How in the hell do you Mage?

The trick is not missing your snowball. One you hit it you just lightning them when they're encased in ice, then fireball the second they get out so it wont miss. Damage spells until snowball is off cooldown, then repeat. That's it. That is mage. Just don't miss snowball.

 

omg mage has an incredibly high skill curb if you want to play it objectively there are 3 simple rules i remember when playing mage objectively, look right at the person or infront of them it doesnt matter and right click, make sure 2 spam thunder snow balls n damage cuz fire doesnt do much, and heal if ur missing 4 hearts.

If you suck at mage then all yo need to do to git gud is to learn how to aim.
After that spam the damage spell and you win.

my 43 mage ks came from support/defense on blackout. i tried to stay out the way of people and once they got in combat and got lowered or i could just lightning them away and take the kill for myself. it's a bit cheap but it works.

my technique was kinda like what tenshi said, i just damage spell spam and lightning them if they get close. i'd only use fire spell on soldiers/heavies.

Mage is easy zzy just try it for a couple of days and you'll get the hang of it. Pick on weaker classes at first, and remember to always keep your distance. Flame to slow, freeze to stop, and lightning is your last defense. Other than that its just left click and down arrow key to win!

The most key part of mage when facing regulars is prediction. You need to predict where the enemy will move and shift your aim based on that. If you do that, no one can do anything against you as the constant knockback will keep them away while you move backwards, and your other spells will compliment that even more.

Here's how you kill as a mage.

Hold down left click on the damage spell... even when you're halfway from the battle and have no enemies in sight.

Occasionally throw a fireball at somebody. If they're getting too close, ice them, run away, then turn around and spam your damage spell.

Also, when your teammates are all around you, and could use a healing potion or even the heal spell, never use it. Unless you're running from somebody or feel like setting them on fire, never ever let go of your damage spell.

Remember, if you can deal assloads of damage with a limited cooldown and a range that's farther than any classes other than archer, while simultaniously filling the game up with lag-inducing particles, do it. I mean, what else is mage for if not spam?
