I also think it would be nice not to have the particle effect when elf has its shield up. It renders before the player does, and if you see it as archer it's incredibly easy to kill them if you strafe a little, because most elves tend to stay in the same general area when they're under attack in the hopes of headshotting you, while dropping their shields to fire pure element at you.

It looks cool, but it's unnecessary. The argument that it helps new players figure the class out also isn't a very good one considering there's still no way of knowing that water gives resistance.

 

If you ask me a cool addition would be having an exp level going down when using your block, and not just exp bar.

 

Particles are too cool tho .-.

And anyway, any elf who has a clue is not going to stay in the same general area, fishing for a headshot with elf shield while trying to shoot Pure Element at people. It's very rare to get many headshots from the elf shield in the first place, and taking on one or more archers at long range with just Pure Element is not a good idea in the first place.

But then, yknow, the archer has a far smaller chance of hitting you if you actually know how to strafe at all.

 

Is it just me or does anyone else not really take elf serious as a class becuz like mage (more so with elf because I have seen mages play effectivly on def) it has no real role in matches

Ok he along with a select few are an exeption. In general tho most elves i see just spam earth element or camp and spam block on nooby archers.

 

Which is why it needs a rework.
