CTF: Map Wave XI

Congratulations to the winners!

 

The only downside to new maps is having to learn the layout, but that doesn't seem like much of a downside to me. It'll be fun running around looking at everything as long as you don't get killed doing so.

I'm going to have to agree with this one. I sure hope Ship Battle isn't still in because it's an "original". Sure, Blackout is an original, but it's actually a good map. Ship Battle has 1 way into the flagroom and is dominated by the average Soldier. Defending is a horrible idea on that map because it's either too easy if you have a dwarf or too hard because the sponges practically launch you to your flag. Cruise Ship Battle was a much needed rework / redo of Ship Battle and it just boggles my mind at how the better rework was removed while the very flawed original managed to stay in.

 

Regs and randees have equal access to voting at the end of each game.

Regs are more likely to tap the escape key out of voting.

 

Wouldn't say it was a better map. The fact that they managed to make ship battle worse truly boggles my mind.

Oh the ascetics of these maps are on point. Their gameplay however will be judged later. But gr8 job anyways!!!

 

I love it when old maps get reworked to fit current gameplay and aesthetics, hope this continues

Re add metro. Im glad cruise ship and divergent strike were removed, they really suck.

Yes, the difference between the highest and lowest rated map is about seven percent. Keep in mind most newly added maps score low because the quantity of votes is low, or just because they are new.

Probably the same reason that other maps get removed, low ratings. At least I don't recall it being removed because of unfixable map problems or lag.
