    My laptop decided to do a COMPlETE system reset just now.
    It's stuck in an infinite loop of trying and giving me error messages. F**k.

    Erm...the error I have is that my laptop has decided to get rid of the Windows Boot Manager, so I'll need to boot off a disk. Second thing is, it's wiped all my data but gives me the following error: "An error occured while restoring to factory default settings."

    Ok so that gets rid of 2 of my thoughts(overheating and a broken motherboard) this basically leads me to believe that Windows is corrupt and will most likely need a full reinstall, which I'm not too sure how to do on a laptop. You can contact your laptop maker and ask about possible options.

    I've played a Windows version onto a USB stick and am going to be able to use it to boot then.
