The only time I will ninja cap is if I am unable to get out of the flagroom as any other class. Usually the only thing I've heard of people getting mad at me about is when I kill people... Idek *cough @elmocookie cough* when I keep killing u over and over and u apparently almost break ur desk. Im jk. Pls dun hurtz me. Now what is this thread about again?!

 

What about the fact that nom knows about this cheap tactic, and wont do anything about it?

 

I play Engineer when my ping is too high for me to even play Heavy... So a decent amount lately.

As for the ghost capping, I hate it. I know it's part of the game, and that I do it some times. The thing that bothers me is when people only ghost cap and do nothing else. Makes defending the flag super hard.

 

Which maps are notorious for ghost capping? Should then be fixed?

 

Well why not both teams ghost cap, instead of one teaming complaining.

Many maps would have to be fixed if that was how we would approach stopping ghost caps. Not to mention, you can premature pearl on any map. Ghost capping can be very annoying, and when done right it can be very overpowered. However, a player closely watching the flag post will have a near 95% success rate in my opinion. Ninja's are very weak and can easily be hit away from the flagpost or damaged enough for them to die on the enderpearl's impact or shortly after.

 

You can ghost nearly every map, it's just up to the defense to defend well.

Even then, if their blocking only a dwarf or archer HS (like that"ll happen, but Im sure you"d find a way) would 1 shot it, however on maps with centrally located flagposts engineer, archer and necro can beat the ninja away in one easy hit, or you better hope fire damage, the occasional midfielder, or fall damage kills the thing or its impossible to recover

 

Why are you so good

 

Ghosting is throwing a pearl in the air before you go get the flag. The ninja goes to the flag while invisible and reappears while sneaking and blocking. As soon as the ninja grabs the flag the ninja is then teleported either outside the flagroom, or halfway across the map making recovery a pain in the ass or just impossible.

 

It's not like ghost capping is super op. You yourself just listed a bunch of flaws in it. I'll relist them anyway. It'll take enough damage from a dwarf or pyro or ninja that it'll probably die upon 1-2 pearls. The ninja has to time it decently for it to even have a shot at capping. A midfielder can kill the ninja or if the ninja tries to suicide near spawn, the midfielder can beat the ninja to the flag (and you'd be suprised by how often these things happen). Anyway, I myself ninja cap every so often and I'll say that it is a lot easier to cap as a soldier or any heavy armored class then it is to cap as ninja. Ninja has a very small chance in escaping the flagroom, and its chance of capping becomes even smaller when ninjas have to deal with flag poison amd midfielders. However, a soldier can just hop in and hop out (if there's a good distraction) and it probably has a way better chance in capping. Anyway, if a ninja caps the flag, it's really the defense's fault because they didn't pay attention in the middle of a battle field.
