Would You Play a Brawl Game that Uses 1.9+ Attack Cooldowns?

  1. Yes - I want to see a full-on 1.12 pvp game

  2. Yes - But only if they alter some features (shields, axes, regen, etc.)

  3. No - But I'd play a game that uses other 1.9+ features

  4. No - 1.8 only

    The post? Or a little server? 'Cause I saw the post about CTF vanilla, but if you made a server for it, I'd love to see how it works.

    I do have a temp server for it, but if I can't get it up I can give you the functions instead (1.12 is hype). not gonna post IP here because rules. @Grenzo

    There doesn't really seem to be a purpose to add edit a game mode specifically for 1.12. Especially when the majority of players prefer not to play 1.12. So if you don't mind me asking, why are you so adamant about adding a specific 1.12 version? Wouldn't it be much easier for everyone if you just played 1.8-1.9?

    It doesn't matter what the majority does - if there is even a significant minority, it would be good for the server to recognize it (see gun-based games). I am adamant about adding a 1.12 game because I don't want to play 1.8 games anymore and I have yet to find a good 1.12 game. What would you do if you had no 1.8 games to play on any server you joined?

    No, I don't think it's possible to have one gamemode be 1.12 while the rest is 1.8. This kind of thing tends to be an entire server transfer. Who knows, it may be possible, but I've never seen it done.

    Cubecraft has a few 1.8 gamemodes despite others being 1.9+

    Badlion had a 1.9 only game.

    Basically you just have a hub server that accepts all versions and the game-specific servers that are version-restricted.

    I dislike the combat mechanics/updates/changes of 1.9+. Sure, we could disable the cooldown but it's nowhere near as smooth as 1.8 combat, which (in my opinion) isn't as smooth as 1.7.

    @TheZombieKat I'm not suggesting to update the server, so I don't know why you're bringing up "disabling the cooldown". The point is to add a new game to Brawl that would use 1.9+ mechanics for those who like them.

    An @ mention is to mention a person to get their attention - a quote is to point out a specific statement of a person you are responding to - only necessary if there's a few pages between the you and the text you're responding to, or if you want to single out a specific part of someone's comment.

    It would mainly depend if I actually knew what the game was and if it was something I have played before. But, I most likely not play it since I hate the 1.12 PVP techincs.
