    I dislike this idea, here's mainly why

    This is basically an idea to get rid of the 3 widely hated classes of CTF on one single day, which are necro dwarf and engineer, simply because they're a pain in the ass for all regs to go around and force players to take longer/more complicated routes around a map.

    You haven't exactly clarified what should happen if you get a class that isn't very good or fun and very easy to play, such as necro or elf.

    It doesn't help if you love playing something like mage for example but you can't get it every week, and keep in mind it takes quite a bit to earn 30k credits (600 caps, and as a regular like myself I am halfway from even reaching 30k and I play CTF almost daily, maybe not to the point where i cap farm or recov farm but you get the point), so it's just going to take an awful amount of time for players to just get 1 class that they like. Obviously IIRC there are plans to improve the credit system, but it doesn't mean a randy will reach 7.5k credits in one day (even though it is technically possible).

    This is a recycled idea from LoL which I don't think suits CTF just as much. Keep in mind there is still a free champion rotation week in League as there is hextech crafting, so players could still try out or play champions they like for free once every few weeks. Now I know league has around 130 champions, but think about this. Imagine just basing league on hextech crafting, 'cause you're done seeing a yasuo every game in his free week. It is a much larger possibility that you won't get that champion, because there are more champions.

    However, there is still a 1/9 chance of getting a class you like, and i can tell you that is still quite a low chance.

    I think that chests shouldn't replace free day, I think they should replace credits in ctf instead, and make them completely achievable by in game performance.

    I have thousands of games of experience, and of all those thousand games I've played a number of free days. It's never really intrigued me or bothered me much, and I've gotten used to the randy engineers and necros. I in fact find it a bit of a fun challenge to try play ctf in Freeday's more chaotic atmosphere rather than complain to abolish it and replace it. Remember, it's only one day. 1/7th of the week allows you to play any class, which really isn't a big deal. If there was that big of an issue with freeday for so many years, the committee would have answered to it (they did answer to pyro's instakill, chemist's pot pool, soldier's wall climb, just took a bit of time but they still fixed). And I don't really consider it as big of an issue as other things around CTF

    Actually, I did if you read the post. There was a reroll idea that I brought up. Anyways, you can't really complain if you are being allowed to play one free class a week. Mentioning the credits, how much the classes cost aren't my concern involving this thread as the topic is not about if classes should be cheaper or not. Please use relevant discussions.

    The system is made to be random, as new players can try out new classes or it would hopefully balance out the "Friday Mob". The free champion rotation also consists of 10 champions a week, while this is only 1 class non repeating for a month. This isn't about "aw man I got necro when I wanted mage", this is about players being allowed to experiment different classes and hopefully save up for a class of their choice without joining in on the usual, very unenjoyable event called freeday.

    I can understand this actually, and I agree with a bit of this. The thing is, a majority of the community does not like the chaos, and I am usually 50/50 with it.

    The system is just a simple add on, and yes, it has many flaws while offering many advantages. There is definitely room to improve this idea, which your input greatly helps. Ty :smile:

    By saying didn't clarify you didn't explain exactly how the reroll idea would work in your eyes, which is why I didn't really consider it as a suggestion. Talking about credits is technically relevant to the discussion because it is based upon how classes would be achieved with the removal of Free day.

    Yes but I am sure after countless of free days a randee has played I'm sure they have experienced different classes more and more then rather than a slow system. It is quite dull to continously just play one class when you could have access to all of them in one day.

    I often wonder how people jump to conclusions that the majority of the community hate something by just asking a few close friends. We could just make a poll and see how large is the percentage of people that do actually hate freeday, but as I mentioned if people actually found it that big of a deal a mass amount of people would have already made rants about it just as they have for a lot of other issues, such as the referee issue

    Anyways, you're welcome for my input, hopefully we could find a compromise and some amendments to the original idea that could be actually be a considerable replacement to freeday
