    Just a couple suggestions that I think would overall improve the gamemode:

    1) Alongside Free Friday, I think we should consider adding something like Main Monday (just a suggestion name), where, as the name suggests, all premium classes are disabled, and everybody is locked to only the main classes (Heavy, Soldier, Archer, Medic) for the same time frame as it is on Friday. This gives a little bit of an advantage to newbies, and gives veterans who often use premium classes a chance to return to their humble beginnings.

    (A poll has been added for this one, as it is more of a community thing.)


    2) This is likely more important, but also much bigger.
    I believe we should cap the amount of people that can use a class per team.
    I have, many times, encountered games where the other team, or sometimes annoyingly, my own team, seems to be unfairly stacked with ninjas. This gives most classes a hard time grabbing the flag and keeping hold of it for more than a minute. The same occurs with assassins sometimes, though less often. In fact, I write this just after rage-quitting of a game where the opposing team had only 10 players, but 6 were ninjas, all guarding the flag.

    I don't mean a number cap, like "5 per team" - then we end up with small games where a team has 5 players, and 5 ninjas. If possible, I would go for a ratio cap. For example, for every 5 people on a team, only 1 can be a ninja, and any others who try to become a ninja are disallowed from doing so (except maybe if they're MVP/VIP).

    This could go for any class. I think the four main classes can have no cap - but maybe only 2 per 7 can be assassins, 1 per 4 can be mage, 1 per 3 for chemist, I don't know. I'm just throwing numbers. If the staff actually decide to implement this, they can be the experts. The idea is that myself and many others often find themselves in unbalanced games, often unfair.

    Just some things to consider.

    This wouldn't be very fair to the veterans who have either paid real money or spent hours earning credits to get classes. As well as this, there isn't really any good free classes for defence or recovery (which is an issue in itself). Soldier and heavy can be used, but they're not great especially considering soldier, heavy and medic are excellent capping classes. The game would favour offence a lot.

    This has been suggested a few times but is commonly shot down for a similar reason for above: it'd just be annoying for someone if they want to play as a certain class but can't because the cap has already been hit. Something similar to this was in headshot on McPvP, and whenever I wanted to play a certain class it was often taken, so I'd have to play another one. It got frustrating after a while.

    Which is fair enough, and these are the kind of responses I expected. About Main Monday, even just a few hours in the afternoon (in a variant of USA time) for this. It might be unfair, but it is only a little bit of time, and it gives us a chance to see what a game like this would be like. And about offence being favored.. Well, that would just make recovering more tactical, wouldn't it?

    And also on the caps, that was just a random idea. While I understand it is far from possible just because it would cause so many complaints, I just wanted to throw it out there because I didn't know if anybody else had. It's just because it is frustrating to people like me who only specialize in 1-3 classes, all weak to ninjas/assassins, so it's hard to capture or even kill.

    Basically all of my thoughts were already mentioned above. Limiting classes in any way for those who spent a lot of time and effort ingame earning those classes is particularly unfair. I doubt anyone would be happy playing to earn classes for a long time, then being told that one day of the week they can't play that class, or that they can't play that class if other people on their team are playing it.

    To your first idea:
    ^This, and I think that Archers and Soldiers would absolutely dominate the gameplay.

    I don't think so. The games would result into eternal stalemates with Soldiers holding flags while being healed by medics. Archers would try to headshot to recov, but there would be noone to actually revover the flag, and over and over.

    To the second one, MCPVP's Headshot had a similar thing, and what ended up happening was new people playing the classes while regulars (to be fair, I don't think Headshot had that many regulars...) had to play something else. It was very annoying.

    Edit: Just realized I basically said everything @SoCool21 said on the second idea. Oh well.

    Instead of an alternative to Free Class Friday; why not just remove Free Friday all together? It would be really helpful in preventing loads of lag and instead of being able to enjoy classes that the new players want to enjoy, it would give them, and the veterans a really hard time because of the amount of lag. I mean no one will be able to enjoy at all because of the lag, so yeah, I suggest removing Free Friday all together, or at least reducing the time it lasts.

    freeday friday acted in the past as a sort of "try before you buy". Now in the post EULA brawl, it has slightly less of a point. I think there's still reason in doing something because you're spending credits on classes, and given how long it could take a new player to get those 30,000 (not everyone can get ridiculous amounts of kills and caps in a couple hours) it's fairly likely it'll take quite some time to collect them all. The freeday allows you to test which class you'd like to use your credits on first. With that said, there are other options available other than a freeday (which causes horrible lag). In short I can see why it exists, but there's a number of other ways this could be done

    I don't think it should exist, I know some people (not pointing fingers xd please dont take wrong way) would find it annoying to see their own main class being used wrongly by a noob ;-; I've seen people flame at then, it gets very ugly
