Why is Archer Free?

Because if it weren't free, the server would be pay- , actually they're all pay2win. Every. MC. Server.

 

To be honest i wouldn't actually care if the class cost money, its 2.50... I spend more on lunch(as well as stuff like a dedicated server, and website). But really do you think this **** right here was easy? (yea)

Like @kevshadowslayer mentioned above, archer is meant to be a free recovery class. The 4 free classes are each supposed to fill one role in the game - heavy is solid enough for defense or midfield, soldier is good at capping, medic is a support class, and archer can help in recovery over great distances. Now granted, this doesn't mean they are the best at what they do (for instance, pyro is more powerful on defense than heavy), but that is why many of the "better" classes must be bought. But still, if archer wasn't free, no free class would have a chance of recovering from an escaped ninja or assassin.

 

I think archer is free because it allows people who don't want to pay for classes, and easy way to get a high KDR and yet save money.

 

Honestly some people ask me this all the time and i say this: You can't just want archer to be premium because there's so many of them. If this class was premium, think about all the people you would just lose. Same thing goes as the soldier. Why would I stay on this server if I had to pay for my favorite class (that's free)? Brawl is not greedy. Although there are here to make money, they are not trying to be greedy enough to make us pay for our favorite class.

 

Archer at this point will always be free there is no changing that anyone who will have to pay for there favorite class and didn't before may not play at all.

 

I feel Archer should stay free. It's fairly easy to use, and it's not overpowered to new players, unless you have been using the archer class for a long while and are skilled at it. Obviously the archer class does have some advantages over other classes, but that is what makes it a good class.
