerfing its damage that much would mean headshots aren't OSKs anymore. Even with all the other buffs, I wouldn't like this. I'd just start using the l118a again.

    And, if you really need this buff to be able to get a good amount of barret kills, you should not be using sniper rifles.

    I am using famas all the time :L
    I used Barrett .50 cal til I got iso. Now I only use weapons that require skill...

    Let me clear some stuff up.
    It is still able to one shot if you hit in the head. The headshot range is in fact larger, so it's easier to headshot.
    It shoots faster than the L118a, in my version. If the L118a was nerfed to be like the current Barrett, that's fine. But the 3rd sniper rifle shouldn't be weaker than the first, especially if it is a .50 cal sniper rifle.

    I wouldn't call it weaker, I clearly get more kills with it than if I were using L118A. In fact, with my DEagle, you could almost call the Barret OP. The main issue would probably be, a good number of people aren't proficient at sniping. I suppose that's why there are so many Iso users...?

    That's probably just you. The Barrett, the L118a, and the Isolator have a different feel to them, in my opinion. You're probably more used to the Barrett. The reason why many people use the Isolator is because it one shots, since they're used to it, since it's the last bolt action sniper rifle, and since it has a lot of ammo.

    So basically, you want to turn the Barret into a weaker MSR so people use it more? People are more likely to just use MSR, but nobody does that, right?

    And also, I'm not the only one, what about @jkzoom?

    It is in between the MSR and the current Barrett. I'm aiming to make it more realistic to Call of Duty, by increasing its clip size and making it fire a little faster. It is slower than the Dissassembler and the Dragunov SVD, remember that. It's kind of like a bolt action sniper rifle (which it should be), except it fires a little faster and has a larger clip size.

    The bigger clip would be nice, but the faster firerate would mess up my aim.

    you called?
    the barret50c is a good gun because of its ability to mow down players if used effectively. I wouldn't want to get rid of the barret as it is because I've used this barret since i got it, four months ago. Changing the barret would make it another gun. It would be "that gun that had it's stats changed" not "my barret50c"
    And yes. Me and phanta, along with most of the 40 members of the EST agree with the fact that the barret is a good gun as is.

    As I have thought about this more, I realize all this is, is a dragunov that does a bit more damage. I will change my rating from +1 to +0. Sorry Brawler :/
