And? It's much less efficient to create a resource pack for that one reason you can just change the item in the code. A resource pack changing 1 item to satisfy people who dislike an aesthetic change is absurd.

Well, as long as there's two sides to the argument, steak probably won't budge. So an RP would be ideal to make it the most noob friendly possible.

The most noob friendly would be potions. Your point?

Well, actually, all 3 are equally noob friendly. All 3 are things you would logically eat in a vanilla fight to up your health/hunger no matter what they're coded to do. In vanilla, steak is my preferred food when I'm PVPing to up my hunger. However, out of the three, steak is the only stackable one. So that's why.

It's not exactly a matter of "forcing."
    Vanilla Minecraft has this thing...
    They're called Server Resource Packs.
In case you've never played Headshot, I'll walk you through.
You download and use the pack while you're on that one server. It takes up memory on your computer only while you're on that server. Something else that's incredibly convenient is you can choose whether or not to use it.

    GG. Problem solved.

What you can do with Server Resource Packs:
    1. Make the flag look more appealing
    2. Have a solid texture on Nether Rack and Lapis (spawns look cleaner)
    3. Custom sounds (when someone picks up the flag, death sound, sprinting, etc., etc.)
    4. Mage can actually have a staff/wand instead of a hoe (if you know what I mean )
    5. Elf can have real elemental arrows
    6. More class possibilities (You can make a class that wields a double-axe or a hammer)
The list goes on and on...
