    I don't know. He probably pocketed a bit of it, but he pays for his children's education (and used some of the money he made from McPvP to do it).

    It's a figurative example.
    But the reason you just posted is the reason why I won't believe what Brawl says about costs for CTF until I see pocketbooks.

    Brawl is a big server network and to be honest I don't think they'd care if they don't believe you, its not your business anyways so why do you care?

    It would not cost 20k for a server, unless you are like paying coders like $100 and hour. Well including server maintaince and paying coders the amount you and the coder desires then you have to pay them either by the hour, the week, month, year(if the server will stay up for one year). So a lot of money would go into the servers. But not 20 -40k.

    3 coders

    18 * 8 = 144
    144 * 5 = 720
    720 * 3.5 = 2520
    2520 * 12 = 50240
    50240 * 3 = 150720
    $151k / year?

    I suppose $18/hr may not be realistic for a Minecraft server.

    Why... just why are you asking this question? mvpcp was shut down and now brawl has it (No problem with that)! Then boom, a random player is asking to buy mcctf... WHY THE **** ARE YOU ASKING THIS QUESTION :rage:

    Wool flags were and still are better than banners by many expects. Plus it was fine as it was in MCPVP. I never heard anyone complain about the wool being so "stupid". I can't say the same towards banners though.

    An interesting argument... But here's the thing. MCPVP is GONE. It's not coming back. I am done with EVERYONE comparing brawl to a server that doesn't even exist anymore. Brawl.com is NOT perfect, and neither was McPvP. It's time to let McPvP go, Frozen style. I am from McPvP, and I liked that server a lot. But there is absolutely no reason to be comparing the two servers. Ctf is in different (and hopefully better) hands now. So lets all be patient and stop asking what McPvP would have done about problems, and co-operate with the Brawl staff. We still have the same moderators/coders. Comparing the two servers is useless when the gamemode in question is being coded by the same people.
