[Official] BK vs TC by @Proterozoic

The Black Knights and The Crusaders have had a great number of official matches in the past (usually ending up with The Black Knights on top). Some have been close, others total wipe-outs. One thing is always definite, they're always entertaining. As such, I was very excited to see these 2 teams were one again going to have a rematch. The Crusaders have been performing extremely well recently, and it would be interesting to see if they could overcome their rivals. They certainly weren't going easy on them, bringing powerful players like @ArcticGalaxy and @junebugulas. Not to be beaten, The Black Knights also brought some of their top tier regulars like @Unifier and @epeek. The stage was definitely set for an interesting match.

First map was the choice of The black knights, who went with their regular, metro. This map didn't suits The Crusader's powerful soldier offense, being close quarter. From the get-go, they struggled to keep pace with the Black Knights. Although a few good attempts were made, their offense was unusually uncoordinated as it tried to enter the flagroom. As a result, multiple attempts ended in quick failure as the power defensive players out-matched them in PVP. The Crusader defence held up better. Ultimately however, the Black Knight's expert knowledge of the map, combined with coordinated offense and defence lead to a fast 3-0 in their favour. The Crusader's hopes of victory had taken a serious knock, though could still be achieved.

The second map, the choice of the Crusaders, was blackout. This definitely suited their soldier offense much better, especially with the Black Knight's lack of a dedicated archer. This meant one of their PVPers had to stand in as an archer instead. Despite this, The Black knights fought hard and managed to make the first capture in less than 5 minutes, damaging Crusader hopes of victory even more. Things were however about to make a dramatic U turn. At first it was rather, and it took until 2 caps for each team for the Crusaders to really start dominating. With a new lease of life (and strong coordination) they managed to overcome the Black Knight's powerful defence and capture 3 further times. This lead to a final score of the second map 5-2 in favour of the Crusaders. This both tied up the match in both maps and caps, and meaning that all was to play for on the third and final deciding map.

This third deciding map was agreed to be the original Valley of ruin. This suited both teams with a defensive flagroom and open areas for the benefit of soldiers. The Crusaders, fueled by their high morale after pulling the game back to even, capitalised by giving it their all. The Black knights fought hard, and managed to steal multiple times. However, it was clear the Crusaders held the upper hand throughout the game, capturing the flag twice without reaction. It was towards the dying moments of the map that things became more interesting. Both teams managed to successfully steal, leading to a stalemate between the 2 teams. Historically, the black knights have won these stalemates vs the Crusaders. However, today was not one of those days, and despite best efforts, not only did they fail to recover, but also managed to drop their stolen flag. This allowed the Crusaders to capture a third time just seconds before the end of the match. This lead to a final score of 3-0 in favour of The Crusaders. This meant the match also ended 2-1 in their favour.

By winning this match, not only did TC cause an upset, but also proved just how far they've come in the past few months. They have considerably upped their game, and I look forward to seeing just how far they could go in the near future. The player of this match was selected to be @ArcticGalaxy. Usually we at MSW tend to avoid choosing those players that captured flagged as support tends to be even more vital leading up to those captures. However, arctic not only carried the flag extremely well, but often times without support against an entire defence until such support could be found. I look forward to the next time the black knights and the crusaders clash, especially if @ArcticGalaxy is one of the players involved!

    Final Scores:
    3-0 BK (Metro)
    5-2 TC (Blackout)
    3-0 TC (Valley of Ruins)

    Overall: The Crusaders Win!

[Official] DF vs TC by @Cardona360

This is a matchup we've seen quite a few times through the past few months. Both teams show great rosters, boasting defensive and offensive powerhouses such as Rabious, linkcookie, junebugulas, and ArcticGalaxy. TC has had amazing performance recently, obtaining victories against Defiance, The Adventurer, and The Black Knights. It'll be interesting to see how TC matches up to DF this time.

The match starts of with DF's pick of Opposites Collide V, a map that DF has proven to be strong on (winning against the likes of TT and RR). 3 minutes in, xAshes manages a steal as medic, webbing the entire recovery and heading up top. The threat of being assassinated by Krazygam causes her to block, allowing recovery to catch up and crit Ash out (her support died prior to steal). DF steals as well, but the pyro wasn't killed and link dies to frenzy while heading up. A minute later, link gets a very nice steal and goes up. Kevshadowslayer has an opportunity to cut him off, but link uses the terrain to his advantage and uses kev's attacks as a boost. ArcticGalaxy gets a steal, but heads up right into DF offense. She dies and link gets DF's first capture. As more offensive waves go by, both teams do a great job at defending and making sure steals don't get far. However, kev gets a chemist steal and heads under. He manages to vanquish wintergreen3, defensive ninja, which is major for him. He's ahead of all the DF recovery at this point. A ninja comes to support him, and although a medic never arrives, kev gets the capture for TC. Arctic manages a steal later on and somehow jukes DF defense and goes under. Winter is able to use eggs to stall her out very well, allowing recovery to catch up and recover. Meanwhile, link is up top and far out; support arrives soon and he gets the cap. Later, link steals again; he has a medic on him to even out critical hits from enemy heavies and finds his way up top. Link goes under for a more secure route and soon meets up with the recently killed medic, making a final capture and ending the map in 3-1 DF.

The next map is Blackout; while this is TC's main map, DF shows to do rather well on it. Arctic grabs the flag, but doesn't get anywhere due to waiting for a medic. This allows for a clean steal by Swit, who climbs the back wall; however, DF has a ninja on top to knock her down into defense, allowing for recovery. Cupcaik steals and goes far side, but there is opposition from the pyro (ghenry) and a ninja on top of the bridge. Both fall down while cup is stalling, allowing her to climb over and freely run. TC tries to steal, but DF defense doesn't allow it, leading to DF's first cap of the map. TC's offense consists of 3 soldiers, which has potential to be dangerous. This is shown when they all attack DF's flagroom at once. This push manages to be successful, seeing how Swit gets out and attempts to run down mid. She carefully position herself, but damage starts to rack up and she doesn't get farther than climbing up mid. TC soldiers are already back in the area, and another steal occurs. DF manages to fend off the soldiers, for now. DF is having better luck with steals; cupcaik gets out and goes far side with support. Kev headshots, but DF chemist, Jennypoo, picks up. A ninja arrives a bit too late for the pickup, and Jenna gets the pass through the iron bars onto cup. Swit gets a clutch steal and goes far side. She's able to stay alive despite DF ninjas and mage relentlessly attacking. On 5 hearts, she gets a medic and a stalemate begins. After a bit, TC sends double soldiers to force cup out of the flagroom. Kev manages to get the headshot and the invisible Laurilicious gets the recovery. Link tries for a clutch steal, but kev is already back and headshots him. This gives TC their first cap on Blackout. Link gets a good steal, but TC keeps up with him. KingScrub achieves a clean assassinate at the bridge; had he not been there, DF most likely would've captured. Another offensive wave goes by, and link gets a clean steal due to pyro misfire. Swit also gets a steal, handing off very nicely to zengjp. DF does eventually recover though, allowing DF to cap again. TC soldiers, although stealing, are repeatedly being knocked into the void thanks to defensive soldiers/ninjas. Swit gets a steal and climbs the wall leading to xxxxdead instead of the back wall. She is being attacked by Rabious and a ninja, but she manages to pull through despite being deprived of a full restore. She gets across the map and captures despite DF's effort to clutch steal. A few minutes go by and link gets a good steal. He heads up mid and gets temporary support from Jenna. He drops down and with kev out of range, he secures another cap. Later, Arctic gets a clean steal and goes mid. There's a ton of damage coming from soldiers coming onto her, but she gets through them and TC gets a 3rd cap. Cupcaik gets a good counter steal, but is confronted by soldiers at the bridge. Arctic gets a steal; she was originally trying to head down mid, but Krazygorilla's lightning spell forces her in a different direction. Arc does die, but Swit gets an amazing steal and goes down mid. DF also steals, but Jenna is chemist with junebugulas on her tail. She runs far side and eventually dies, but TC doesn't pick up. Cupcaik picks it up and gets over the bridge, leading to another stalemate. Kev pulls off a headshot, and the flag is picked up by Rentokage as medic. Ren dies, but KingScrub isn't able to recover. Jenna picks up as chemist, making DF's situation a tough one. KingScrub eventually assassinates Jenna and recovers. Rabious is able to steal and get across the map, resetting the stalemate. Winter switches to elf to help fend off lev and any ninjas. Kev does get the headshot due to winter's shield running out. Winter does pick up, but is immediately headshot, allowing Arc to swoop in and recover. Swit takes caution while navigating to the flagroom, and captures for TC. Time is running out; Rabious steals and stalls effectively for the medic. TC steals a couple of times just to hold the flag for the remaining minute. It works, and the map ends 4-3 TC.

The final map is Valley of Ruin Original. TC is using 5 soldiers, 3 for offense and 2 for defense. The first 8 minutes go by with steals that don't get anywhere. Link gets a steal and heads out the front entrance. He's boosted across the river, giving him the upper hand. He climbs halfway up the mountain and runs, kev's arrows barely missing him. Link meets up with support and captures for DF. Link gets out again shortly after; Spartan kills the assassin as link makes his way across the river and behind the trees for protection. He gets another capture, as the TC offense is nowhere in sight. Link and Swit both get out, and Swit gets lightning spelled in the right direction; but pedruu arrives as ninja to finish her off. Link once again safely makes it across the map and gets the game ending cap.

Overall, this match was excellent. There's obvious improvement from TC, being able to beat DF on Blackout. All of those soldiers, how does one handle it. Kev pulled off some amazing headshots to end stalemates. Exceptional job by all of TC and DF offense!

    Final Scores:
    3-1 DF (Opposites Collide V)
    4-3 TC (Blackout)
    3-0 DF (Valley of Ruins)

    Overall: Delta Force Wins!

[Official] Water Taste + The Adventurer vs The Blue Flaggers + Defiance by anonymous :3

The match starts with Metro, a very defense friendly map. Both teams get early steals, but however, with the powerful heavy based defense, neither team gets very far. Kashyyyk steals as soldier, just escaping the flag room, yet the Watventurer defense catches up and he dies just outside. On the other side of the map, LeUniCow steals as chemist, running straight down mid, with no Bluefiance recovery in sight. LeUniCow secures the first capture of the game. This capture is followed by a quick burst of steals by both teams, however none make it outside the flagroom. A few minutes later the Watventurer offense enters the flagroom, allowing Kashyyyk to steal as soldier. Making it out of the flagroom, he runs down middle with his support. Bluefiance makes an attempt to steal, but because the Watventure defense is too strong, they lose the flag, ensuring a capture for Kashyyyk. With the maps tied, both teams try and push their offense. mynemachine gets out as heavy, instantly receiving support from a chemist. The BlueFiance recovery catches up, forcing mynemachine to run down the middle heading towards his spawn. The attempted recovery boosts mynemachine forward, allowing him to get a capture for Watventurer. With 6 minutes left, it seems that red has the advantage, until bofbofbofbof steals the flag as heavy. Running down the tunnels, he swiftly gets the heal, however he is headshot by kamil302. Unfortunately for Watventurer, another heavy picks it up and ties the maps again. The score remains this way throughout the last minutes of the map.

Following Metro is Opposites Collide V. With both teams doing very well on Metro, another close game is expected. The game begins, and the Watventurer offense rushes the Bluefiance defense. Multiple steals are made, however none manage to escape the blue side. Kashyyyk steals the flag as a chemist, running up the middle stairs and arriving to the top area of the map. With the Watventurer recovery behind him, Kashyyyk captures, putting Bluefiance in the lead with a 1 cap advantage. A few minutes later, both teams get steals which escape the flagroom. Bofbofbofbof, carrying the flag for Bluefiance as a soldier, takes the top. mynemachine, a medic takes the bottom part of the map. Both carriers have a lack of support, and take damage from the opposing team’s recovery. Unfortunately for Watventurer, mynemachine dies, allowing Bluefiance to recover the flag. Meanwhile, bofbofbofbof is waiting on a tree for a medic. With no medic in sight, he takes the sponge to the front entrance of the flagroom. Bofbofbofbof dies from flag poison, and Resurgens picks up the flag, capturing, turning the score into a 2-0 for Bluefiance. A few offense waves later, JayOG steals the red flag as medic, taking the sponge up to the top of the map. Unfortunately, gukada catches up to him as ninja and he dies. More offense attempts are made on both sides, however neither is successful. With a good distraction from the Bluefiance offense, bofbofbofbof manages to get out as a heavy, while LeUniCow gets out as medic and passes to mynemachine, a heavy. The last 4 minutes consist of both teams trying to recover, however neither manage to succeed. The map ends as 2-0 for Bluefiance.

The third map is Valley of Ruin Original, a fairly balanced map for both defense and offense. The game begins and both teams get steals, neither successful. The game carries on like this with both teams unable to capture, ending in a 2-2 2-0 0-0 game. BlueFiance wins of captures due to their 2-0 win on Opposites Collide V.

    Final Scores:
    2-2 Tie (Metro)
    2-0 T
BF + Defy (Opposites Collide V)
    0-0 Tie (Valley of Ruins)

Overall: The Blue Flaggers + Defiance Wins!

[Official] Water Taste + The Adventurer vs The Blue Flaggers + Defiance
After Match Interview with @Invidus by @Godman

Godman How did you guys feel after the win against WT + ADV?

resurgens We felt accomplished I guess I mean not only is that a win but WT and ADV are really good even if we did have Defy on our side we knew it would be a challenge from the beginning so we're glad we managed to pull off the win.

godman Which player was the most frustrating in terms of defense?

resurgens To me specifically I would say gukada he's a really good ninja and pvper.

godman What could've helped TBF + Defy to make the match quicker for them?

resurgens I think our off should have been better and more organized.

godman Would TBF like another co op with Defiance but against different teams?

resurgens Yes people on Defy are really cool and nice and really good as well

    godman Thanks for the interview.

    resurgens You’re welcome.
