Notice Board​

Please do not ask MSW members for permission to spectate matches. We cannot speak for other reps and their wishes, so please ask both reps BEFORE matches. Referee consent will also be in play at all times if they wish. MSW can issue guest passes to those that wish to help out with things like commentating and related, but these passes are highly limited and will only be handed out to those that will add on to the quality of content covered by MSW. Passes are affected by the blacklist, referee preference, and refs/teams consent.

Team leaders/reps, you can always limit the amount of spectators that are in your matches if you wish. If you are bothered by the amount of spectators coming into your matches, then please feel free to pm your match referee and any concerns to gamren or MSW leaders/representatives. All we ask is that you may be thoughtful and fair if you do request to limit spectator numbers accordingly. Your match referee can also control the amount of spectators allowed.

Unity vs BK

Grudge Match by gamren​

With the tournament only heating up as teams start to lock in their place, some teams are still facing great challenges to try and reserve their ticket to the elimination segment of the tournament. For example, Unity needs to not only beat BK, but then gain the advantage in a 3 way tie (if they do beat BK that is) afterwards. With many challenges in the way, Unity is definitely a force to be reckoned as not only do they have the will to do so, but they have the roster to back it up. But the one thing in their way is a team looking for revenge for dealing them a loss at the begging of their return; The Black Knights. One of the tournament favorites going into the tournament, BK has been able to defeat TC and TNSE in their group. Their last opponent stands in the way of a valuable Seed 1 in the semis for BK. Not only this, but emotions have stacked up with recent events of roster changes, feelings of needing revenge of BK, and who knows else what. Will Unity be able to show their consistency and take down BK once again, or will the now powerhouse known as BK seek their revenge? Take a look at some interviews leading into the exciting match, occurring tomorrow at 2pm EST. The match will also be best of 5, so it can't get more hype than this.

Spoiler: Interview with JayOG - BK Member

Gamren- Recently we have witnessed a bit of shade between BK and Unity. For example, Unity has blacklisted all of BK from spectating their matches. What sparked this grudge/what some even consider a rivalry dating back to the first BK vs Unity.

Jay- Well, I was told before I joined this great team of the burger king squad, there was already this rivalry. Which you stated above, and I was glad I was able to get into all that. I would like to say, even if we haven't prepared as much, we are pretty confident about winning this match. Also, exactly before the match, we will be having a scrim against ADV that was posted on the SpreadSheet.

Gamren- How do you think this rivalry will affect the game in general, for example sportsmanship, and do you think it will continue afterwards?

Jay- Oh man, hopefully it doesn't turn into a flame war. As you saw in Unity's recent match. Sportyman wasn't the greatest with sportsmanship. This is just a warning that I'm pretty sure if something like that happens to us, we will be roasting mans back to MI. But honestly, I will try to make sure that doesn't happen, as I have mentioned to other people. With our roster right now, we might have the chance to act cocky. But I have said that would only bring negative attention which is not needed, since you know, BK is BK afterall

Gamren- Haha, I personally can't wait since I get to ref the match. Finally, what made you leave Defiance for BK?


Jay- I was always interested in joining BK. Like don't get me wrong, Scape is my bro and I love playing with him. But the same with many other teams. It was that point where it didn't feel the same. Like if you saw my matches when I was first with them, I played more often with Scape and Hobo on offence. Sadly, the recent banning on my man Creux and #FREEMY*****EVAN, really brought a big problem in the defence. And sadly, I was the next best thing in the team that would defend similarly to how they played. I have always been put in defense :/ and it got boring I guess. But the same day I left Defy, I had a dispute with the mans from Unity himself. Which I admit, was pretty much useless and childish of myself. I just had a thing of anger in myself, so I decided without thinking. But I forsure will stay with BK till the end! Like have you seen me and Epic on defense? Like thats tryhard right there. My man Raging is also a legend. But honestly, #LOVEBK

Gamren- Alright, nice to see that you are enjoying your time in BK. Thank you for the interview, and good luck in the match!

Spoiler: Interview with Daniellll - Unity member

Proterozoic - So first of all, good luck for the match vs BK this weekend, are you guys feeling confident?

Daniellll - In my opinion, us going against BK is something pretty special, both teams are pretty strong! It will probably be a pretty big task to win! I won't say we are very confident but we aren't super scared either!

Proterozoic - Of course, it's no easy feat to beat any team. Have you been preparing for the match?

Daniellll - We have not practiced yet for this match, but we have of course been having other matches which you could also see as a practice! This friday we will have a practice for the match though! I'm hyped to have some fun fighting against my teammates c;.

Proterozoic - Hopefully the practice will be worth it How do you feel about the random maps, Beaver Creek and Lighthouse?

Daniellll - I am not really quite sure, Beaver Creek is known for being.... you know.. weird? it's just nothing to compare with most maps. Lighthouse.. mhm... Lighthouse has been removed this Map Wave so I also think this isn't the greatest map. I don't think the random maps will be too much of a problem, both teams will have as much of a hard time on it, right? haha it'll be funny to see how it goes.

Proterozoic - Well, I'm sure you can overcome the unusual set maps. Moving on to BK, are there any players you're particularly worried about?


Daniellll - Man, that's a hard question! BK is full of some pretty damn good people! I don't really have anyone in mind at the moment (not knowing their roster for the match), but I do known Ningeek is a pretty fricking amazing medic! I do think all of their members are great in their own aspect.

Proterozoic - ok, so next question, there's been quite a lot of hype about the match, especially between the two teams themselves. Do you think the match will live up to the hype?

Daniellll - I do think it'll be a nice match, the only thing which I dislike is how our opposing team has been putting so much shade on us. I just hope people will not get mad at us or them at the end of the match.

Proterozoic - Well, hopefully things will stay civil. Final question, after the match with BK, are there any teams you yourself would particularly like to fight?

Daniellll - There's no real team I wouldn't like to face to be honest, I would like to fight WaterTaste though, they seem like a fresh (no pun at all) team and it would be fun fighting them!

Proterozoic - That sounds like it would be a really good match. Thanks for taking the time to talk to us today Daniell!

The Prophecy​

We here at MSW like to pretend to be professionals, and what would fake professionals be without match predictions. Our analysts are locked in a basement and forced to calculate match results the best of the best, and try to offer predictions based off of rosters, map possibilities, recent matches, and more. Here are the predictions for next week!

Predicting Unity vs BK Tourney Match

@CoasterHamza - BK wins by winning the first 3 maps

@gamren - I'm personally looking forward to this one. Unity definitely shouldn't be underestimated here. Although losing to TC, keep in mind BK has had their weak moments against TC as well. With the right roster, Unity will give BK hell. I really don't think the map metro is benefiting BK as much as they think of it, as usually against a well coordinated team they can usually only clinch 1 capture. With VoR I can see a Unity win if Azol, the Unity archer, is on his A game. Metro a win for BK. Skyworlds will be a toss up. In my opinion BK is pretty back and fourth on this map, while Unity can show dominance on it. I think this will be a tie, or at least an advantage to Unity. Ultimately in the end I think BK will win, but Unity surely will bring the fight to them.

Match of the Week #11 - [Official] TBF vs TNSE

With this being TBF’s first match back, a lot of people, including myself, were hyped to see the results. The rosters were pretty even with TNSE’s roster including both new members and original members, while TBF’s includes a standard roster consisting of mainly original TBF members. Some of TNSE’s key players include Cardona, Amber, and Nlog while TBF has Ace, Snowbreak, and Drago. Amber and Ace both have demonstrated how much impact archers have in the game in other matches, so the 1v1s between them would be interesting to see.

Map 1 begins with TNSE’s pick, Skyworlds I. Starting off the game Ace wins the 1v1s against Amber, and is able to continuously headshot the TNSE offense. TNSE defense, however, were holding up really well. With the pyro, assassin, and ninja in the flagroom, TBF’s offense has a hard time stealing. Around 4 minutes into the game, Cardona is able to get a clean steal and get to mid. Unfortunately, he was headshotted by Ace, but 5ive was there to pick it up. 5ive, as chemist, was able to run to TNSE’s side of the map, and stall until everyone was taken care of. Once everyone was killed, 5ive captured making the score 1-0 to TNSE. 6 minutes later, Cardona is able to get a clean steal again, and takes the sponge to mid. He gets the medic, and Ace isn’t able to headshot making the score 2-0 in TNSE’s favor. With half of the first map done, Amber gets more into the game by doing a better job on headshotting TBF’s offense. TNSE’s defense is surprisingly doing well, that is until Drago is able to steal as soldier and take the spawn sponge to mid. As Drago got the medic, Cardona was able to steal and get out, but got assassinated, giving TBF the capture. The game ends with the score being 2-1 TNSE.

Next is TBF’s pick, Aurora. TBF has been practicing on this map, so the results would be interesting to see. 3 minutes into the map, Cardona was able to get out and get the medic. He made it to mid, but then was headshotted and recovered on. For the next 10 minutes, the game was controlled by the archers as Ace and Amber both were immensely doing work to the opposing offense. That is until Cardona is able to get a clean steal thanks to TNSE’s coordination. Cardona takes the sponge, which makes him out of headshot range of Ace, and is able to get the first capture of the map. If TNSE wins this, the game is over so TBF adds another offense. Now, Shawn is able to get out as soldier, but gets headshotted right as he was getting the medic. Meanwhile on TBF’s side, Cardona gets out and makes it to TNSE’s side, but gets frenzied. 4 minutes left, and TNSE are winning 1-0. Ace switched to heavy offense and makes it to TBF’s spawn, but dies due to all of TNSE’s recov. But right as Ace dies, Drago is able to get a clean steal as TNSE had no core defense. Drago makes it to TBF’s side of the map, and gets headshotted, but luckily Invidus is able to pick it up. Meanwhile Cardona gets out and makes it to TNSE’s side, leaving a standoff with 1 minute left. The minute passes by quickly and nobody is able to recover leaving the match to end in TNSE’s favor.

Hamza - Congrats on the win against TBF, n! What were your and TNSE's expectations for the TNSE match? What did you think the results would've been?

Nlog88 - I went into the TNSE vs TBF match pretty hyped so I was pretty ready for whatever happened. As for my teammates, from what I saw we were all hyped for the match. I thought the match would've been close sort of speak. You never know how a match could turn out cx

Hamza - Yes, that is a good point n, matches could always go either way. Looking at TBF's roster, was there any specific players TNSE were looking out for?

Nlog88 - From my knowledge, not that I was aware of. Well I know Ace can be a problem now. Since I mostly stayed back in the flag room, I didn't really look out for specific players. Just the class they played.

Hamza - That makes sense. Were there any times where you think you or TNSE could've done a better job on defense?

Nlog88 - Certain points I knew I could've done better, but we learn from experience. As for my team, I believe they did fine on defense.

Hamza - Yes, I always have moments like that aswell. What about offense? I know you were on dfense, but from the call do you think offense was coordinated and did well?

Nlog88 - From what I heard in the call for offense, they sounded pretty coordinated. They did good on coordination to me.

Hamza - Ok great! Thanks for letting me interview, and congrats again on the win! Final question: is there any specific thing you think TNSE should work on? Anything like better recovery or more coordinated offense?

No problem! Hm.. I would have to say for me it would be recovery and such. As for the rest of TNSE, it would probably be a mix of the two. It never hurts to make things better. Which ever two we may work on, we learn and improve as we play.

[Official] TTT vs TC by @Proterozoic

It’s been quite a while since TTT has had an official match, but this week they decided to play one vs TC. I was quite excited to see the TTT players play because they’re not the most active in game, and so this would add some variety to the week. Adding to the variety the game was best of 5 maps rather than the usual best of 3. Staples from both sides like @GengarSleep_ for TTT and @ArcticGalaxy for TC were present, so a good match was all but guaranteed!

The first map was blackout, the staple TC pick. TC definitely lived up to their reputation on this map, capturing the flag convincingly within the first few minutes despite not all of them choosing to play classes they mained. @ArcticGalaxy for example decided to play assassin! TTT tried their best to hold off the TC offense, and managed to put up a good fight defensively. Ultimately however, TC still dominated offensively leading to a 5-0 win in their favour.

The second map was TTTs who went with skyworlds I. This ended up being entertaining as the wrong map was chosen, leading to a reset of the maps so the correct skyworlds version could be played. TTT switched their archer to @NomNuggetNom who proved to be very effective in slowing down the TC offense. Despite this, TC still dominated the map, getting two captures. TTT managed to stall TC from getting a 3rd, but was unable to capture themselves, despite some rather close calls. This ended the map 2-0 in TCs favour, bringing the map count 2-0 to them. This meant that TTT had to draw or win the next map to stay in the game.

The third map was whiteout, a rework of blackout and so definitely fell in TCs favour. As with blackout they dominated both offensively and defensively. TTT fought hard to try and prevent TC from capturing but ultimately couldn’t stand up to the onslaught. TC managed to capture and win the map 5-0 with some impressive offensive plays, winning them the match. It’s hard to choose a particular player of the match for this game given everyone played well, not least on TCs part for not using their mains a lot of the time. I hope to see another match involving TTT in the near futurem and I’m definitely sure we’ll TC doing the same!

Hamza - Thank you for letting me interview you, N . Firstly, I would like to ask about tnse's confidence overall. How confident were you guys doing into the Unity match?

Nlog_88 - No problem Hamza . In my opinion, I believe we were pretty confident. But everyone's perspective is different.

Hamza - Yes, that is a good point n! What about preparation? I know you guys have been having practices but do you think those practices helped?(edited)

Nlog_88 - For preparation, to me it seemed to be fine, but certain parts could've been a bit better. Of course, that is just in my eyes. I believe the practices have been helping us improve though.

Hamza - Yeah that is true, there are always ways you and your team could improve. About your roster, do you think it was one of your strongest rosters? If the roster was to chance, do you think the game outcome would have changed?

Nlog_88 - Hm. The roster was pretty good. I haven't met every TNSE member yet so I can't personally say if it was the strongest. But if it was to change, the outcome would most likely have changed then how it did.

Hamza - Alright, n. It seems like during matches most people in tnse talk, which helps coordination a lot. Is it true that most tnse members talk? Do you think that if everyone talked, tnse would have a bigger advantage over unity?

Nlog_88 - That is true. A lot of TNSE members do talk. If everyone was to talk, then we might've had a bigger advantage. But not everyone is able to talk, which is understandable.

Hamza - Yeah, it is understandable. Final question: Even though you guys lost to unity, do you think this match benefited the team overall?

Nlog_88 - Definitely. Even with the lost, I believe it does benefit us. It lets us know what we could improve on. Even though we lost to Unity, we had fun just participating and playing the match.

Hamza - I agree, in the end it is all about fun. Thank you very much for letting me interview you n .

Group A​

ADV and Annihilation are now tied, but with a twist; If ADV can beat Defiance, then Annihilation is knocked out, with ADV gaining A1, and Defy A2. If ADV loses, Defiance will be guaranteed A1, and Anni/ADV will have to face up once again for a tie breaker.

Group B​

Unity still has one match, and that is against BK. Unity needs to win this, or else they will be knocked out. If Unity does indeed win, then there will be a three way tie. In the case of a BK win, BK will have gained B1, and TC B2.

MSW Invitational
MSW has created and set in motion a tournament for the community. The tournament leaves out the top 3 teams, allowing for a more fair and competitive/even ground competition. We will be planning a tournament for the other teams later. Meanwhile, the tournament will take place in January, and end around February/March. Read more Here!
