CTF Autumn Update 2019

    :sun: CTF Autumn Update :sun:
    Hello everyone!

    After testing a first rework of Necro a bit ago, we're now presenting the final product of the highly anticipated Necro Rework! We also have a few smaller changes in store for you.

    Brand New Necro
    First of all, thank you for giving feedback on the previous version we tested in October! We have heavily tweaked the abilities after considering your reactions, as you will see below.

    Owners of the previous necro class keep access to it and won't have to unlock it again. In case you had a custom weapon name or stat tracking enabled on one of the items that have been removed, you will be refunded a new key as soon as you log in. See your keys in /keys.

    The new necro will also come with brand new achievements to complete! You can see all achievements in-game using /av ctf

    Armor:

    • Remains the same: Iron - Gold - Iron - Iron

    Items:

    • Necro Sword (Golden Sword)
      • Sharpness II
    • 4 Steak
    • Cryptic Skull (Wither Skull)
      • Click to fire a wither skull
      • Explodes on block collision (4 block effect radius)
        • Effects for teammates within explosion: Absorption I, up to II (30s)
        • Effects for zombie teammates within explosion: Speed II (5s)
        • Effects for enemies within explosion: Wither III (5s)
      • You start with 1 skull, 1 kill = 1 skull, 3 max at once, no medic restore
      • A thrown skull returns to you after 20s
    • Revival Tag (Name Tag)
      • Click a teammate to apply the tag
      • If they die within 10s of activation, they will be revived
      • Players with an active revival tag have a slime/gold block aura around them
      • Upon revival, the revived player can't be hit for 500ms
      • Cooldown of 20s, no medic restore

    Passive Abilities:

    • Can see health of teammates and enemies

    Zombie Players:

    • Die while having an active revival tag applied to you to respawn as a zombie
    • Anyone with any class can become a zombie
    • Wear a zombie head or a zombie banner
    • Can steal and pick up the flag. Since the banner replaces the zombie head, the banner appears with a special zombie design (see spoiler below)
    • Permanent Weakness II
    • Maximum health remains at 10 hearts
    • Steak turns into Rotten Flesh and only heals half
    • Hearts turn black (caused by wither effect, no damage from it however)
    • Can be 'brought back to life' with a medic restore

    Reduced Flag Pickup Delay
    After multiple rounds of testing with different values, we have settled at 200ms for the new flag pickup delay (previously 500ms). Ninja remains the same at 1.5s.

    Scout Price Updates
    If you are in the CTF Community Discord you probably you know this, but allow me to put this here again for the record: Scout is now available for 75k credits in-game! The price will be lowered again around Christmas. Join the Discord if you don't want to miss out on any updates!

    Other Changes
    The following changes have been made before this update, but to have them in one place:
    • MMR Update: Item respawn/obstructing spawn/medic teaming rules removed
    • Pre-game timer decreased to 30s
    • Fixed bug causing stats to carry over to the next game
    • Soldier's tag achievement reward was changed from Trooper to Valiant (@FR3SHPR1NCE)
    Clans Announcement
    Stay tuned for Clans! They will drop some time in the next few weeks, along with some other updates

    Christmas Map Rotation
    As every year in the cold season, we will have an updated rotation with festive maps! You can still submit your own map reskins until December 6th here. Happy Building!

    Quite strong on defence, I was able to get near 3k on blackout without being in combat that much at all. However, with that being said, I don't think it should be nerfed. I really like the work that has been done to Necro here.

    I think the passive skull regen is a bug(?) but I really hope it'll be kept this way. It makes necro much more enjoyable to play since you don't need to rely on kill-farming just to use one of its main abilities.
