Gift Purchases / Real World Trading

We do not allow trading of Brawl store purchases for anything from a third party or external source. This includes Minecraft accounts, Counter-Strike skins, money, etc. In addition, you may not trade Brawl store purchases in return for a player to join your in-game clan, give in-game items to you, etc.

All purchases on the Brawl store should either be for yourself or a pure gift to another player.

We will not switch purchases or return your money if you are making a store purchase in trade for another object. Instead, you will be punished for real world trading.

Alternate Accounts

Players are allowed to play on other accounts as long as they do not use these accounts to violate any restrictions in-game. We do not allow players to use accounts that are not owned by them. Any extra accounts used by the player need to be purchased by the player, or they could suffer discipline. This means that you are responsible for any accounts that you have logged on. If they suffer a discipline, you will too.

You are not allowed to use alternate accounts if you have a total of 3 lifetime bans (that were not appealed) across all of your accounts. You will be permanently banned from Brawl if you violate this rule.

Warnings

The warning system delivers escalating punishments based on the offense. There are several different categories to cover all possible offenses and they all have a unique set of escalating punishments as well as an expiration time. Only warnings that have not expired account for the given punishments. To view your own active warnings, you can use /warnings.

Continuous Rule Violations

If a player has a total of 15 or more punishments (kicks, mutes, bans) within the last 3 months, no matter for which rule violation, they will be punished for continuous rule violation. If only 2 or less of the punishments are kicks/tempbans and all others are mutes, the punishment will be a permanent mute. If 3 or more of the punishments are kicks/tempbans, the account will receive a ban. False, requested and duplicate punishments, and automatic bans and CTF match kicks do not count.

We reserve the right to ban permanently for a lower amount of rule violations if the rule violations were more severe (threats, major chat offenses).

Further details and clarifications:

  • If a player was punished for Continuous Rule Violations before and either purchased an unban/unmute or appealed the ban/mute, they may be banned again after only 8 more rule violations of any kind.
  • Punishments for Continuous Rule Violations will not be lifted within less than 3 months unless they are false.
  • Punishments across alternate accounts do not add up.

Discouraged & Disallowed Strategies

Standard Minecraft includes a number of exploitable bugs which can provide benefits similar to hacked clients. Abusing these bugs will be considered major abuse and players will receive according warnings.

There are some strategies that are not strictly against the rules, but we highly discourage using these strategies as they look very similar to cheating. You will not be banned for using these strategies, but we may mistake you for cheating. If this happens, saying you were using these strategies will not be accepted as a valid excuse.

The following strategies are discouraged:

  • Using F3+A (chunk refresh) to see players through blocks
  • Freezing your client to give yourself an advantage similar to anti-knockback or fly
  • Certain clicking techniques that allow for very high levels of CPS, including butterfly clicking and rebinding buttons

Macro Rules

Macros can be a useful quality of life tool, however we have strict guidelines about what is an allowed macro.

You can use macros so long as they do not violate any of the following rules:

  • Only chat/command macros are allowed.
  • A macro must open chat. It cannot send chat/command without opening the chat bar. This does not apply to CTF.
  • The button/key used to trigger a macro must be pressed manually.
  • A single button/key can only execute 1 chat message or command.
  • A macro cannot automatically trigger, or alter itself based on data from the game.

Last updated 4/5/2021: Made a separate warning category for cross-teaming on Party & CTF
  • Be respectful and constructive in discussions.
  • Keep offensive language (cursing) to a minimum.
  • Keep posts related to the main post at all times (stay on-topic).
  • Don't spam threads or forums with unnecessary content.
  • Don't flame or rage towards community members.
    • Don't bypass or attempt to bypass any word filters.
  • Don't have an 18+ or gore avatar/signature.
  • Don't ask a staff member to lock a thread that isn't yours.
  • Don't advertise other servers.
  • Don't attempt to sell or trade your Minecraft account on the forums
  • Don't Post:
    • Another individual's content
    • Threads intended to bash or flame specific users.
    • Memes, GIFs or full image posts on serious discussions
    • Gore, 18+, or Screamer links
    • On old, dead, or resolved threads (Grave Digging / Necro Posting)
    • Personal information that you don't want to be public
    • Troll applications in the application section.
    • Hackusations/rage picture threads.

    • Ex. "Relog on minecraft" "Reboot ur minecraft" "Open and close minecraft"

Signature Restrictions

While we already have limitations on the amount of lines, images and such on signatures there are some things we cannot restrict automatically. Here are the specific rules for what content you may not have in your signature.

  • Don't advertise your moderator application.
  • Don't include images of swear words.
  • Don't include images or video links of hackers, glitchers, or cheaters.
  • Don't include images of people accusing you (or others) of hacks.
  • Don't include rapidly flashing GIF images. (seizure images)
  • All forum rules apply to signatures.

We will remove any content that violates these rules from your signature and issue a warning on your account. If you continue to put rule violating content in your signature you will be restricted from editing it.

Grave-digging / Bumping

Grave-digging is when you post an unneeded reply on an old thread (usually a month or two old). When this is done it brings it to the top of the thread listing. This is very annoying because the content usually doesn't need to be brought back up.

Please keep in mind that we do not want old, resolved threads to be grave-dug. If you are wanting to add something to the topic that hasn't been discussed please post on that old thread rather than creating a new one.

Example: There is a three month old topic discussing a new feature that should be added to war. You think of this idea, or a very similar idea, and you are wanting to post about it. Rather than making a whole new thread to discuss this similar feature, just post on the old three month old topic.

If you see a pointless post on an old (newly posted on) topic that you think doesn't add to the discussion please report it immediately. Do not reply to the post and say something about how they grave-dug the thread, bumped, etc.. this causes more work for us because we have to clean up the thread before we take action.
