Why exactly can't we have wool?

Nom, did you speak to the CTF Moderators about the banner change before coding it and get approval? I mean you're quoting the Skype chat so I think it's appropriate to ask this question.

If wool isn't coming back.... I'll try to sue Brawl. I don't know how, but I'll do my best.

 

I would much prefer wool flags than banners. The normal wool flag is so much easier to cap and recover with. With the banner flags, it is so much harder to steal the flag and to recover it back.

 

Good luck taking this matter to court.

11 pages over a wool vs banner thread. What the ****. If there is such a split, just add an option to change the visuals or some ****. /flag can change someone's vision, causing them to see wool or a banner, nothing more needed (I know very well that this can be coded).

 

The problem here is that non of you know how to adapt to a change that most likely will not be changed back. It was like the new WarZ map. We all knew it was going to stay but some of us hated it. But now I think almost everyone likes it. It's just that you all don't know that it will not get changed due to how brawl works. And what makes you think that they are going to change something just because people from a different server tell them to change it.

"adapt to change... that most likely will not be changed back... WarZ map..." CTF gets new maps in what are called Map Waves. Any and EVERY CTFer needs to adapt to the map. We don't just say "**** it, new map, I won't play." WarZ, of what I know nothing about, is ONE ****ING MAP. Now CTF is *****ing about the wool problem. THAT IS ONE PROBLEM. We are not *****ing because we want the old wool back(at least I'm not) we are *****ing because of the problems that were caused from the new "wool."

This is a game changing(or breaking) mechanic. One ****ing map does jack **** to what is in the code of the game itself. It's not like in WarZ they made it so everyone spawns with Diamond Armor. THAT would be a game breaking mechanic.

I don't like Brawlers because they know nothing about CTF, come in here, and expect the CTF community (who most have been around longer than this server) to suddenly change 2-3-4 years of normality. Then they allude to a irrelevant topics, such as the WarZ map, that has nothing to do with game breaking mechanics.

I may be an asshole, but at least I don't **** around on other categories of the forums just to make irrelevant points.

I would, but the MCBuild server won't allow me to create any more worlds. 10 worlds is the limit and I have 38 worlds...

 

Ok a few things that I would LOVE to point out.

Ok. This is just bull****... Your server shut down and you all come to this server and act the way you do? Yes you are all going to have to deal with some change. This is Brawl... Not mcpvp. And you are kind of hypocritical because even though you say we know nothing about mcpvp, YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BRAWL xD. Thats why I dislike alot of McPvPers because you all are coming in and trying to get alot of stuff changed even though most of us have been on brawl for a long time. Most of you have just joined brawl... Dont think you can make a change at this time. Maybe in a few months, yes, at that time brawl will know what you are all like. Because right now you are all just a bunch of people from a whole different server who just joined this one and know almost nothing about it trying to get stuff changed.

Now 2 reasons why you might not understand this.

1. Its 3 am where I am and I'm like more than half asleep.

2. You all just don't understand how brawlers are. Trust me. After begin on this server for a while you will know what brawl is like.

My server? You mean my home server where I put money, my life, and skill into? I can't say "Hey, I've been a Brawler since 2012." I will always stay an MCPVPer and CTFer, no matter what server tells me to be. As for this being Brawl, I could give a **** if it was the Hive or any other server who got CTF, Build, and HG. When Brawl got it, they said they would update it more, not destroy gameplay. And I don't care about Brawl none the least. And MCPVPers come on and get stuff changed??? The Wool was changed into a banner and caused unexpected gameplay problems. Countless CTFers have given reasons on why they don't like the banner:

1) It is hard to steal the flag when you are being ping-ponged across the flagroom.

2) Recovery is harder because the banner needs to land and "plant" before it can be touched.

3) It removes the helmet from the carrier, making them weaker to attacks. Including 1 hit kills.

4) It creates a blind spot when in f5 to check for Assassins.

5) Reports of the banner blocking arrows.

It's not like every CTFer is walking in saying "Nope, I hate the banner" without reasons. I could give a damn if you were on Brawl since the start. CTF wasn't created when Brawl was. As for changes? MCPVP neglected CTF for so long, meaning CTFers are longing for improvements, and notice how I didn't say change. As for the influx of MCPVPers, most came here because Brawl bough out CTF, Build, and HG. And for them to just buy those 3 to not update them is plain out stupid. They wouldn't invent time or money if they weren't going to invest time. It seems like you have no clue why CTF is in an uproar, not me.

Your reasons:

1) I don't care where you live or what time it is for you.

2) You don't understand MCPVPers, who come from a server where it played by favorites, whereas HG was the favorite and moneymaker for MCPVP.

And back on MCPVP forums, CTF was it's own community, so don't expect many CTFers to conform to being a Brawler.

 

What I am trying to say is that most McPvPers don't know how brawl works. They staff don't often accept community ideas so what makes you think that you all, who have been on Brawl for less than a month, will cause a change.

 

Idk wat makes you think they won't. They alreasldy changed some of the banner mechanics in response to this thread, so rip yur point. Also, we know the game better then you guys, which is exactly why they would accept our ideas.

 

This thread needs to be locked so a major flame war does not start.

 

I like how some people who are wrong don't reply to the people they were talking to.

Anyways......

One time ctf didn't get an update for ONE YEAR. There were new map waves, yes, but other than that NOTHING was updated in ctf for ONE YEAR.

Can you brawlers understand now?
