It is but, it would make sense to give people a trial to see how they do no ?

 

I was once moderator on a server with 800+ players regularly. A friend of mine received "Trial-Moderator", and proceeded to smite everyone at spawn. Needless to say, she was quickly demoted, but countless players died and lost their items.

Moderator is only given to players who not only demonstrate maturity most of the time, but at all times, and they had to be willing to do anything for a player in need. I literally spent an hour teaching a player the mechanics of the server, and they grew to become a mod as well, and I was credited for keeping them with the server. Mods must always give the server a positive look, because the second a mod is disrespectful to a new server, they have potentially lost a new staff member.

This is why I think Putty denied the people he did, and accepted the people he did.

 

IMO putty accepts people he likes and he doesn't give 2 sh*ts about what happens. Have you ever seen him reply with a helpful response or even talk about a solution to DDoS or hacking? No. He just wants his cash from all the alts and their purchases of unbans and MVP, that is why he never IP-bans. He doesn't give good people staff because who knows why, people like ehvahn can only help the community. If someone says that ehvahn or some of the other people who applied aren't active, I see them on 5x as much as most mods atm. WarZ players don't give sh*ts about the forums because complaining your ass on the forums doesn't stop you from getting DDoSed and putty doesn't care. Will someone being active on the forums help get a DDoSer or a hacker out of the community? Nope, but even people who were active IN GAME AND ON THE WEBSITE DIDN'T GET MOD. AND THEN SOMEONE WITH 80 POSTS GETS MOD. DO YOU SEE ANY LOGIC IN THIS? OR HOW THIS IS HELPING THE SERVER BY DENYING GOOD APPS?

To sum it up, I think that some of the apps that were denied had no reason to be denied and should of at least got trial because putty doesn't even realize how bad his server has gotten, and that in game activity is more important than forums activity.

Although, I believe that Putty does need some new mods who are just mods for WarZ, we only have two mods who just moderate WarZ. Not necessarily me, but I think @bob8is8cool could do a great job, maybe even @LuckyPop too.

 

Touchè, what perms do WarZ mods have? I mean, you could easily abuse the kick command during battle to create logger entities. However, the real issue with promoting is that if a single mod gets carried away, that could give Brawl the worst reputation as a server. The responsibility of a mod goes beyond the commands they are granted. All of a sudden, they represent the server. If a new player logs on an sees a staff member raging at being killed, they will leave and never come back. To that player, all they think is "This server chose this rager to be a moderator? This server is either really crappy, or really desperate for mods."

Either way, it leaves a negative impression on the player, and awful mods will destroy the server.

The reason Putty denied the applications is most likely because the players do not show maturity in game, or forums, etc. (I am not saying you aren't mature, you are a very friendly person. I'm just saying Putty thought you may not have been the best person to represent Mc-Brawl.)

 

Putty wouldn't know who is good for staff and who is not, the community would know because they played in game with them and understand if they are mature or immature. If putty denies someone that he never played with before (because hes never online) for being immature, that makes no sense. Also, IMO ehvahn and cowlick should of got mod and I don't see a single reason why they didn't and putty won't give us reasons because he doesn't have any.

 

Very well agreed rainy! I mean I know that we don't have enough staff, but you guys do the best you can! I mean you are the best mods we have and I hope you guys continue to be mods. Also, I am so sick of hearing of mods resigning... People resign as well as quit because of Hackers/DDoSers.. I mean, if you're a mod you know what is coming your way, anything is possible! True mods stay no matter the case and withstand the barriers of hacking and ddosing.. Rainy, Mario, Venom, Gig, and many others such as Putty, I can almost know that most of the staff have been and still do become ddosed.. BUT GUESS WHAT!? They stay.. True Staff. I have only read a few reply's on here but I just wanted to point out how Mario logged on me. Are mods allowed/supposed to log against people?

 

Even though we thought they were good picks, they didn't seem worthy to the higher staff members. This is exactly the reason we only have 4 WarZ mods. But I think Ehvahn should have at least become a trial mod.

WarZ mods can only temp ban up to an hour.

 

Also, Speaking of, I would Get mod. Oh wait, just 100 posts. But Im hella Active in game. I think, that I, Am probably the MOST ACTIVE out of the WHOLE community. But Do i EVER see putty on? Hell no. Mario? Sometimes. Venom? Even less than mario. And I have no ****ING IDEA Why Ehvahn Was denied. Hell, This server is falling apart. Putty: Oh, look ehvahn is on all the time but because i havent ever seen him on, i guess ill just make up an excuse to make sure he doesnt become mod. hmm. How about immaturity? that sounds good. If I was owner, I'd Promote Ehvahn firstly, Then Ban A hell of a lot of people, and not just ban them, but IP Ban them. And Putty, If you see this, sorry, but its true. Please dont ban me. :c

I mean on different servers. Not MCBrawl.

 

I Believe the forums are still an important part of the server. Then you'd have to be on exactly when a smod+ is on to hear announcments, etc.
