If its not broken dont fix it.. Why was the wool changed in the first place?

 

It was changed to make CTF more "up to date" with 1.8 features. I don't see the banner being problem except for what @obikenobi21 said about recoving. It is also very hard to pick up the banner too with everyone in the flagroom knocking you around. I saw that a lot in the showcase match.

 

If banners had a hitbox (for players) and dropped as items Id be fine.

 

I'm with those who think it causes more harm than good. I mean, the good it does is it creates a cool visual change to have a flag that actually kinda looks like a flag, but after that the cons just start racking up. The cons heavily, heavily outweigh the pros and even with keeping a total open mind about it, the banners don't seem to be going as smooth as they wanted them to be. If we went back to wool but kept the words that said "red/blue flag" like it does now, people would probably be able to get that the wool was the flag cx.

 

I don't know about you guys, but banner's were never in my opinion a good idea to add. Just because things are in the newer updates of minecraft doesn't mean you should use them.
