Idea Ninja Capping Nerf

    Ninja wasn't really originally made to be a capping class, and now its perfectly able to cap to the point where some people think its OP. Its really easy to stop a ninja while its in the flagroom, but if it gets out then you will almost always cap, due to how high the mobility is. For ninja to be more fair, its mobility needs to be reduced when its capping, but not when its trying to recover.

    Simple solution: ninja takes more hearts from pearling when it has the flag. I think 3 hearts instead of 2 is enough, but it could be increased if the nerf isn't effective enough. Even better if ninja takes reduced damage (1 heart for example) when it pearls when it doesn't have the flag, so other ninjas will have more health if they finally catch up to the other ninja.

    As well as this, increasing ninja's sword sharpness by 1 means ninjas on defence will have an easier time taking them out. Perhaps a 1 second cooldown on eggs to stop eggspam, too, but I've never really seen this as an issue.

    Whenever some ninja starts to ghost-cap, I just starting being the annoying dwarf that camps by the flag until they stop trying. Beat OP with OP.

    I think countering ninja is really simple, but all it'd take is one person to assassinate you or one person to distract you, and a ninja will be able to escape most people who are defending.

    Or they could just make it so a ninja can't pick up the flag if their pearl isn't in their inventory.

    Or we could just have maps with flagrooms that are less open so Ninja capping is more of a challenge.

    It would only nerf ninja flag carriers, which is something a decent amount of people want. Besides, if you get out the flagroom untouched, you can still pearl 3 times before dying from pearl damage if its increased to 3 hearts per pearl.

    You are complaining about the maps without the knowing how hard it is too make one as perfect as possible, if you think they should be better, make them yourself???

    Okay. Well believe it or not, I have a lot of respect for people who do put in the time and energy into making maps such as yourself, November, Flavorous, EddKrumbs (etc) so please do not misunderstand me there.

    That said, I honestly have no idea where you get the impression that I want maps to be 'as perfect as possible'. I don't. All I am saying is that flagrooms could be made to be a little bit less open on certain maps so flag stealing with Ninja is not too easy to do (which would largely make @SoCool21's proposed nerf here unnecessary). I do not see how that is an unreasonable thing to ask of the numerous people who do put the massive effort into making quality CTF maps for the server.

    Tbh just put a small cooldown on the enderpearl after it hits and revert the sword back to sharp 5. Not only does it nerf ninja capping, it also limits ninjas mobility which IMO is the real problem. The sword buff is to compensate for the mobility nerf, as well as being part of me believing the wrong part of the class was nerfed.

    Or Ninjas can't pearl at all while holding the flag (Ok, that's a MAJOR nerf)

    That'd make ninja capping basically impossible. This nerf tries to still allow a ninja to get past an OP defence such as a few dwarves, but if they couldn't pearl at all that'd almost never happen.

    Yeah, I thought of that as a last resort (plus ninja wasn't really intended to be a capping class at first). Personally, now that I'm reading this again I would NOT like this at all
