Black lives matter

Ugh, there are so many things wrong with both sides of the arguments here. Not gonna take the time to point out all the flaws, because it's past midnight for me and I'm on a phone. :V

@nimai108 hard data can be argued with and there is always some form of bias or limitation in every study.

@SquishyCalvin the margin of the statistics showing that poor blacks commit less crimes than poor whites is so minor, it is at a glance statistically insignificant.

@MrCowlick and @SquishyCalvin your arguments would be far more convincing if you actually went about countering your opponent's argument in a civil manner. Failing to counter an argument legitimately, instead personally attacking the argue-er gives you a lot less credence and is overall distasteful to read.

That's beside the point.

I'm not going to respect someone who deliberately tries to push a right wing point of view (see videos, several of which are from a Breitbart clown, who just happens to be white) on a thread that has a freaking 'Question' tag on it. If it's distasteful for you to read then that's your deal but it's pretty damn distasteful for me (as it should be for anyone) to read 'arguments' based on nothing but racism and the presumption that black people commit more crimes and more violence (proportionally for population size) and make up 38% of inmates at state prisons because (presumably) that's just how black culture works.

Does this kind of argument call for respect?

 

The entire movement is disingenuous and has been from the very beginning.

They manipulate and outright lie about statics.

They promote racism ( believe it or not, actively hating on white people because they're white is racist.)

They're violent as all hell, which does absolutely nothing to fight the stereotypes they allegedly fight to disprove and instead only prove them correct.

They seem to outright ignore the biggest population of black people who are in trouble, which is in motherfukkin' Africa. They're fighting for rights they have had for years, and demand for unfair treatment in their favour (equity) in a country where equality has been achieved to the point where a President who is black was elected Twice, and a country where people are chosen to work for their merits waaay more than they are for their race (equality).

They claim to exist to fight against racism in society, but don't seem to realize that the best way to help black people is to kill ghetto culture instead of promoting and embracing it. The biggest threat to black people in America is black people in America, as gang killings kill vastly more black people than cops ever have or ever will.

And worst of all:

They're entitled, ignorant, overblown, privileged, pedantic, arrogant, petty, childish, spoiled, university educated brats.

I'm sorry, u w0t?
Black people commit more crimes because of poverty... but poor black people have lower crime rates than white people?
Care to explain that?

Racism may be a problem in the U.S.A, which I legitimately do not think is as bad a problem as SocJus types seem to think, but the Black Lives Matter movement is the stupidest way any of these people could have possibly attempted to champion their cause.

Get the picture here? There is so much bullsh*t coming from BLM that the whole movement has been tainted and should be considered a terroristic temper tantrum.

In fact, it's wrong to say it's been tainted, if those tweets from the founder are any indication.

Honestly it's a giant loop. Even though the percentage is low, and not all of black people being confronted by cops get harassed it's all black people getting harassed. But then again there's a percentage of them not obeying whatever the cop says, which should you should obey no matter the case (with exceptions of course).
