    Ultimate Showdown
    MSW Tournament Special by Gamren
With the state of the tournament, teams are currently now starting to lock in their places. With recent booming success, TC has gained their spot to the semi-finals as number two of group B, making them B2. Showing strong dominance, BK gained number 1 in group B. Meanwhile in group A, Defiance surprised us all with their new roster, synergy, and all around teamwork, allowing them to gain the well deserved position of A1. What about A2?

Well, in-fact, two teams are asking the same question: Annihilation and The Adventurer. Both teams with wacky strategies, they will definitely surprise you with cunning map picks, top tier rosters, and amazing plays. Their last meeting in the tournament resulted in the match going to Map 5, and end in an overtime with no winner. With that set, their paths were destined to meet once again, to prove who deserves to move on in the tournament.

In the game, Annihilation was able to get off to a retaliative lead, gaining two map wins in a row. Against all odds, ADV muscled back by brute force and showed us why the game is truly never over. Many questions are now rising up though.... Who will take that valued A2 spot, guaranteeing them a spot in the semi-finals, and a match against BK to move on. ADV and Anni matches have almost always seemingly been neck and neck in the past, although sometimes varying, show us the definition of teamwork, creativity, and overall clutchness. As soon as you see this match planned, put it in your calendar, because it sure as hell is going to be a good match.

We will be getting back into this SoonTM. For now, enoy this quality interview with @Godman, by @Godman .

Special Prematch Interview WT vs TBF with Godman by Godman

[IMG] - How does WT feel about going against TBF after they just defeated Unity?

[IMG] - Right now the team is feeling pretty confident about themselves and feels prepared to face TBF.

[IMG] - How will WT handle TBF’s ability to use Soldier on offense?

[IMG] - TBF’s ability of using soldier reminds me of how SE used to use it, so we will make sure our defense does good against them.

[IMG] - Has the team prepared to go against TBF?

[IMG] - Right now we are trying to get our players to play as much as they can, so when we face TBF they can feel ready. We will be having a practice on Saturday in preparation as well.

[IMG] - Final question, What matches can we expect in the future?

[IMG] - Unity, I am very excited to face them and so is the team, we’ll see how that goes.

[IMG] - Alright thank you for the interview Godman.

    [IMG] - No problem Godman.

    [Official]TNSE vs TC by @Proterozoic

This has been a long awaited rematch. The forerunner to TNSE, Solar Eclipse was famous for using soldiers on blackout, and so when TC beat TNSE last time, it was only a matter of time before they’d strike back. This was only made more exciting a prospect with TNSE’s recent new additions, who could potentially make a huge difference to the outcome of a face off. TNSE clearly wanted to show some of these off as @Dan_7777777 and @Trego_7777777 both showed up for the match. With that said, TC did bring some of their heavyweights in response, such as @ArcticGalaxy and @Quarrelt.

Things were turned up to 11 on the very first map, blackout. Blackout, though a TC staple definitely benefitted TNSE’s soldier based offense as well. Both teams held strong for the entire match, with good plays and recovery from both sides. However, TNSE kept the upper hand for the entire match, with 2 successful captures before TC achieved one. TC seemed unusually disorganised, and it showed as blackout is a map they usually dominate. They did fire back, capturing themselves, but conceded a third capture to TNSE before ending the first map 3-1 in their favour. Things weren’t looking good for them heading into the second round, as blackout was their map choice!

TNSE’s map pick for round 2 was valley of ruin, which similarly benefitted a soldier offense, although was more defensive in nature. TC definitely managed to come back this map. Despite fierce opposition, TC did manage to secure a capture, and successfully steal again. Unfortunately for them, TNSE managed to also steal, bringing the game to a stalemate. This persisted until the timer ran out, leaving the map a 1-0 victory for TC. This brought the maps equal, but TNSE still had an advantage in they had 1 extra capture going into the third and final map.

The final map was agreed to be Platforms I, and not surprisingly soldier oriented. Things started to fall apart for TNSE as a player had to leave. They decided to try and stall out the match by turtling. Unfortunately for them this tactic ultimately failed as 14 minutes in, TC successfully managed to cap. Seeing that the plan wasn’t working, TNSE tried more offensive tactics once again but TC held strong. TC made numerous other steals in the remaining minutes, but nothing significant. Eventually, the timer ran out, bringing the score 1-0 in TCs favour. Although the dreams drew on captures, the maps were 2-1 in favour of TC, meaning that they had won. Although a valiant defensive effort, the turtling tactic had cost TNSE the game by a narrow margin.

It was decided that player of the match was @xWesleyy for successfully managing to capture vs the turtling TNSE defense, although massive credit must also be given to @Nlog_88 for impressive recoveries against TC throughout the entire match (especially those 14 minutes!). Despite losing, the game was much more in favour of TNSE and it’ll be very interesting to see if they can actually win the next time these 2 teams face off against each other!

    Final Scores:
    Blackout: 3-1 TNSE
    Skyworlds I: 1-0 TC
    Platforms I: 1-0 TC
    Player of the Game: @xWesleyy

    [Tournament]Unity vs BK by @IdunoU

    Prematch interview with @Unifier
Godman- Does BK feel it’ll be a close game since both teams will bring their best roster?

Unifier- We are feeling very confident about this upcoming match, I have a lot of faith in my boys and I believe we will make the best out of it and get that win for us.

Godman- How is BK feeling about Unity right now?

Unifier- Well we aren’t worried, and I’d dare to say we are quite sure about our future victory against them. I think it’s very unlikely for us to lose, “that’s what you said before in the previous match with them LUL”, especially since we are sending all our pingers and pvp’ers.

Godman- Did the team prepare to face against Unity?

Unifier- I wouldn’t say we prepared for this, but the team does feel prepared to go up against Unity again.
The Black Knights 2.0 versus Unity was predicted to be a good match. Although BK was favored, they definitely couldn’t underestimate Unity. BK came out with a powerhouse roster consisting of @Misplacement, @JacobeLeJaune, @LeDoener, and @ningeek212. Unity likewise had a strong roster consisting of @8BitCyber, @CYBERBULLYAZOL, @Participated, and @sportyman56. The big question was: would BK blow away Unity with their strong roster, or will Unity bring the fight to BK and make it a close match.

Map one started on Valley of Ruin Original. Definitely favoring the archers and the defense, but that didn’t stop BK. Unity’s ninjas, @Participated and @sportyman56, both immediately targeted @ningeek212’s medic to try and kill him before they could get to Unity’s flag. BK’s whole offense was able to get into the flag room, @KrizOG stole the flag but a great frenzy by @XxX_NootNoot_XxX was able to stop the push in its tracks. Great roaming defense by Unity’s ninjas and BK’s heavy and soldier combo slowed both offenses down. With BK’s offense alive, they stormed the flag room, killing the defense and a nice steal by @KrizOG was able to get on the mountain top, jump down to get a medic, and great headshots by @Lightsareout was able to secure the first cap of the game for BK. Immediately after the cap @JacobeLeJaune was able to sneak into Unity’s flag room and get across to @ningeek212 for the heals to cap again for BK in just over a minute. An elf steal by @JacobeLeJaune was able to get halfway across the map but was ninja recovered by @sportyman56. A soldier steal by @Insomniac__ was able to get on the mountain with four steak while BK attempted to steal but @Eoned was met by the pyro at the flag room entrance, leading to the recover and Unity’s first capture just after the halfway mark. Quick steal by @Misplacement lead him to jump into the river where he was completely vulnerable and an easy recover by Unity. Seconds later, @KrizOG got a sneaky steal with soldier, when he popped out of the stairs, @Ulku missed a crucial assassination that would’ve gotten the recover but @KrizOG was able to take the flag across the map, get the heal from @ningeek212, and get the final capture of the map, making the score 3-1 in BK’s favor with just under 8 minutes left in the map.

Map two: Metro, BK’s favored map. On BK’s first push, @ningeek212 was able to get a sneaky steal and get across the map and a dangerous handoff to @JacobeLeJaune, BK was able to cap in the first two minutes. BK’s offense gets another quick cap with @KrizOG giving BK a 2-0 in just under three minutes. On BK’s third push, @JacobeLeJaune switched to archer and stole late in the fight in Unity’s flag room. Unity’s ninjas attempted to recover but with the support of @ningeek212, BK was able to get the archer cap and end Metro in a 3-0 in just over 4 minutes.

With Unity’s backs against the wall, they needed to beat BK in the agreed and the two random maps. Agreed pick was Skyworlds I, another archer favored map, with @Lightsareout subbing in for BK. @Insomniac__ gets a steal off BK and makes it on the top tower, but BK blocks the spawn sponge and with low health, BK was able to recover. BK’s offense decides to bring out a new strat, as they come up from the underground, they sneak behind Unity’s flag. Unfortunately they were spotted out by the ninja and they rushed into Unity’s flag room with @Misplacement stealing the flag and launching out through the spawn sponge getting BK the first capture of the map. Unity finds @ningeek212 at their flag and he was able to steal handoff to @Misplacement and he took it across the map but a great recover was able to keep Unity alive. With back and forth steals, both teams were not able to cap with one close cap for Unity, until @JacobeLeJaune switched to assassin offense, @ningeek212 stole the flag and was able to hand off to @Misplacement underground for the capture. Right after, @KrizOG steals and as he gets into the flag room, @Insomniac__ gets a steal and gets out, leading to a stalemate. With 40 seconds left, @JacobLeJaune gets an assassin recover and the game ends with 36 seconds remaining, with BK winning Skyworlds I with 3-0 in caps. BK won the match with 9-1 in caps and 3-0 in maps, showing that they were the dominant team in this showdown. Player of the game goes to @JacobeLeJaune for amazing performances on offense and overall great plays.

    Interview with @Azol by @Godman

Godman- After a tough match against BK, how does the team personally feel about the outcome of the match?

Azol- They're not disappointed I'd say that. Instead, I feel like they are happy so they can improve for the future

Godman- That's good, how did it feel to combo one of BK's strongest players LeDoener?

Azol- Wasn't anything to brag about. I wouldn't say I'm not the worst at pvp but not the best. After all, I came from mineplex I played pvp classes instead of archer. Just a lucky combo I would say....

Godman- What do you think the team can do better next time when facing BK?

Azol- Honestly, I think we needed better communication mainly on offense but we still played the best we could with our circumstances. Overall, I think I was the main reason why we lost. I played terribly and didn't really focus much on the objective. Slayway also played really good which lowkey triggered me so congrats to him.

Godman- Final question, How does the team feel about the upcoming coop?

Azol- They're feeling quite strong about it I'd say. Everyone that is playing are all good at what they do and I hope they win. I wish I could've said bye or sorry before I left but I wish they do their best and win!

[Tournament] ADV vs Defy by @Chhimichanga

    Prematch interview with Hallopiu

Godman- So first question my dude, How is ADV feeling about going up against Defiance?

Hallopiu- I think we're all pretty optimistic right now. If there is any team we know best, it's Defiance, they are probably the #1 team we had most matches with. As always we're both playing with very strong rosters but we'll see how it turns out ;P

Godman- Has the team been preparing to go up against Defiance?

Hallopiu- Not really, the last practice we had was around 2 weeks ago lul. However, our amazing strategy guys Crazy_CTF and gukada worked out a strategy that will hopefully work out.

Godman- When considering about strong players on Defiance who is ADV’s biggest worry?

Hallopiu- There's a few. Definitely Z_Hobo and patriq. Also, irol and scape are both extremely underrated but op.

Godman- Alright so final question, will ADV be expecting Defiance to bring their 100%? Especially since you guys had a lot of matches against them.

Hallopiu- Every team has their up's and down's, but looking at their roster for the match, that will be a hard one.

Another great tourney match, between the teams from Group A, Defy and ADV. Both team rosters were very strong and were very intense matches all around. The agreed map pick, Blackout, demonstrated how dangerous well positioned archers can be. @Proterozoic and @freerider14 both had amazing recovery shots! And assassin proves to be...well, useful for everything! (@Lumpi456) Both teams played exceptionally well on each map with very close and drawn out matches.

The first map was Defy's pick, Opposites Collide V. There are no archers being used on each team, which is seemingly common for this map. Both Defy and ADV offense get a steal and a stalemate is in order within the first 3 minutes of the game! After a few attempts to recover from both teams, Defy wins this stalemate. A few great steals by ADV but are held back by Defy's formidable ninjas (@ROFLBOY & @TheTitaniumTitan). By then Jul13n is able to steal and cap, Defy leading, 2-0. By now, ADV alters their defensive lineup. Which pays off, Defy offense has a few more great steals but is recovered by the upgraded ADV defense. @Z_Hobo and @Jul13n tank in ADV's flagroom as heavies and gets the 3rd cap for Defy, 3-0 against ADV on Opposites Collide V.

2nd map is Airlock Rework, ADV's map. No players were subbed in or out. Overall, the game was drawn out, neither teams capping for the first 10 minutes. Both teams were forced to send in more offense. Finally, @Maddiq sneaks out as soldier and gets the 1st cap of the map for Defy. @irol had great assassinates the whole match! ADV offense gets out with the flag and is able to cap, now being able to tie up the map. Then another cap for Defy by @Maddiq and @patriq who passes it off very nicely! Both teams were constantly stealing but Defy wins the map, 2-1.

For the 3rd map, Blackout as agreed. Defy subbed in @Proterozoic as archer who made some very impressive headshot recovers, as did @freerider14. Both archers took defensive positions, not challenging each other very often. Defy defense does exceptionally well, most of them just roaming. ADV then leading the map, 1-0. ADV continuing to get great steals but is shut down by ninjas and the archer. Defy then gets a greats cap as soldier. Tying up the map, 1-1. Also @Prank proves to be very useful as mage, getting a lot of damage in to ADV's offense before they get to the flag. @Lumpi456 gets a great steal as assassin and is able to pass it off but is of course, shut down by Defy's archer. Overall, the map ended 4-2 in Defy's favor. Both teams played a very entertaining match.
    Final scores:
    Opposites collide V: 3-0 Defy
    Airlock Rework: 2-1 Defy
    Blackout: 4-2 Defy
    Overall: 3-0 Defy
    Player of the Match: Z_hobo
The map scores were 3-0 Defy, 2-1 Defy, and 4-2 Defy. Defy with the overall win!

After Match Interview ADV vs Defy with @Proterozoic by @Godman
Godman- After playing against ADV, how does it feel to beat a team who recently tied against Annihilation?

Proterozoic- I've always held ADV in high regard. They're not a team to make a lot of noise, but they're definitely very good players. The fact they managed to tie with ADV recently proves that, and so to be able to say that we beat them is a great feeling. I'm really happy my team managed to pull through, and I'm also really pleased ADV put up a strong opposition as well.

Godman- For ADV, Free did pretty good as archer, did Defiance give into any frustration during that process?

Proterozoic- Blackout's definitely a map where an archer can do a lot of damage. We didn't really pressure free when we should have and as a result he was "free" to headshot our offense. I was dealing with their offense, so I never really got a proper chance to 1v1 him, let alone put pressure on him. He definitely stopped us a number of times and we'd have done better if we had done something about that. With that said, it was such a good match that nobody was really frustrated about anything, we were too busy having fun!

Godman- Does Defiance feel more confident about their next tournament match since they have proved once again, that they are worthy of winning the tournament?

Proterozoic- I know I personally like to take each match as it comes. I think we have a shot at winning the tournament, but of course there are a number of teams we have to fight, and they're also really good. I think to have gotten this far is great, I'd love to get further, and I'm confident we have the ability to do it, but the last thing I want to do is underestimate the opposition. They're great too!

Godman- If ADV asks for a rematch will Defiance expect them to do better than what they did today?

Proterozoic- ADV played a really great game today, with a number of amazing plays. I care about having fun, so I don't mind if ADV tries their absolute hardest, craziest or even easiest, as long as both teams get to have some fun playing against each other. If they do exactly what they did today in a rematch, it would be every bit as fun then as well!

Godman- Ok final question, is Defiance feeling prepared (as of now) to go up against TC, or will there need to be more planning involved?

Proterozoic- The last time Defiance fought TC, we won, but that doesn't mean we'll be taking them lightly. TC have been getting really good recently, and underestimating them at this stage in the tournament could mean we lose. With that said, I think we'll be ready for them when we face off in the tournament, we'll definitely have a plan!

    [Official]TBF vs Unity by @Proterozoic

Now that TBF are back they’re not wasting any time organising matches. TNSE not long since and now Unity this week. TBF haven’t always had the most successful record on the team scene, but the players have certainly been improving over the last few months. With that said, Unity had also been working hard to improve, and so this match could have gone either way. Both of the teams clearly knew this too, as they brought out some of their strongest players, notably @Snowbreak for TBF and @eeyore6 for Unity.

First map was Unity’s pick, who went with blackout. Being a team with multiple soldier mains, Unity could benefit from the offensive bias and soldier routes. Unity fought hard to capture using this advantage, but TBF held strong. @ACE_BLUE2 put up a good fight, dominating the Unity archer and pressuring Unity’s offense and suppressing their ability to capture. TBFs own offense performed much better, with @Snowbreak in particular stealing multiple times with easily. This, coupled with Unity’s lack of pyro main lead to a 5-2 win for TBF, despite valiant efforts to fend them off.

The second map was the choice of The Blue Flaggers, who went with Skyworlds I. Much like blackout, the map benefitted soldiers, although on this map archers were even more dominating. @ACE_BLUE2 continued to dominate the Unity archer and offense, making it difficult for them to capture. Unity held much better defensively this round due to the defensive bias, preventing multiple captures from happening. With that said 2 were still let through. Things began to look up as a capture was finally made and another flag stolen. TBF however managed to steal Unity’s flag themselves, bringing the game to a stalemate until the timer finally ran out. The final score for the map 2-1 for TBF, giving them both the map and the match.

Due to him dominating Unity offense for the entire game it’s no surprise that the player of the match was decided as @ACE_BLUE2. TBF does take the victory, although not a contested one. Unity still managed 3 captures against them and did suffer from the lack of important mains such as Pyro and Archer. It will be interesting to see how well they’ll do if they are able to use mains of these 2 classes in their next face off with TBF!

    Final Scores:
    Blackout: 5-2 TBF
    Skyworlds I: 2-1 TBF

    Overall: 2-0 TBF

    Player of the Match: ACE_BLUE2

    Interview with @Snowbreak
Godman- How does TBF feel about defeating Unity?

Snowbreak- Well as you may know TBF has just recently become official and it's great for us to be able to take down a well established team, no matter the circumstances. Unity definitely put up a good fight and it was a great match, and now we're looking to the future and will continue to try to improve as a team overall.

Godman- Alright, how does the team feel about ACE_BLUE2's performance on archer?

Snowbreak- We're all very happy to have such a great archer in the likes of Ace on the team, and we tried to pick a map around that, Skyworlds, where he could really impact the game. In our recent matches he's really dominated the role, going somewhere around 50-5 against TNSE and then in the Unity match around the same performance.

Godman- He has improved, I remember him when he first joined CTF, What does the team feel like they need to improve on for their next match?

Snowbreak- Overall we want to keep improving in all fronts, as a team we practice a every week, and that definitely helps our performance as one. We've gotten a lot of new members recently and need to work with them on coordination and overall playing, and that will happen over time.

Godman- Final question, Are there any matches we can look forward to in the future?

Snowbreak- Well we always update the thread with upcoming matches, and one we as a team are looking forward to is against Water Taste. We've been able to show what we can do in recent matches however they are the other new team this month and it'll be interesting to see what they can pull off.

    [Official]DF vs Defy by @Snowleak14
Delta Force vs Defiance, Player of the Game: Web... Suntail all friendly banter \o/

    Game 1: Blackout

The match started off with DF's pick, blackout. DF was struggling to get enough players for the match, but eventually they managed to wake @ReubenS from his slumber to play with them. He joined DF's offense with @Suntail, @linkcookie and @obikenobi21. On Defy's side the offense consisted of @Maddiq, @Jul13n, @Z_Hobo and @patriq. The odd one out here being @Jul13n, who instead of his usual chemist, was playing mage. He managed to freeze the pyro, resulting a steal for @Z_Hobo. This was straight away the highlight of his mage play, as for the remainder of the game he had little impact. @Z_Hobo nearly got to the edge of the map, but @gamren assassinated him. After this DF got 3 consecutive steals, but neither of them got anywhere. Both teams were having trouble getting past each other defences, especially @thgstarburst who seemed to have a 100% success ratio in killing defiance members named @Maddiq. This lasted until @Z_Hobo managed to steal as heavy. Because of his support he managed to get to middle of the map until the DF recovery, which consisted of various classes including a melee archer running along for moral support, caught up with him and recovered.

5 minutes in @ReubenS stole as medic and even though Defy tried to stop him, he managed to get away by placing some good webs, stopping most of Defy's recovery in their tracks. He managed to get on the sides and pass the flag to @linkcookie. At the same time @Maddiq got a nice steal and got out pretty untouched. The resulting stalemate lasted only a short amount of time, as DF left @linkcookie on his own which gave @Prank and @ROFLBOY an opportunity to create R rated minecraft and kill @linkcookie. @Maddiq got the first cap of the game for Defy. Defy did not manage to hold this lead really long. Within a minute after their cap, @Suntail created a top quality distraction which gave the @linkcookie the ability to steal untouched, run across the map (somewhat) untouched and he capped (lets say 50%) untouched. After 3 minutes without any important events, @linkcookie managed to get another steal. He definitely did not get out clean. After a couple of seconds where he desperately tried to get some support from his team all he found was @Rabious , another soldier. @linkcookie tried to drop the flag to @Rabious. @Rabious didn't realize this, making @linkcookie reconsider his decision to not have a mic, missed the flag and and this resulted in an (un)fortunate recover for Defy.

With 19 minutes remaining DF subbed in @cupcaik_ to replace @ReubenS. 1 minute later DF decided to sub out the American Optulence for @ReubenS. Trying to confuse the enemy with secret subbing tactics, they instead confused themself and @Maddiq stole the flag while @Z_Hobo was distracting the defense. She managed to get across the map pretty clean. @gamren came close to recovering close to the flagpost, but in the chaos he did not manage to get the recovery. In the resulting chaos @Rabious managed to get a sneaky steal and he got easily back to his own flag with support from his team. Once again the score was equal, now 2-2. After this @linkcookie decided it was time to start playing with two hands so he would be able to steak. He stole the flag and at the same time @Maddiq stole DF's flag. She got quickly cut off by DF's recovery, which gave @linkcookie the chance to for the first time this match put DF in the lead, 3-2. A couple of seconds after he capped, he somehow stole again. @irol came close to killing him as @linkcookie did not see him and wasn't blocking. Unlucky for @irol, he was out of redstone, creating a funny looking moment. Once his redstone was back up, he tried to go for the kill, he came close, but not close enough. @Spexon_O1 managed to kill @linkcookie, but he was attoseconds too late.

DF, now leading with 4-2, were looking to finish this game. After a nice distraction by @Suntail, @linkcookie got another steal. He managed to get to the sides, but he got knocked into the void by @ROFLBOY, who somehow fused mage lightning with his sword. After this @ReubenS again got a nice medic steal. This time he failed in webbing everyone, so they managed to catch up with him and kill him. He did manage to draw away all of Defy's defence, so @linkcookie got a free steal and ran it down mid. Defy's used everything they had to try and stop him, but @linkcookie was already too far gone. He got the 5th and final cap of the game, giving DF the 5-2 victory. Defy definitely made it a challenge for DF, but they weren't able to keep up when DF increased the pace.

    Game 2: Opposites Collide V5

The second match was Defy's usual pick, Opposites Collide V5. They must have forgot that this is also one of DF's favourite maps. DF was probably quite happy to play this map. @Prank decided to play mage this game instead of @Jul13n. He did the same strategy as against TT, playing defensive mage, which uhh did not really work out. It was probably just a practice round. @Z_Hobo once again managed to get the first steal and @Suntail stole the flag seconds later on the other side. Both flagcarriers had little to no support so neither of them got quite far. @Suntail could maybe have reached his support, but a top quality web from @Jul13n stopped him in his trail and caused his death. Because the first few minutes of the match were rather slow, the most exciting thing that was going on was a dicussion whether @Suntail was a fake @Kip01 or a pokemon. But he was a @duskippy afterall. The reason that not much was happening was the result of both defences playing really well and not letting offence get steals.

Eventually @Suntail managed to get an impressive steal, surviving frenzy and ninjas as chemist, and he got managed to get really far. But once again an equally impressive web from @Jul13n stopped him and @Suntail got critted to death. The next attempt of DF was more organised. @linkcookie stole the flag and he and @ReubenS managed to get away. Going a favourite route of @linkcookie, @ReubenS stopped the @Spexon_O1 with more good webs. With 4 recovers still chasing @linkcookie, this cap was far from given. Instead of recovering 1/2 defy's recovery decided to improve the kdr of the lava, which put DF in the lead with 1-0. @Suntail determined to make this 2-0 stole and got to the bottom of the map. Once again he lost to a web. In DF's next organised attempt @obikenobi21 and @Suntail provided a good distraction which eventually allowed @ReubenS to steal as medic. He webbed all of the surviving defence of Defy. With nobody able to give chase in time, this resulted in a 2-0 lead for DF.

@Maddiq tried to do something back for Defy, but she did not manage to get to the top of the tunnel before getting deleted. At the same time @pedruu seemed to have gotten bored with being defense and he decided to join offense. He stole the flag on his first attempt. Unfortunately for him he ran into Defy's offence which gave time for @irol to catch up and kill him. 13 minutes in Defiance got their best capping attempt in the match when @Deyne stole the flag and started running and running and more running. He decided to not take the sponge, a major mistake. His support couldn't stay up with him, but DF's recovery could and they send him back to his spawn. With 5 minutes remaining, @pedruu walked into Defy's flagroom and casually took the flag. @Haise started chasing him as medic and managed to web him, but as @pedruu is not @Suntail he decided to not die to the web. @Haise kept chasing and gave it his all, but he did not get him, letting @pedruu end the game with the third and last capture.

Even though both teams played really well, eventually Delta Force showed that they were the stronger team. Whereas on blackout, even though the score was 5-2, it was really close, on Opposites Collide V5 Defiance were not able to deal with the continuous offensive waves of Delta Force. Defiance definitely did show that they are not a team to be underestimated and Delta Force showed what they are known for.

    [Official]TT vs Defy by gamren

    Prematch interview with @Snowleak14

Godman- How is TT feeling about facing Defiance since they just won a tournament match against ADV?

Snowleak14- Last time we played Adventurer (Although Hallopiu wasn't around for them, which probably would have made a difference) we beat them fairly easily and Defiance was at times struggling to beat ADV. It has been a while since we played Defiance but last time we did also defeat them without conceding a cap. I do think that Defiance has improved since then.

Godman- Is the team prepared to face Defiance?

Snowleak14- Are they prepared to face us and Delta Force back to back? But yes, I do think we are prepared to face Defiance. Even though they looked really strong in recent matches, we intend to stop their winning streak

Godman- What players will the TT offense have to worry about when considering Defainces' defense?

Snowleak14- Probably have to watch out for their pyro and maybe Z_Hobo if they put him on defense.

Godman- Final question, any matches we could look forward to in the future?

Snowleak14- Uhm, I am not representative anymore, so I don't really organize them (usually). As for myself I would like to play Unity or BK 2.0 as we never played them. But those are not planned :frowning:

Godman- Two very good teams, should be interesting thank you for the interview Snowleak.

Just a quick note before we hop in, this article was last minute due to there not being a writer, so the quality may be poor/short. I apologize in advance to the teams and readers, and hope to never encounter this problem again as the MSW team expands their staffing team.

Hopping right in-game, map 1 was Defiance's common pick of Opposites Collide 5. Showing dominance on it in the tournament and overall matches, you could consider this their stomping ground. There was one problem though.... The team they were facing was TT. Backed by hyper-active PvPers Forums and Trenny, TT was able to steadily hold off the enemy offense. Encountering a similar problem though, TT's offense seemed to have quite a hard time being able to capture against the well prepared Defiance. Ultimately, TT pulled through 2-0, possibly setting a grim atmosphere for Defiance as we moved onto TT's turf: Pagodas.

TT started off strong. With lag issues from Defiance's archer, @Proterozoic , offensive archer @b0squet was able to take a strong position to support his offense and clear out the Defiance defense. Offering support as well, b0s contributed greatly as he skillfully hit shot after shot inside of the Defiance flagroom. With many other strong factors backing them up, TT was able to gain a relatively clean 3-0 over Defiance on Pagodas, sealing the win 5-0 to The Templars.
