    CTF Teams - Restrictions​
    (This thread is basically for reference, there was not yet a thread for restrictions aside from the update post & we felt one was needed.)

    What is a restriction?:
    A restriction is NOT a strike, it is a ban from the match server and CTF events for the duration of it. Restrictions are for members of CTF teams who are caught hacking or using illegal modifications on their accounts.

    How they will work:
    When player X gets banned, they will receive a restriction from the match server, including but not limited to, matches, ppms, and events. The first one will be one month, with the second being two. The restrictions can stack in the case of two accounts getting banned at the same time/before the first one is unrestricted. These will be removed if the ban is appealed (A bought unban WILL NOT remove the restriction). On the second restriction, if the first one has been removed via a ban appeal, it will be 1 month again. This will apply to alternate accounts, and anyone caught alting to avoid a restriction will be punished. (Note: The restriction will be lifted during the appeal process in case it is a false ban.)

    Will this benefit players who have been striked/banned for hacking on the match server?

    Define "benefit". None of this will retroactively apply, this will only count for bans administered after the post.

    I believe it works like, whenever your ban comes in place, the restriction is set. During the appeal process, you are still restricted from playing anything until you have either bought an unban, or your BAN appeal was accepted, so your ban was lifted. A restriction cannot be appealed like a regular strike, and will only come off until player X is unbanned. Or whenever the time the restriction was for has passed. Think of it as, you're banned and because of that you can't alt to play. If I was banned right now on my account JayOG, and I tried playing on my alt Eoned for BK, I wouldn't be able too since I would be banned/restricted from going on the match server. Don't quote me on this idk if its right

    Correct, until the appeal is decided on, the restriction will not be in place.

    If you're hacking on the match server, it'll be a strike b/c you're hacking in a match. If it's in a casual game, just a restriction.
