    Best thing is, this is also a nerf to most other classes. Soldier can't get out the flagroom and exploit infinite mobility as they're easier to kill, they can be 3 shot with a couple crits. Chemist can be 3 shot without crits so its a lot harder for them to pot up and have access to their 180 heart health pool. Pyro gets 2 shot if they're both crits even without buffs. Offensive ninjas are a lot easier to kill before they pearl away/into the banner. Engineer gets 2 shot giving ninjas more of a chance to kill engineer even with the turret on them.

    Its long overdue but at least its here now.

    I'm a bit surprised it jumped from 4 to 6... although it was sharp 6 to begin with before Brawl (and I'm sure there isn't that much of a difference at sharp 5, but its still a difference lol). Atm, it's become a huge nerf to all classes. Chemist is now a real challenge to survive even a small fight, lest capping the flag, with so many sharp 6 ninjas around. And I'm speaking on behalf of one of the most experienced chemist mains out there...

    Chemist(me) vs. Ninja(sharp 4, no buffs)
    1v1 - Decently easy win
    1v2 - Hard win
    1v3 - MLG win
    1v4 - Good luck...

    Chemist(me) vs. Ninja(sharp 6, no buffs)
    1v1 - Hard win
    1v2 - MLG win
    1v3 - Good luck...
    1v4 - never even left spawn

    So... as you can see with my tables above ^-^ chemist is now a challenge to play (for even a very experienced player) and of course it is more of a challenge for all other classes too. So basically RIP capping with chemist, medic, elf, and mage, because only soldier and heavy will have enough armor to sustain such high damage per second for a long enough time. As chemist, if I'm missing around 1.5 hearts, I now become an easy 2-shot for just one defending non-buffed ninja (If I'm missing 0.5 hearts I become a nice insta-kill for an archer, but that's a topic for another day xP). Personally, I live off of challenges, so I find this update even more fun and exhilarating. Imo, ninja is now a bit too strong (even when not buffed). I also have a lot of experience with ninja (my 2nd main), and it was very strong for me with just sharp 4. Sharp 4 was definitely playable to defend and get kills, though it was hard to do so very effectively, especially for the average player. Sharp 5 seems to be a satisfying middle ground (maybe tweak the code to still be able to 2-shot pyros when buffed, like Miskey said), but we'll see how it plays out. I'm glad Brawl still cares about balancing CTF. :smile:
    even though there's still a lot to be done... :wink:

    F.Y.I. Expect some more "potspam" from chemists, because they'll need to be throwing down a lot more health.

    Depends if they are good ninjas. If it were me (because im ez) i think u would win but against pro ninjas yes hard. I mean I got killed by 2 ninjas (@Chatin and @VN2004) as chemist very easily.

    Ninja is currently in the same sate as it was back in Mcpvp, and even back then, Chemist who knew what they are doing still had enough time to get that hp pot right before that 3rd hit (why do you think people were still complaining about chemist on Mcpvp?) So it's not about the game getting harder, it's chemists now being forced to be less lazy and wasteful again.

    w00w them shots. lol Idk if it's a damage glitch or if the average ninja PvPer is just really, really good, but as I said above, with just losing a heart or two (which is usually the case), chemists become an easy 2-shot. With multiple ninjas... multiple buffed ninjas... it becomes almost useless. The same goes for archer, but at least flag rooms aren't covered
    with them.

    Ninja finally got a buff. I noticed that most ninjas were having a harder time killing more experienced pyros, since the pyro could easily steak. Now a ninja can 2/3 shot them with ease. This also makes recovery a lot easier since lower armored classes, such as elf and ninja will have a hard time steaking through ninjas, and because of ninjas mobility, they can't run away. More armored classes will also have lower chances to escape the flag room, which is great. I want to see how the rest of the community reacts, but I think that this buff is a great asset to ninja's tools.

    3 normal attacks, which makes it way too easy to die.

    Having played in a few unofficials today, ninja does seem a bit op. Like @scapecrafter said, even a 1v1 as a chemist vs ninja isn't that easy anymore. And if there is 3 ninjas, you can basically give up on capping. Even as soldier, it's so much harder to get out the flag, I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing. But, ninja is definitely much more op.

    I'm starting to notice that more people are thinking this is more op than I thought there would be. I'm fine with this but it does confuse me that this is the exact same class that you guys played against for years on mcpvp and other than 414 and ghost capping there wasn't much resentment. So what's different now?

    I think that the resentment is called for in this situation. After playing with the sharpness 4 ninja for quite a long time, I think people are used to ninja being a class that is weaker when it comes to 1v1ing someone, but still outputs ridiculous amounts of damage when they are fighting with a heavily armored class. For example, if elf was given full diamond armor, people would get used to that eventually. However, if it suddenly went back to it's prior status with the protection 1 leather armor, people would think that it is much too underpowered. People will (hopefully) get used to this new buff, in due time. For now, people just have to deal with all the "ninja is so op!11!" comments.

    Because more and more people have becoming quite pro ninja mains and have been using the class to its full potential with its incredible mobility, stealth, and DPS. We dealt with sharp 6 on McPvP because that's just how it was, balanced or not. And now, we are just progressing to find the "perfect" balance, especially after trying out sharp 4 and now back to sharp 6.

    My thoughts on the buff
    -Effective nerf for heal spamming Chemist
    -Effective nerf for capping Soldier
    -super effective nerf for Pyro campers
    -Makes Engineers more valuable near the flagroom (turrets 2 shot ninjas)
    -very slight nerf to dwarf, ninjas can deal significantly more damage to them before being wiped out
    -Fighting ninjas with Mage/chemist will be much more serious
    -Necro still weak as balls
    -Ninja extremely buffed

    imo its going to take time to re-adjust to what we had b4 since sharp 4 has been here for a bit now, but i will say that classes are significantly easier to kill (chemist, pyro, etc.) i was killing pyros in a practice we did pretty easily w/o buffs but i rather being able to kill the pyro then try to work around the pyro. however, its doing too much damage to some of the other classes if that makes any sense

    good in some situations, bad in others.

    edit: when i said its easier about chemist & pyro, that's a good thing. this is a really nice counter to those two classes

    People got too used to Ninja being garbage, so they lack the sense of urgency anymore.

    It's similar to how it was with Assassin, during the 2 Redstone days most normal players would block at any hint of an assassin being around. Nowadays that sense of urgency is gone and now people die by Assassin more often.

    Its the reverse for Ninja, since Ninja didnt pose a serious threat to ones health, they stopped being as much of an issue and you just had to outdamage them. Now that Ninja can actually fight, people need to keep up with Ninja.

    This was much needed, but I worry for Elf. Even so, Elf needed an armour buff to begin with.

    I think what people are noticing now is the fact that all of the classes were truly weak to begin with. Now that people have seen a world with a weaker Ninja

    TL;DR:

    Dont sleep on a Ninja.

    Fix the cheeky pearl capping stuff everyone has a problem with, then maybe give the class a minimal amount of armor just so it can take an extra hit if the skill floor needs to be raised.
