Idea Class Concept -- Mirage

    Class idea -- Mirage

    Starting Items

    -Iron Sword (Renamed--Mirage Sword)
    -2 Steak
    -Iron Ingot ( Mirage)
    -Brick ( Medic Mirage)
    -Gun Powder (renamed--Mirage Disappearance)
    -Compass (normal Compass)

    -Iron Helmet
    -Diamond Chestplates
    -Leather Leggings (Grey)
    -Iron Boots

    Class Explanations

    -Cannot be hit by engineers turret unless the engineer controls it. It has speed I all the time. When shifting you turn invisible with only wisps at your boots(cannot shift and move, have to stay still, this only lasts 10 seconds and then you will become visible, 1 minute cool down shown on xp bar when sword is held)

    -The iron sword is this classes main weapon, when hit by the Mirage Sword the player gets wither effect I every 10 hits to an enemy player.(Only the dark hearts).

    -The iron ingot is now much simpler, as you right click the Iron ingot a GUI opens up (chest) with all the classes, by clicking the one that you want you can look like it, e.g you click the Archer's Bow, 5 seconds later you will look like an Archer. When you choose a class with an ability (only ninja, soldier, necro and engineer) you have some of the items to make it look realistic, ninja, you will have the speed II, soldier you will have the wall climbing, necro you will have a fake spawner with fake zombie which give no damage and can be killed with one hit, engineer you will have fake turret which fires no arrows. These will all disappear once the lasting time is gone. This mirage will last 1 minute and has a cooldown of 20 seconds. If a enemy player hits you 5 seconds later your disguise will break and you all look like a normal Mirage. (Cannot turn into soldier or ninja when flag is held)

    -The brick turns your armour into a medics armour and golden sword and changes your colour of your name tag to the opposite team, tricking that you are a medic of that team. This lasts for 45 seconds and has a cool down of 1 minute (cannot use if flag is held), if an enemy hits you, you immediately turn back into a Mirage.

    -The Mirage Disappearance when right clicked gives the Mirage strength II for 3 seconds and blindness I to enemies in a 5x5 block radius. It turns the Mirage into a dust like appearance with only the boots and leggings visible (cannot use if flag is held, this ability can only be used when 3 hearts below).

    It does sound somewhat OP... but it also sounds very nice, and like a great and tactical class.

    It's armor is very high, I suggest turning it into leather chestplate and chain boots.

    Mirage has a low amount of steak so it will be quite weak.. @Romke_McScumbag

    I like this idea more then any of your others but classes shouldn't be made to counter specific classes (like making it to where engineer's turrets cant attack them)

    Sure there are classes better suited for taking out certain classes but none of which directly targets a certain class.

    kinda like tf2's spy... i like it

    if you were trying to make it have the same concept of spy then i would suggest this:

    1. if you were trying to make it like the spy then try having it have critical hits every three - four hits to the back but remove jump critting and possibly nerf the sword to a stone one

    this should be able to change your name tag to one of the medics on the other team or if there isn't a medic on their team keep your name tag. the reason why i would do this is because any person on the enemy team can just press tab and see all the players named and they are highlighted to player's team colour so when they see a name tag from the enemy team they would instantly realize that player is a mirage and is on the other team.

    3. i may want to change the armour somewhat and give it 3 steak instead

    4. have turrets be able to target this class when undisguised and not target it when it is disguised

    overall a very cool class idea good job :smile:

    These cooldowns are way too long for a fast-paced game like CTF. In addition, the class's entire concept revolves around turning into other classes. Why not just freakin play the classes you're turning into? It doesn't make much sense.

    It revolves around the idea of sneaking into places, killing the flag carrier, and being in essence mysterious.

    And that answers my questions how? All that says is that you have an idea. And we already have a class like that, ninja. It doesn't answer why you might as well play the classes you turn into. This class is uneccesary. You also didn't adress the long cooldowns.

    I agree with Obi here, too much like Ninja. Hell even Assassin. They do what they do differently but its all the same what they do. Personaly I would like to see some more classes like Heavy or Dwarf, they can take a hit. We have so many light armored high damage classes.

    I know its a fast paced game but that dosent mean every 1v1 has to be the first person to get the hit, or the faster person.
    (Really complicated as well)

    When you turn into a soldier you should not be allowed to climb walls like just play soldier if you want to do that

    This sounds alot like spy in TF2. I think that it would be more balanced if when you changed to soldier, you would not be able to wallclimb, or if you changed to ninja, you should not get speed 2, ect.

    When disguised, you should take double the damage that you would when not disguised, and should not be able to carry the flag.

    The mirage disappearance would be more balanced if it gave you slowness I as a part of the other effects, so it is not so overpowered.

    Other than that, as long as it ends up having a different role than ninja, it could be an interesting add. I am curious if this would be a capping class, long range recovering class, or if it would counter any classes other than engie.

    I don't think CTF really needs a new class for a while now.
    Also wouldn't it of been easier to of just put all your class ideas into one instead of spamming a lot of them.
