Mandatory Match Rules

Below are the standard rules mandatory in each match. More rules may be added when organising a match, but the following are compulsory.


1. Dwarf is disabled.

• Dwarf is not currently seen as fit for official matches.

2. No abusing glitches

• Block glitching, item glitching and abuse of anything that is clearly not intentional is included under here.
• Pearling out of a Mage's ice spell as ninja is considered a glitch. Example.
• Additionally, pearling into Mage's ice spell is prohibited.

3. No excessive ranged spam (flint, spell, flash bombs, arrows, etc.).

• Mage spell spam - Continuous spell fire down a tunnel that would present a gameplay issue (2x1 tunnel or special cases), or continuous spell fire at the flagpost will be considered spell spam. Spell spam also applies when you are excessively using spells with no visible player in the area. Example 1. Example 2.
• Archer arrow spam - Arrows being shot rapidly down/into a condensed area that presents a gameplay issue is considered arrow spam. An example would be the stairway up to spawn on Skyworlds I.

4. Uphold good sportsmanship

• General common sense. Uphold brawl chat rules and you should be good to go!

5. Any spectators in a match may not message the players anything associated with the gameplay.

• Self explanatory. As a spectator you may not assist either team in any way.
• Spectators may not use /a once the match has started.

6. Capture removals

• Breaking limits and/or rules to obtain a capture will result in an immediate removal.
• Having choppy connection leading to a player capturing the flag in a way that is not fair to another team. Note: The referee will have the final say in this matter due to its subjective nature, however the decision will be announced within 1 minute of game time.

7. Discord/Communication outages

• In the rare event a team's voice communication is restricted, the decision will be left up to the teams playing in the match. The teams can either agree to continue to play the match as is, or pause briefly for a maximum of 10 minutes for teams to find a second form of communication to use. After this 10 minute period, the game will resume.

8. Upholding MMR

• The penalty for breaching any of the rules listed above will be met with a warning from the referee.
• If the same player has a second infraction, they will be removed from the match and the affected team will be permitted to bring in a substitute player.
• Example: Foodcourt flag-burns on map one, then bowspams on map two. After the bowspam warning, Foodcourt will be removed from the match.
