I am not trying to be rude, but this ^^^ is exactly what the problem is - you don't give a **** - And you said it yourself.

 

Just putting this out there to everyone;

The entire admin team knew about the issues involving the certain staff member me and Jayden were referring to. They did nothing. That's cool, Jayden and I resigned. We didn't makeup phony reasons for resigning or try to cause "unneeded controversy". There is a problem here (otherwise 2 SMods wouldn't have resigned), and it is perfectly fine for the community to say it needs to be fixed - even though at this point the staff member could probably get out of doing anything wrong.

 

Don't really think it's fair that everyone is just harassing roke when they don't even know the full story. Whatever has happened I think we should leave it to the staff team to decide, everyone has the freedom of speech but sometimes think about the words you want to say before you say them.

I didn't speak to you a lot or know you, but thankyou Jayden, I wish you luck in your future endeavours.

 

@BlueGuyARed, @JaydenChadd, you guys could've just asked to be demoted to Mod instead of resigning all together.

 

They still work have the same problem though coudlnt they if they are being 'stomped over' by a higher up staff. Again, I would just leave them to sort this out just because nobody knows the full story except the people involved.

 

Give someone power and they abuse it. Its like everything, real life situations with jobs.

Uhh, ehh, sorry for kinda taking this even more off-topic (or on-topic, whatever you want) but it just kinda reminded me of the Budokkan bull**** (which happened like two months before mcpvp shut down)
If you're not familiar with the situation: a lot of staff members left because hclewk and bbh promoted a rather arrogant, 'controversial' YouTuber without asking anyone else.

Anyway, the situation is not really comparable, beside the fact that many staff members are leaving because of what other staff members have done, but it just proves that something has to be done.
I already said it back then on MCPvP (thought I had screenshots of this once o.o) and will say it now again:
I honestly know pretty much nothing of any of the persons involved and would not like to judge them (since I'm mainly interested in CTF, and even there my activity decreased a lot over the last year) , but if (wait lemme count) about 4 to 6 persons which are or were part of the staff team had the same or similar experiences with this specific staff member while still being in completely different positions and having no reason whatsoever to 'team' up and 'witchhunt' another staff member, nobody can pretend nothing has happened.
Sure, some of the explanations made by the former staff members may have been worded poorly and made in anger, thus giving the opportunity to 'witchhunt' said staff member. But honestly, I haven't seen any statement of this staff member yet, which is, at least in my opinion, pretty bad. Because he's actually the only person directly involved in the whole debate which stands on the other side. And the 'witchhunt' won't end as long as this person or any other admin states his or her opinion. (Some may remember hclewk's post on mcpvp regarding budokkan for which he was criticised harshly, yet we got to know his side of the whole story. I think the situation would've been worse if there wasn't any statement at all back then though)

What saddens me isn't that some staff members don't get along that well, that's only natural and will happen from time to time. But if one staff member manages to piss off at least four others without other unaffected staff members trying to help the situation, idek man, that's just sad.

At least do something to let this not happen again? I'm not saying to demote anyone (acting so quickly would be retarded), but at least try to work out (internally) what went wrong. This doesn't seem to really have happened, judged by what Jayden said that he tried etc. so why tf do some people think that they don't have to act and kinda pretend nothing has happened ("idgaf about what you said")? If four persons had a problem with one other person, it's pretty much guaranteed that there will be other persons having problems with the same person again, but hey, not acting is the best thing to do, right?

Sorry for this long, kinda off-topic post.
It's always sad to see so many staff members go.

but okay, that's still kinda true, I know pretty much nothing about the whole situation.
Which still means that I know at least something. And the things I know are basically the same things (maybe a bit less) everybody else with a forum account could know, which is, compared to the persons involved, still pretty much nothing I think.
But at least I stated that I know almost nothing, compared to others just kinda blindly taking sides based on 'informations' which may have been nothing but rumours.

I can kinda admit that I worded and overall structured my whole wall of text poorly, idk, but tbh I'm tired (again, should really stop replying at such a late time smh) and still not a native English speaker.

But hey at least I know now what I can do better next time to prevent such detailed 'criticism' ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

xD, when you don't know the situation, and you say something you think is right.

 

I never really knew the administrators. All this that's going on is just a huge pipe of sh*t.

Why do we have SMODS who have spent over a year to earn their place in the staff membership as a senior mod, resign just because of 1 administrator who doesn't care about his staff who spend hours of their day working for FREE!

I haven't checked but I'm assuming roke has already read this.

It's not a shame for us though.
It's a shame for the staff team reacting the way like Signatured or Gehenna, who try to stop our freedom of speech.

It's a shame how Brawl works with criticism. And no - I am not just talking about this two resignations. What's about Jaet's or potatoepie's posts and suggestions how to make the staff system better? Ignored - and stomped.

It's a shame we get no other reaction than "stop insulting staff members" out of this, like they're a secret service - no information to anybody.
That's the shame here.

 

We're not trying to stop freedom of speech. We're trying to stop hate. You can voice your opinions all you want as long as they are constructive.

 

When an Admin is abusing his staff, what are you supposed to do? Thank him? Better yet, let's promote him to assistant Co-Owner
