    Tournament Semi-Final Special by @Proterozoic
The first ever MSW tournament is now beginning to draw to a close. Only 2 matches are left to be played, and only 2 teams remain with a chance of taking the top spot. The other 2 still left in the competition have to face each other for the right to 3rd place. With that said, all four of these fantastic teams have managed a great feat in even reaching this far in the competition. They’ve had to fight it out with 3 teams to even get through the qualifying rounds. That’s not an easy task given the level of skill we’ve seen demonstrated by all teams in the competition so far. These teams have managed to rise above the rest, and some have even managed to do it without losing a single game! All 4 of these teams should definitely be proud of what they’ve managed to accomplish, and I’m sure they’ll keep proving that as we move into the final two matches. I thought it would be a good idea to interview each of the four teams in reflection of their accomplishments, whether or not they were proud of their own achievements and if they thought they could have done better. I also thought it would be interesting to ask some of them what they’d like to see in the next tournament MSW organises!
    Interview with @xAshes by @Proterozoic
Proterozoic - Hi xAshes! It's great to see TC doing so well in the tournament! How does it feel to have done this well so far?

xAshes - We are somewhat disappointed at the semifinal loss especially since it was such a close game (**** you random map generator ;( ) but overall we're incredibly proud of how far we've gotten and we've had a lot of fun getting here

Proterozoic - I'm really glad! You've definitely worked hard to do so well (don't say mean things about my random map generator! She just likes to torture teams!). Do you feel that you've played your best in the matches so far?

xAshes - Yeah I'm really proud of my players they worked really hard not just in the tourney matches but in the weeks before each match as well with all the practices we had; maybe OC could have been a little better in the semi but considering we were using a very non standard roster for us I'm still pretty impressed.

Proterozoic - I'm sure everyone would agree. There have been some amazing (and skilled) players and strategies. However, we've also had our fair share of strange and entertaining moments too. What's been the funniest moment in the tournament for you?

xAshes - Honestly? Probably our practices leading up to matches. While they are taken semi seriously, our practices were also just a lot of jokes and being stuck in a call for 2-3 hours playing capture the flag. Also Arctic's primal noises anytime something happens to her in a match; that's always hilarious.

Proterozoic - I would honestly love to hear that sometime (quick shoutout to @ArcticGalaxy, send MSW a recording and I'll make sure it gets into the newsletter!). Are you looking forward to your final match vs Annihilation, and do you think you can win?

xAshes - Anni has always been an interesting fight for us so I'm both excited and quite nervous. I definitely have faith in my team though to do their best again so we'll just have to wait and see  No matter the outcome TC is incredibly proud of how far we've come.

Proterozoic - Well you certainly deserve to have done so well! Final question! Would you consider participating in another MSW tournament in the future, and what changes would you like to see in future tournaments?

xAshes - I'd definitely LOVE to see another tournament this has been so much fun & out of any tournament TC has particpated in this was definitely our favorite. I can't really think of any big changes that should be made; the tournament was very well designed so that the teams set it up as much as the planners did so everyone was pretty happy with it.

Proterozoic - Fantastic! Thanks for talking to us, and good luck with your final match!

    xAshes - No problem!

    Interview with @PhantomYoshi by @Godman
LordImmaCap - So first question, Annihilation has made it this far in the tournament and how does the team feel about that?

PhantomYoshi - It aint nuthin but certainly been fun, we've all pulled our weight n' surprised people. Our thugged-out asses had hopez of frontin first place but we'll happily take 3rd place.

LordImmaCap - About 3rd place, does the team feel confident about facing The Crusaders?

PhantomYoshi - Yes, while they a phat crew Anni has consistently bested dem up in recent straight-up legit n' unstraight-up legit matches.

LordImmaCap - Has this tournament been one of Annihilations best in terms of having to adjust to a new roster?

PhantomYoshi - We've had massive rosta chizzlez all all up in dis tournament which has made synergy kind of an issue, however right now I feel like we stronger than we done been all year. ******, dis aint no joke. TC will gotta pull an upset if they wanna deny our asses third place.

LordImmaCap - What's been the best part about this tournament?

PhantomYoshi - For me tha dopest part bout dis tournament has been tha competitizzle atmosphere, it straight-up make me wanna preform well (even tho sometimes execution is lackin xd). Comboin ADVs offense was pretty funk like a mutha*****.

LordImmaCap - Alright final question, would the team want to participate in future MSW tournaments?

PhantomYoshi - Without a thugged-out doubt. We've had a ****load of funk preparin fo' n' playin these tournament matches. Except next time we aint gonna settle fo' third place.

Can I just say this is the greatest interview I've ever had the pleasure to edit.
    Interview with @JayOG by @Proterozoic
Proterozoic - Hi there Jay. Firstly, congratulations on reaching the tournament finals! How does it feel to have made it this far?

JayOG - Well, this was my first tourney so I'm pretty hyped. BK has had it's moments in the past few months but we are ready to go up against a great team. Defy is not a team to be underestimated, and surely this will be a great match.

Proterozoic - That's great news, and I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your first major tournament too :grinning:. Do you think you've played your best?

JayOG - I haven't played my best in a while since I am more used to the Kit Brawl way of pvp, but I will try to warm up before the match. I think overall, I will try my best but one person can't win it all for one team! Hopefully this match will push me to see how well I can do, and push BK to see how well our teamwork has built up.

Proterozoic - Hopefully it'll also be a tense and entertaining final! What has been your favourite match of the tournament so far, and why?

JayOG - BK vs Anni, since it was probably the most important so far. We had some doubt about winning since some of our players arrived later than expected, but we pulled through.

Proterozoic - It was a very entertaining match! Tournaments aren't just about winning though, it's also about learning how to improve. Have you learned a lot from this tournament?

JayOG - I have learned a lot mostly about teamwork, and how to become more of a team player. I learned a lot of stuff, that it isn't just about yourself but the people around you. Having a team that works together is more important than having a team that knows just pure skill.

Proterozoic - Very true, and I'm glad the tournament did give you something to think about. Would you like to participate in another tournament organised by MSW?

JayOG - I would love to participate in another MSW tourney, they are well organized. Only problem I had with this one, is how the three top teams weren't able to play. I do understand why, I just feel bad they weren't allowed to participate. Other than that, it's been a great experience overall.

Proterozoic - I'm sure they'll be allowed to play next time around! Anything else you'd like to see included in the next MSW tournament?

JayOG - Like Miskey said, allowing different rules would be an interesting idea. Ninja caps, and Necro would be a good rule to add, of course only one ninja cap. This would save some time on games that would be extremely long. One thing I do love though is how it's 5 maps instead of 3. Really gives teams chances to comeback from difficult situations.

Proterozoic - Those are some really interesting ideas, maybe we'll see some of them next time! In the meantime, thanks for talking to us Jay, and good look with your final match!

    JayOG - Ty chaos :]

    Interview with @Jul13n by @Godman
LordImmaCap - So first question, Defiance has made it this far into the tournament, how does the team feel about this?

Jul13n - With the revamp, we knew we would be able to make it far. And having reached 3rd place in the last tourney, we set our goal to at least reach it again...and now we're aiming for 1st

LordImmaCap - How is Defiance feeling about facing BK in the finals?

Jul13n - Of course we know they're a great team and it'll be a great fight. We'll make sure of that and just try our best. xP

LordImmaCap - Has the team been concerned about BK's roster concerning the players lost?

Jul13n - We've both have had our fair share of loss, but regardless it won't change our mindset heading into the match. In all, as a team, they're really solid. But the right mindset is to start strong, have fun, and kick a$s

LordImmaCap - How is the team feeling about being in the finals for the first time?

Jul13n - Pretty pumped. xD This isn't a full CTF team tourney, but having played in all of our tourney matches, it's as if each team deserves the recognition at the top. PvP skill, game knowledge, and team coordination can only go so far, and where that ends, luck is the basis for the rest.

LordImmaCap - Were there a lot of frustrations during any match(es)?

Jul13n - OH yea. x'D Competition is easily toxic. But it's just a matter of keeping a level head with whatever gets thrown your way. Whether you think you did your best or not, you live and learn so you and the team as a whole is better for next time.

LordImmaCap - Yeah coming from past teams competition was big for me, final question do you guys plan on participating in future tournaments?

Jul13n - Most definitely! Tournaments are super fun and super competitive. After each match of this tourney I've said that that was the best and most intense match I've ever played. On top of that, they're also really fun to watch (#History with the Anni v ADV match lol).

LordImmaCap - Alright thanks for the interview

    Jul13n - Np!
Look forward to seeing these final 2 matches in the near future! Now that our finalists have been decided, I thought it was also time to once again bring together our MSW analysts to predict the final results of the tournament!

The final matches of the tournament draw ever closer, so let's see what our MSW think will happen!
Dragoarg7 - BK vs Defy: 3-1 Defy | TC vs Anni: 3-2 Anni

Defiance looked shaky during TC, but at the times it counter it was pretty easy for them. They do worse on soldier based maps, but still do better than BK in my opinion on them. BK can be super coordinated, but can be inconsistent. If they play with their best roster, it will be a battle but BK will end up with a few caps. Although with a slight mess up from BK, it can be bad, especially since I believe that LordCh4os/Azol are better archers than Slayway/Chimii, it will be a very exciting match up. I think both teams offense and defensive coordination are up, but pvp advantage to Defiance.

TC and Anni has different strengths. TC has amazing coordination, and with a combo of Arctic and Ash, their offense works well amazingly. Anni has a lot of player skill, Idunn on archer who can stand out, especially on Blackout, which is TC's map. With Phantom on defense, it will be hard to get in and out of the flagroom for TC, while if they do get out, the defense will rely on Idunn more times than not. Miskey can come in clutch all the time, with his trademark solo steals, and if he has the rest of his offense, they should have no trouble pulling off a few caps. If ghenry and Joker show up for TC, the offense of Anni will have trouble, with constant harass from henry, and Joker with about 1.5 headshots per rotation on archer OP maps. With Anni coordination, and Idunn putting enough pressure on Joker, I think Anni can squeeze a win out of TC, but not without a fight.

Kachow__: BK vs Defy: 3-2 BK | TC vs Anni: 3-2 TC

Snowleak14 - BK vs Defy: 3-2 BK | TC vs Anni: 3-1 Anni

HamzaMC - BK vs Defy: 3-1 Defy| TC vs Anni: 3-0 TC

So it seems our analysts are divided on the issue. Whatever the opinion, the results look close!

Match of the Week #18 - [Tournament] Defiance vs The Crusaders
3-0 Defy, 4-2 TC, 2-1 TC, 2-1 Defy, 0-0 Draw, Overall Defy win! [IMG]

    Defy vs TC by @Dragoarg7
Leading up to this match, there was lot’s of excitement. Both teams strength attack each others. TC has a good soldier based offense and if they get into the flag room, it is fairly easy for them to keep the flag. But Defiance is very good when it comes to pvp, so actually taking the flag is hard. Defiance defense is being backed up by Spexon and Prank, while TC is sporting some strong players themselves with Arctic and kevshadowslayer.

The first map, Opposites Collide v5, had a very enclosed flag room. Defiance benefits more on this map, with a good strong team of pvpers, and a solid chemist, medic and heavy main offense. The match starts with a quick steal for both teams. TitaniumTitan steals for Defiance shortly after HomieG15 makes it to the top of the map. Homie is being chased by Defy, and he tries to get the medic, but doesn’t get it and fails to get on the sponge, resulting in a capture. Titanium manages to get under, and with support pulls off a cap in under two minutes. Both teams go at it for a good bit, and results in no steals for a couple of waves. Homie manages to get another good steal, but with a misstep on the sponge, he has to turn around, and is eventually stopped. Pramk, aka Maddiq, manages to steal and run around the flag room until she exits, but a very nice web by junebugulas stops what may have been a second capture for Defiance. Defiance changes strategy to run two heavy, ninja and medic offense. With Defiance defense holding well, Pramk steals another flag across the map and separates herself from TC recovery. She manages to get another cap for Defiance, almost uncontested. After a flag room fight, redboo manages to steal for TC, and gets to the top. Redboo seems safe, but Juli3n goes up as ninja and manages to get a recovery before TC can capture. Again, the map is at a stalemate for a while. Multiple steals are held off and recovered on by a nice defense from TC. Juli3n steals as chemist and gets out of the flag room, while Homie steals as soldier and a stalemate is born. Juli3n gets recovered on and Homie heads to cap, but on the way TC’s flag is stolen by Titan, and Spexon manages to recover on Homie out of no where. Titan also dies, and no caps resulted from the stalemate. For three minutes no captures are made, with 3 minutes on the clock, TC needs to answer back. Z_Hobo manages to steal as heavy, and Kev gets out of the flag room as chemist at the same time. Kev tries to cut Hobo off, but is killed by an assassin. This leads Defiance to get the third cap of the game, and the next map is Blackout. Map Score: 3-0 Defiance.

Blackout starts off normally, without much excitement. The double soldier offense on TC is doing work, but thanks to LordCh4os, not as much as they want. Defiance is running the regular offense, with a soldier in it. Kev is the archer for TC, and while he manages to try and kill offensive members more, he is also doing nicely in the archer 1v1. It seems about even throughout the game. After 5 minutes Swit makes it out of the flag room with arctic clean, and seems to be free, but LordCh4os manages to pull off a nice headshot as Juli3n teleports in, resulting in a recovery. After that wave, Arctic gets out and gets to the side of the map, while Ch4os is finally dead. She jumps down, goes up and jumps back down, manages to juke the defensive soldier, but is caught up against a ninja. She quickly climbs over mid in time, and gets the medic, and it results in the first capture for TC. Right after that Pramk get the flag as soldier, makes it to the top of the middle, and cleanly gets a medic. TC tries to steal the flag to delay the capture, but is recovered on each time. Defiance answers back with a capture. A couple minutes into the game, Pramk pulls off a solo steal as soldier, but is jumped by june and no capture is made. Z_hobo steals after 12 minutes, gets out clean and with the help of a medic, gets a straight path to the flag room. Defiance leads the map 2-1. Swit take a nice steal, and with an unlucky freeze by the Defiance mage, gets out of the flag room, but a Defiance ninja knocks her off the edge. TC is trying very hard to get out of the flag room, but not much is working. TC rushes their entire offense into the flag room at once, and in the confusion Swit gets out of the flag room, and runs it down the side. With the help of a medic, and no headshot in range, TC gets a second capture to tie the map. Arctic jukes out the defense and almost caps, but all she did was buy time for the greatest thing during this match. Kevshadowslayer manages to steal the flag as archer. He runs it down under mid uncontested. Kev is being fought off, and with TC’s medic on cool down, drops dangerously low. Instead of running, he turns and fires a few shots off to hold the defense off. Just when he is about to get out of the flag room, he is knocked into spawn and the flag is restored. TC can’t just pull off another steal other than that archer one for the next couple of minutes. Two steals go off simultaneously, but thanks to both teams archers, neither are caps. Swit steals, but gets headshot. Luckily kev is there to pick up as archer. He gets down to a medic, but dies soon. The flag is picked up by Swit, and after a minute is turned into a capture. TC manages a fourth cap later on, and the map is ended 2-4 in TC’s favor. Props to @Deplicasus to predicting the score to the map!

The third map will go onto Valley of Ruin Original. This map can be very good for TC’s offense, which is soldier base, meaning if a soldier manages to get out, a cap is a very reasonable goal. But Defiance’s pvp offense can raid a flag room, and take an easy capture as well. This map will again be very dependent on archers. TC starts off with a simple defense, and the game is quiet at first. 5 minutes into the match Z_hobo gets a very nice steal out of the flag room, he is being cut off by TC defense, but an unlucky lightning spell from brobro manages to put him out of range of the pyro, and he runs it down to get medic support. After 5 minutes Defiance claims the first capture of the map. TC gets two back to back steals right after that capture, but neither make it very far. 8 minutes into the match TC brute forces their way into the flag room with a four man offense, and Arctic gets a very clean steal off, taking next to no damage. She manages to get assassinated as she exited the flag room by irol. Brobro switches back to ninja, and knocks pyro far enough away to where Arctic gets another no damage steal. Assassin was also trapped in the flag room this time. As she climbs to the top, LordCh4os gets two nice headshots onto the carrier, and the medic. As the flag is restoring, Z_hobo gets his second steal of the game. Unfortunately, Quarrelt, holds out like she has been most of this game. Hobo gets out a third time, but with no steak, its an easy 1v1 for june to get the recovery. Once again brobro gets the pyro again, zengjp gets a good steal and makes it top. The only difference this time is Ch4os is dead, and zeng goes far. With no recovery, TC caps for a tie game. Brobro tries again to kill the pyro, but this time dies and gives Spexon a free gift of frenzy. The rest of the offensive wave dies without frenzy going off, so TC offense will struggle next wave. This next wave, TC sends two ninjas on offense to distract pyro, which buys enough time for Zeng to get in an out of the flag room clean again. They make it to TC’s side of the map but Ch4os pulls of three headshots and buys enough time for Prank to recover as ninja. Defiance’s offense is having a hard time against TC’s defense which is one member down due to four offense of TC. Z_hobo steals again but is killed in the flag room, Defiance having no luck besides the first five minutes of this match. Pramk steals as medic, and manages to kill a record breaking four ninjas and an assassin before she finally dies to the 3rd double ninja strike of TC. Arctic gets out, and jukes the assassin but is headshot as she tries to cross the river. This leaves an empty flag room for zeng to steal the flag and get out far. She gets killed by three ninja strike, but then Arctic is in perfect position to pick the flag up. One minute on the clock and Arctic may get this final capture. Arctic makes it into the flag room, but TitaniumTitan pulls off a medic steal. Titanium manages to hold onto the flag for long enough to end the map, but due to medic teaming, and what would have been a recovery without one, TC gets a second capture, and the map ends 2-1 in TC favor.

TC is leading the series 2-1 in maps, but the match is tied on caps with 6-6. The fourth map is Lowrise. It starts off simple, and with this map being nice for soldiers, TC may have an advantage. Zeng gets a steal after 2 minutes, and gets a swift capture. TC leading map 1-0, and leading caps 1-0. Pramk also gets a soldier steal, and climbs to the roof. She gets a medic after being fought off, she makes it to flag room, when zeng steals for TC. Zeng dies and Laraa picks up as medic, but also dies. After an easy recov for Defiance, the score is tied 1-1 , and two captures within thirty seconds of each other. Zeng gets a nice steal, but it is followed up with a head shot. An undamaged Pramk gets the cleanest steal off, and drives it home to spawn, but forgets one thing. The flag. Neither offenses have much luck for others. Suddenly Pramk steals again, very clean, this time with the flag. Appreciation to gamren telling all of the CTF stream that “Stixxay was hospitalized”. Quar also hits a very nice frenzy, but leaves flag open for Hobo to steal, and get assassinated. Zeng then pulls off another steal, consistently doing this well all game, and gets boosted from the flag too the door by a falling soldier. Before zeng can get to flag room, she is frenzied, but survives, although burning steak. Hobo pulls off a steal to deny this capture for now, but is contested. The first true stalemate of the game is born. Neither teams can do much damage, although advantage to Defiance with a heavy holding versus a soldier. Spexon gets a pyro to the back about 6 minutes into the stalemate, gets frenzy off of a ninja, and due to bad coordination, Spexon gets a 1v1 recov on zeng. Quar on the other hand sneaks in as pyro, but has less luck than Spexon did. Defiance now leads the map 2-1, and leads the game by one cap total. Defiance drops down to a heavy defense. The pyro actually respawns for Defiance, so zeng gets out a clean steal, possibly the last of the map. She runs it top, and she makes it out, but Juli3n and Spexon are waiting for her at the end. Arctic almost gets a steal, but a good lightning spell knocks Arc far enough from flag that she can not cap anymore. TC’s final chance at a capture dies, when zeng steals as hobo does. The map ends 2-1 for Defiance, Defiance leading the cap score by 1.

The final map is Skyworlds. TC has better soldiers than Defiance, which is good for this map, but with the defensive bias, and the mage advantage, Defiance can still do well on this map. The map starts off with Spexon and Quar doing pyro things, aka killing everyone. Two soldiers kill the pyro, but irol gets a nice assassinate to top captures. Defiance definitely is playing more defensively, which can work with the defensive bias on the map. Archers for both teams keeping the offensive waves to a minimum, keeping the map with zero steals making it outside of the flag room. Juli3n gets the first steal, and almost makes it to sponge, but a fresh dead Arctic blocks him from it. With everyone on recovery, Titan steals the flag uncontested while its recovered, and then runs it down the side. Prank manages to solo clear the flag room 5 minutes later, and Juli3n gets out clean. He falls off, but as he does he gets a slow motion action throw of the flag to the side ledge where two soldiers were waiting for him, but Arctic manages to slide in for the recovery. Not much happens. Almost nothing happens. One minute left, TC launches an offense, and Defiance plays more defensively. With less than a minute, it is very hard to get across this map. Defiance manages to win this super long match by caps. The cap score was 8-7 Defiance, maps were 3-0, 2-4, 1-2, 2-1, 0-0. Player of the game goes to Spexon_01.

[Tournanment] The Black Knights vs Annihilation by @Deplicasus
With the eliminations having finished and only BK, TC, Anni and Defy remaining, the MSW Invitational is kicking off the semi-finals with a highly anticipated match: The Black Knights vs. Annihilation. Both teams brought incredibly strong rosters, with players such as Unifier, LeDoener and Misplacement for BK and Miskey, aefrogdog and PhantomYoshi for Anni. It was destined to be a good match, and a good match it certainly was.

The first map was BK’s pick, Large Hall: A map that isn’t used a lot in competitive matches, so it being picked was surely a surprise. But this decision on BK’s part was worth it, as not even 45 seconds into the game, Streaq got a very nice steal due to Orange being afk in spawn and capped at about the 1 minute mark. BK then had a few failed attempts at stealing, whilst Miskey managed to steal for Anni, only to get cornered and then critted by BK’s defense. After 5 minutes of failed steals, Misplacement distracted the Anni def, giving Streaq a clean steal, followed by AchiIIes_Heal stealing BK’s flag too, only to get recoved off of by Recoved, Unifier and Epeek. But not all hope was lost, as iDunoU stole BK’s flag as Elf, who got half-way across the map and got the Medic, but died to Recoved and LeDoener, resulting in the 2nd capture for BK. A while later, AchiIIs_Heal stole again for Anni, followed by Recoved stealing for BK thanks to a distraction by CommunistDog_. With Recoved passing off to Streaq and both teams getting the Medic, a stalemate had begun. After a few minutes, TrennyBMyAllstar managed to recover the flag as Pyro, but AchiIIes_Heal’s road to capping was interrupted by Epeek, who got a clean steal and support from the Mage, resulting in another stalemate. But Anni got themselves an Archer, who proceeded to headshot Epeek, and choochoo16 failed to pick up due to another headshot. Recoved tried to pearl to the Archer, but accidentally picked up in the process, and he was forced to drop it because of the “no ninja holding” rule, effectively giving Anni the recov. But this time, there wasn’t anyone to steal Anni’s flag, resulting in a capture for Anni, courtesy of AchiIIes_Heal. About 30 seconds later, Streaq stole for BK, making it to mid before getting headshot. Thankfully though, Misplacement was there to pick it up, and Unifier killed the recovery, leading to a capture, and ending the game at 3-1 in BK’s favour.

The 2nd map was Blackout, Anni’s pick. BK subbed in LeDoener for Misplacepeek, causing PhantomYoshi to say in red’s team chat: “They givin us charity”. Well Yoshi wasn’t entirely wrong: BK had recently not be playing very well on this map, but would they muster up their strength and beat Anni? Well, nearly. The first 2 minutes featured a few failed steals by both teams, before choochoo16 stole as Medic and got all the way to mid, before being headshot by iDunoU. Fortunately for BK, choochoo had a lot of support, and so Unifier picked it up. But before he could cap, AchiIIes_Heal stole as Soldier, and got the Medic soon after. On the other hand, stuff wasn’t looking so good for BK anymore: iDunoU headshot Recoved, who had been passed the flag, and aefrogdog got the recov, leading to a capture by AchiIIes_Heal. Misplacement got a good steal thanks to medic teaming, but was quickly shut down by Squantonias as Assassin. Streaq attempted a steal, but was headshot by iDunoU 5 seconds later, and Squantonias recovered. Streaq managed to steal again, but the Anni defense had killed the Medic. He got knocked off the map, and when he tried to climb back up, Squantonias assassinated him, gaining yet another recov. A few seconds later, Misplacement stole as Medic, followed by AchiIIes_Heal stealing as Soldier, and thus a stalemate begun. PhantomYoshi and Miskey failed to recover as Ninja, but iDunoU managed to use the commotion to headshot Misplacement, and TrennyBMyAllstar got the recovery, causing a 2nd capture for Annihilation. 19 minutes in, Streaq once again got a good steal, but was stopped by a combined effort by 2 Ninjas and an Assassin. About 20 seconds later, most of Anni’s def intercepted BK’s Medic, but that left the flagroom with just the Pyro, making a good opportunity for Streaq to steal. He didn’t get very far though, as his Medic got frozen and he himself got headshot. Once again, because of Anni’s solo Pyro on flagroom defense, BK managed a steal, this time by Misplacement as Medic. But unfortunately for BK, he died to aefrogdog’s damage spell. AchiIIes_Heal soon after got a steal for Anni, and after some slight troubles, achieved Anni’s 3rd capture. 14 minutes in, Streaq got another steal for BK, but this time he survived enough to get the Medic, giving BK its 1st capture on the map. About a minute later, Streaq stole the flag yet again, but his dreams of a 2nd BK cap were crushed when he got knocked off the map. Or were they? Misplacement got the steal for BK, webbing 4 of Anni’s defense to the ground in the process. But Miskey had pearled out, and made quick work of Misplacement, gaining the recov. BK’s dreams were crushed. Miskey stole the flag, but got nowhere. Now remember when I said BK’s dreams were crushed? Of course you do, you read it 15 seconds ago. Well, I lied. Because as Miskey was stealing, Streaq had stealed, got out, got the Medic, and was now half way across the map. He didn’t have any competition except a minor nuisance from aefrogdog, so he got the capture, earning BK it’s 2nd cap on Blackout. A couple of failed stealing attempts later, Streaq and AchiIIes_Heal both stole the opposing teams’ flags, with Streaq getting out and AchiIIes getting recoved off of. A few seconds later, Miskey got a good steal, and passed to AchiIIes_Heal, who was Heavy. But AchiIIes_Heal soon was to get headshot, with Miskey failing to pick it up, and aefrogdog picking it up and then getting knocked off the map, earning BK its 3rd capture. A few failed steals later, Streaq and AchiIIes_Heal both stole, as Soldier and Heavy, respectively. AchiIIles_Heal was near death due to fire damage, but he handed off the flag to Miskey, thus beginning another stalemate. The attempts at recovery were good, but not good enough to break the tie, ending the game at 3-3, after a 6-minute stalemate.

The 3rd map was Skyworlds, and the Chhimichanga vs iDunoU archer 1v1s were probably the most entertaining things of the map for some. A few minutes in, AchiIIes_Heal got a steal, but got aerial assassinated by Unifier, causing him to make a typo. 5 minutes in, both Streaq and AchiIIes_Heal stole as Soldier, but AchiIIes died soon after, leading to BK’s 1st capture on the map. A lot of failed steals later, AchiIIes_Heal had a nice steal, but was shut down by Chhimichanga’s headshot. A lot more failed stealing attempts later, AchiIIes_Heal stole again, this time succeeding at surviving, with Misplacepeek soon stealing for BK as well. Unfortunately though, both flag carriers got recoved off of, putting everyone back at step 1. A few minutes later, BK cleared Anni’s flagroom, Misplacement stole, handed it off to Misplacepeek, but Misplacepeek was assassinated by Squantonias, with Miskey getting the recov. Later, Misplacepeek got a good steal, getting out the flagroom and reaching the Medic, but got headshotted on the bridge to the flagroom, and Epeek picked up. But, of course, due to “no ninja holding” rules, Epeek had to drop the flag, and Miskey recoved. Misplacement got another good steal, but was ganged up on by the Anni defense a few seconds later. After that, the timer had ran out, with a 1-0 win for BK.

The 4th map was Giant Chests. About 1 minute into the game, Misplacepeek got a steal, getting outside the flagroom and reaching the Medic, but was headshot by iDunoU, with PhantomYoshi getting the recovery. A few failed steals later, Misplacepeek stole as Elf, making his way across the map, gaining BK their 1st capture on Giant Chests. A lot of failed attempts at stealing later, a pretty well co-ordinated Anni offense led AchiIIes_Heal to steal, crossing the map and capturing just before Misplacement stole, who crossed the map without competition after he juked all of Anni’s soldiers. Miskey then stole, but died a few dozen blocks outside the flagroom. About a minute later, Misplacement stole, but was cornered by aefrogdog in the water. AchiIIes_Heal stole, and with the whole BK defense going for the recov, Miskey was left alone in the flagroom. So when BK recoved, he got a clean steal. Unfortunately though, he had no steak and the Medic had failed to restore him, so he eventually died, just outside the flagroom. With 4 minutes left, choochoo16 stole the flag. He got pretty far, but was then knocked into the water by a Ninja, and recoved off of by Joyrides. And with just 3 minutes left, Unifier stole the flag, made it to BK’s flagroom, died, had Misplacement pick it up as Medic, and even with a lot of pressure, he managed to get a hold of BK’s 3rd capture for the map, thus ending it at 3-1 for BK, and ending the match at 10-5 in BK’s favour.

    “Anything for makeawish?” –Miskey 2017

    Final scores:
    3-1 BK
    3-3 Tie
    1-0 BK
    3-1 BK

    The Crusaders vs Unity

Prematch interview with @GoToBed by @Chhimichanga
Chhimichanga - So starting off, how do you think Unity will do against TC on blackout? TC's dominant map as everyone knows!

GotoBed - I think TC's strongest points are their soldiers and several great archers. I think it will be challenging but if our ninjas can target them and just be annoying like a ninja should be i think we have a good chance. I also believe that if our offence can communicate they will manage to do a lot of damage.

Chhimichanga - Ninjas on blackout is definitely helpful. Are you personally worried about any specific players on TC?

GotoBed - Definitely kev if he's archer as he has a great aim. I also wouldn't want to play against June because he's good at both capping and defending. Another player that is good is Arctic with her wall climbing skills.

Chhimichanga - Does Unity have a specific map pick they prefer?

GotoBed - I would say Valley of Ruin is good for our ninja defence but it's also pretty hard to cap on, might be good though because it counters TC's soldiers. I believe that a Unity map is in the process of being made so I guess watch out for that, doubt it will be done for this match though *****.

Chhimichanga - Cool about the Unity map! So strategic talk, Unity sometimes runs with triple/double ninjas on defense/roaming. Do you think you'll use that against TC on any maps?

GotoBed - Depends who is free to play I guess and who is playing for them. Although I would like to say either myself or Matt (Versions) will likely be playing ninja. Not sure about blackout because it's great for soldier defense.

Chhimichanga - Last question! Is Unity confident about a victory over TC?

GotoBed - We have lost in the recent matches to them however I would say we are confident, with several recent additions to the team I believe we have a good chance.

Chhimichanga - Awesome! Thanks for your time

    GotoBed - Bedtime now. Bye.

Today saw Unity triumph over The Crusaders:
    0-0 Tie
    3-1 Unity
    3-0 Unity
